I stopped in to look at colors and buy samples to swatch. The fellow who helped me was unprofessional and the samples I Ieft with were a mess.
- There was dried, gummy paint around the openings of the sample cans. He carefully scraped this off with his finger (yay!), but then instead of discarding it, scraped the residue into the can (what?!). Of course, I didn't speak up because I figured he must know what he was doing (this seemed too obvious to need calling out, so I foolishly assumed that I was misunderstanding and that the paint around the rim wasn't dry). Putting the samples onto the walls was a messy exercise in booger removal.
- I was friendly and polite when approaching the counter, but was prompted to "say please" again in a really weird way. I could see this being okay under some circumstances (no one wants to be treated rudely), but I'd been friendly (and said please) so it felt uncalled for and strange.
The guy was generally off-ish in an unprofessional way and it felt personal. I wouldn't complain about someone who awkward; we can all have awkward moments. But a pro adding boogers to a half a dozen sample cans, coupled with rudeness when I approached the counter and while he was mixing, makes me think it was deliberate. It was my first time in the store, and I'd chatted with another lady in the swatches section but hadn't interacted with anyone else. Bad behavior was uncalled for.

Since the new manager Brandon took over the store - service has been incredible. He is very knowledgable about Sherwin product lines, consulted me about several projects I was working on and made recommendations that worked out great and fit in my budget. My clients and me were extremely pleased with the outcome, plus Brandon got me materials from a sister store when he was out of stock. Best store, efficient & top notch customer care and best manager. Would highly recommend.

I went in this morning for spray paint. I didn’t see the small section and so I asked the guys at the front. When I did his name was “Brandon” he said “this is going to sound crazy but it’s under the sign labeled spray paint” then him and the other guy had this little smirk after he said it. What Brandon doesn’t know is that we have a commercial account and we spend quite a bit of money with you all. No need to treat customers like this. My fault for not seeing it but all you had to say was it’s “over there”. We’ll be taking our business else where moving forward.

Dropped off an existing sample of stained wood and was told that a matching stain would be ready in a day. I came back two days later but no action had been taken. I came back a week later and they had an acceptable stain that they showed me on a wood sample I had supplied. I was very surprised when the “matched” stain wasn’t the stain they sold me. I only found out this after applying the stain to the finished work. Now I get to live with a less than desirable job.
