For 4 generations and counting, the Anastasi family has provided live and fresh seafood on South 9th street in the heart of Philadelphia’s Italian Market. Our great grandfather, Thomas Anastasi, started his fish business in the early 1900’s selling fish off a cart he pushed throughout South Philly. Thomas and his wife had six children and eventually three of the son’s formed their own business, selling fruits and vegetables in the market, but our grandfather Salvatore and his brother Freddy decided to follow in their father’s footsteps and sell fish.
