We rode the Empire State Trail from NYC to Albany. Our guides Rich and Vic are pros and took care of all the riders needs.

We took the Erie Canal West tour in late September. It was our first supported ride, but not our last! Our guides, Paul and James, were excellent. Communication before and during our trip was great. The accommodations, food, and equipment were next level.

Did the class 2/3 rapids. I loved the beauty and adventure. Our guide makes everything so safe, easy, and fun!!!!
DO NOT GO ON A TRIP WITHOUT A GUIDE. I've been on multiple wwr trips, and still I'd never go without a guide.
We had to save 3 guys who went without a guide. Our guide saves people every day who can't paddle the rapids.

This was our third Wilderness Voyageurs bike tour. The tour guides have always been fantastic, but Pat and Dave from this tour have been the best yet! Pine Creek and Ghost Town trails were amazing. The accommodations were great and the snacks and lunches provided along the trail were delicious. I highly recommend this bike tour or any from Wilderness Voyageurs.

I kept telling our guides (Roger & Anna) that it is easily seen why Wilderness Voyagers gets so many 5-star reviews - ITS BECAUSE THEY DESERVE THEM ! ! ! From the ride (and the way ride with GPS works...), to the route (the trail and views are beautiful), to the daily ride briefings (what to expect on the trail and where snack and lunch stops would be) to the OUTSTANDING support at each snack or lunch stop, and the food and drink provided at each stop. To the support on the trail (we did have one individual who got a flat tire and the sweep rider of the day arrived and fixed it for him !). The lodging was excellent either trailside (our first night was literally 10 feet off the GAP trail), the 2 nights at the Summit Inn (with 2 pools and a 9-hole golf course), to the beautiful bed and breakfast in Meyersdale (with EXCELLENT home cooked breakfast AND dinner - this place is deserving of a 5-star review on its own merits). We rented bikes for this ride and they were in EXCELLENT condition and repair. We had no issue with our bike rentals (as I have in the past renting from a different company for a different ride). On a scale of 1-10 their rental bikes are definitely a 10 ! Prior to our first ride Roger & Anna were sure to make any necessary minor adjustments for sizing etc to ensure a perfect fit (which they were!). There really aren’t enough adjectives to adequately praise Wilderness Voyagers or our guides Roger & Anna for the beautiful ride my wife and I enjoyed and the “Royal” treatment we received for 5 days! Not being an “avid” bike rider my wife was a bit hesitant to embark on a 150 mile journey, but this (level 3) ride turned out to be perfect! We did rent e-bikes, so there were no issues in riding the 30-43 miles a day. I would recommend this particular 5 day GAP ride for a first time rider as it included 1 day without any riding. This day included a tour of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater property in the morning and an afternoon to do as you please (in our group of 11, 2 went golfing, 3 went white water rafting – also with Wilderness Voyagers – 3 went hiking in Ohiopyle, 1 had his own vehicle in Ohiopyle and toured other Frank Lloyd Wright properties, and 2 enjoyed strolling around the quaint town of Ohiopyle. This was the perfect “introductory” biking tour with Wilderness Voyagers, and I am positive it will not be the last trip my wife and I take with them. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ! ! ! You should get a brochure and look at all the other various rides/trips that Wilderness Voyagers offers (as there are many, many to choose from). I KNOW we will DEFINEATLY be riding with them again ! ! !

This was a wonderful experience for me and my daughter! Brian and Paul were the very best guides we could have hoped to have to lead us on our first bike trip. We accomplished our goal of biking the Erie Canal through their support. In addition we were given excellent food and accommodations. Thank you WV!!

They were not helpful when we need to add more people to the group. The customer service was not willing to help and didn’t even say try other places, since they are full. We can’t help you is all we got. The trip was long and they missed lunches at first place. Delayed the trip by an hour. Many rafts portaged at Dimple rock as guides are scaring rafters.

Consistently great experiences with Wilderness Voyageurs. I've booked tours through them 6-8 times, mostly whitewater, and every one has been exactly as promised. They've been especially great at accommodating various youth groups I've brought. Definitely my go-to for outdoor adventures in the Laurel Highlands and on the Yough.

I went with a friend down over the 4th of July weekend to take him white water rafting for the first time. It also had been 18 years since I had gone when I was 15. I knew there would be a lunch so we didn't pack a bag to bring on the raft although we probably should have at least brought some water bottles. Both the guides were very friendly and nice. My only complaint would be that we were prepared to buy water proof pouches for our phones from the shop so we could possibly take some pictures of the landscape or of ourselves enjoying the ride. As I was asking the friendly girl at the counter about them and she was on her way to grab them for us some grouchy older lady started yelling "leave everything you don't want to get wet in the car, you won't have any service out there anyway." To which I replied "I don't need service to take pictures" she then replied "as soon as you take it out it's just gonna go overboard into the water". This kind of discouraged us so we went and put our phones back in the car and you lost a sale at the shop. Now we did the middle yough.... It's about as lazy and lame of a ride as can be. There were no rapids that were going to toss anything off the raft. I felt like we were robbed of an opportunity to take amazing pictures of the landscape and document out trip because this older lady on the staff discouraged us from taking our phones. It otherwise was a nice trip though. I would go again but I'd probably do the upper yough for a bit more exciting rapids.

Our Georgia bike trip in April was fabulous! Our guides Pat and Kathy were the absolute best. They took such good care of us…the food and accommodations were awesome!! The biking was just right …saw so much and the Savannah city tour was so educational…. I’d do this trip again next year!
