We had Shelly's design a wet bar for our basement project. The design was wonderful. We ordered cabinets in December they arrived in February with every door and some cabinets damaged. Doors had unpainted areas and nicks in the doors especially corners. Paid 19,000 for a small wet bar area. They want us to just install the cabinets and have a furniture repairman fix the cabinets. I bought new cabinets at the top end price and they want me to settle for used cabinets and doors. Overpriced. Poor quality construction. Poor customer service. Still waiting for door replacements. Promised us weekly updates which have been non-existent. I wish I would have looked at the reviews on Schrock cabinets before ordering these cabinets.

We had a great experience with Ann Marie in designing a new kitchen for our home. She started by asking how we use the kitchen, and designed alongside us keeping what we told her in mind. She came up with two design options, and while we made some smaller adjustments to one, we really liked her ideas. My contractor has used her before and they worked really well together. Our only hiccup was sometimes a delayed response. However, we started our project in the fall of 2020 (Covid year), and they were slammed with projects.Including a couple of photos of the finished product! I would work with Ann Marie again.

I have depended on these folks for years and they always do the right thing. The customer service has been outstanding, not perfect but that doesn't stop them from trying. Loyalty and integrity are paramount.

good "hometown" feel hardware store with a selection of stuff that is closer to big chain type stores

Getting rid of a lot of typical consumer stock in favor of major contractor supplies.

Small hardware store offering everything you need, INCLUDING knowledge staff that help you find your items. I spent half as much time wandering around looking for supplies and was able to get back to my project.

First of all, if you need to buy something while you're there, don't bother going to Shelly's. They have little to no selection. In the off chance they do have an item you're looking for, it's about 10% more than any other hardware store. If you're content with ordering a box of screws and waiting a week for them to come in then they MIGHT be able to get what you're looking for. As far as contractors ordering stuff for jobs I know a bunch of people that use them but they're ordering stuff for jobs weeks in advance. Second, what the heck kind of hardware store doesn't take debit/credit cards under $10? You'd rather lose a $9 sale rather than pay the 3% fee??? I'm all about supporting the local stores but do your self a favor and go to Home Depot or Lowe's first... you're going to end up driving there anyway.
