“Steve is an incredibly knowledgeable mechanic with some solid connections in the auto repair industry. So if he can’t do a service for you, he knows the name of a shop that can. As a woman, I love this because it makes my life easier. Instead of Googling businesses, I can just make a call and use his name for reference.

I was referred to him because of a broken latch on my hood of my car. After prying it open, Steve showed me the broken cable and then the steps he took to repair it. While completing the oil change, he also let me know about a few other issues that my car was having that was preventing it from driving at its best.

Steve has a loaner if you need to leave your car for an extended period of time. And a wonderful, pleasant receptionist named Joy. When you meet her, you’ll see how her name just fits her. Because I had to work that afternoon, Joy even gave me a ride back to my house.

At a time when businesses are just trying to nickel and dime you, without providing you with the customer service they brag about, Steve is a treasure.

“I cannot give enough praise to these folks. I purchased a 1957 Thunderbird in May 2023, and had them do an initial inspection to diagnose any problems. I also had some issues with paint at spots that I wanted addressed. We decided that I should drive the car through the summer and then bring it in at the end of the season to take care of the paint issues. From the start they were very honest and informative, letting me know that they had no way of knowing what they might encounter until they started exploring the flaws and exposed any hidden deterioration that might present itself. We came up with a plan on where I wanted to start and went from there. As the paint was removed, and the body explored further, additional problems were found as well as previous shoddy repairs. At every step, the staff presented their findings and gave me options on how to proceed and their recommendations – which were always very well thought out. No repair was started without a conversation and approval from me. As the work began, I was amazed by the knowledge base, skills, talent, and passion displayed and incorporated into this project. “I own a 2008 Roush Blackjack. I had a bad hesitation / dead spot shifting into second gear. I Bought my Roush from previous owner this way. Frustrated I brought it to a local mustang mechanic and he changed the plugs. I Still had same problem. He told me it was a fuel pump problem and couldn’t help me.
Then I took it to another local speed shop. They said it was probably a tune problem. That speed shop referred me to Second Street Performance and arranged my Roush Mustang to be trailered to Pennsylvania.
Two days later I got a call from Bill the owner of SSP and he told me I had the wrong plugs installed. Bill also said my Roush was out of tune. So Bill erased the tune and perfectly designed his own tune according to all the performance add ons.
Not only did my Roush run impeccable.
I also gained almost 40 hp. Bill is amazing!
