I took my tax documents to this company at the beginning of March, 2022. I was told on April 14th that they were so busy they were filing an extension for all of their clients. When a client calls to check on the status of their return, they don't answer the phone. Instead you get a voice-message that says clients who call and interrupt are slowing down the process for everyone. AND a cheerful notice that there is a sign in their office which says "deadlines are optional". Sorry, I don't find that humorous when you are dealing with my financial well-being. When I called, (only the second time I had called), and left a message in which I said I would like to be apprised as to what is happening with my tax return, and that I feel their voice message is unprofessional...this was their response: Finley Finley Tue, May 24, 6:34 PM to me Unprofessional? Though we can attach a few choice adjectives to your attitude in rebuttal, we will not stoop to such depths! Frustrated? Lady, you have no idea! Not that it is any of your concern, a member of our household is failing fast. No medical professional is willing to share the span to expect. She could have a month or two of life remaining or die in her sleep tonight. Clients, new or long term, who continually badger are unwanted. We offer you the following opportunity right this moment to either 1) wait out the 6 returns to be processed before yours, or 2) request your documents be returned to you via snail mail. What is your choice? Needless to say, I went to their office and got my paperwork and then sent my taxes out of state to my former tax person...who had them done in 5 days. I not only do not recommend anyone use Finley and Finley due to their extreme LACK OF PROFFESIONALISM, I highly recommend you run the other way. Do NOT trust this company with your personal information. They obviously took on way more work than they could handle and then expect their clients to suck it up. And if you complain....you get vitiole.
