“A MUST STOP when in the area! I try to stop in The Alley Door whenever I am nearby. The inventory is always new and there’s many hidden gems. In today’s visit my sister found a vineyard vines sweatshirt, a rails dress and a black linen dress. She also purchased some very cute tea cups. I found a new hat and brand name swim trunks for my husband, an adorable brass sailboat figurine, and a pair of RL shorts. I’ve always found something here that I either needed or couldn’t pass up for the GREAT prices!!! Carol is a doll. And the shop is organized and fun to shop in. From the property to the events, it’s like stepping back in time, and yet, there is an effortless modern efficiency about it all. It’s family owned and you can TELL. Everyone cares deeply about you and oozes gratitude for your presence on their property. Their barn sales are always super well staffed and organized, the retreats feel like a true break from the real world- I can only imagine their weddings are a dream. I’m a fan for life!”

“The best of the best ~ you know you are in for a treat when the decorating of the exterior of the barn is just as stunning and unique as the interior. This is an absolutely charming shop! There are three floors of beautiful, one-of-a-kind offerings in the barn from repurposed vintage furniture to candles, wooden signs, hand painted seasonal decor. The vision and imagination it takes to create/paint each piece of furniture requires a lot of talent ~ and you will not be disappointed. The owner is a very friendly, lovely lady who was working on new pieces when we arrived, the barn is exquisitely organized, and the prices are better than reasonable. This is a definite for revisiting ~ over and over again ~ it's worth the trip!”

“This is a great shop! They have limited hours and since I'm not in that part of the state often, it took me months to finally get inside! It was worth the wait! The staff (or they might be volunteers) are always friendly and helpful. The items are displayed beautifully and everything is clean. It's fun to find something that you never knew you were looking for until you spot it!”
“This review is long overdue ... About six years ago, my daughter was shopping at retail stores for a prom dress, finding nothing (affordable) that she liked. A customer overheard us, and suggested that if we were willing to drive out to Skippack, there was a store that could almost definitely help. I looked it up on my phone - we could get there, but we'd arrive about ten minutes before they closed. I called the store, and the owner agreed to stay open late - just for us.We drove out there, and we were not disappointed. At first, I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of merchandise available, but the kind owner spoke with my daughter for a few minutes, disappeared, and returned with three dresses. All three were viable candidates, and my daughter picked one of them. The price she charged for the dress, matching shoes, and a clutch was a mere fraction of what we would have paid for the dress alone at a retail store.This is not a typical store. If you browse by yourself, you may have a very difficult time finding what you're looking for. I would seriously consider making an appointment in advance. But the payoff is huge; the owner knows her stock extremely well, and customers should leverage this.”

“While I unfortunately could not work here as I do enjoy this place very much and the ladies working in here are extremely nice and have always welcomed me with a smile usually. Seems like a very upbeat environment and I love that. Also the selling process is stress free. I do sometimes feel a little lowballed on certain items but they are always so kind and friendly to fix any issues. Definitely will always be buying my kids things from this store, plus the store manager is so nice and awesome!??☺?”
“This store is so amazing. My teen daughter wanted to try Plato's closet next door and we fell love with both stores. As a plus size women I often struggle in second hand stores but this store is so well organized. It is stuffed with merchandise and it takes time to look at everything but the ladies here work hard to keep it well organized by categories and size. So many purses and shoes and accessories. We were lucky to catch a 5 dollar bag sale so we filled that and then found some other items. My husband even found something from their Men's section. And there was a 90% off a lot of jewelry when we went.”

“My wife loves this place. Great for 2nd hand designer clothing. The quality is usually very good. A large selection of woman’s clothing and accessories and a small men’s section at the back of the store. You obviously can consign your designer clothes and if they sell you get paid at the end of that pay period. Note your sell price - % off for the consignment”

Normally these kind of stores only exist in the city, so I'm so glad to have discovered one so close to home! I was able to get my absolute DREAM, authentic leather, perfectly worn in, vintage 1970s boots at an amazing price, all thanks to the owner who gave me a great deal and made my dreams come true!
