Good news is close to the highway, bad news is close to the highway. Stayed here in January ‘25 with a room facing the front of the hotel and other than renovations going on on the first floor, it was fine. Stayed again in March ‘25 in an even numbered room along the back of the hotel facing the highway and all you could hear was traffic noise of every car & truck going by. One would think if the rooms had already been renovated, like it appeared they were, the windows would have been replaced with more soundproof windows. Rooms were okay and beds were comfortable, but if you want more quiet, stay in an odd numbered room on the opposite side of the highway!

Newly renovated. Beautiful location but in the middle of nowhere. Great place to stay if traveling along I81
Walkability: There is one gas station and one diner that you can walk to. Car dependent for sure

Very clean and quiet. Great gym to work out in. An incredible diner right next door. Close to the exit for the weary traveler.
Nearby activities: Many churches and quaint towns such as Minersville and Pine Grove.
Safety: Off the highway and busy roads.

this was certainly a great place to stay!!!! everyone was so nice. The breakfast was great and the pool was clean!!! we were camping at at Rouse Creek trail riders with my four-year-old son. I figured I’d give him a night to relax. This was a perfect spot.

Edit: stayed another time and got a renovated room. It is very nice as to be expected with a Hilton brand hotel. The self check out on the app is nice too.
They are in the process of renovation. I stayed in a room not renovated yet and actually had no issues with it. Some wall paper in the bathroom was damaged but nothing alarming especially for a room not started on yet. I travel with my two dogs and always appreciate a dog friendly hotel but they go the extra mile by handing out a flyer with local vets and pet stores.
My only suggestion and reason for the one star deduction is the outside lighting. The back parking lot needs more lights. The front lot had pretty decent lighting but the lot fills up quickly.

My family stays at Hampton Inn almost every time we need a hotel. For the first time, when I walked into one today prior to check in to use the restroom, I was told no because I wasn't a guest. Every human being on the planet has to use restroom facilities. Perhaps if I had humiliated myself and explained why I medically needed to use the lobby restroom, I might have been able to receive some compassion for the urgency of the situation. Just so over companies and business owners that profit from regular people making policies that strip us of our humanity and treat us like dogs. Do better, please.
Edit to respond: The people at the truck stop, I am sure, would have been gracious. However, our first stop was going to be at the hotel since we were planning on staying there. No one would have seen my name because, believe it or not, in 2024, not every family member checking in has the same last name, and I did not take my spouse's. That said, we didn't have a reservation yet. Like many families on a road trip, and people with chronic health issues we didn't know when we would be ready for a stop. So, that said, you can hide your choices behind insurance liabilities if that is what you want to do but in my lifetime I have stayed in a zillion hotels and this was the first time I have ever been told I wasn't welcome to use the restroom in the lobby. For the record, I wasn't asked if I was a guest. You were right, though. We had every right to go elsewhere, and we did. Also, if you are having security issues, perhaps hire a guard to help rather than invoke abelist policies. Or don't pay for marketing campaigns that push google review requets when people of certain income streams drive away from your location. Or do nothing if you don't care. I am sure losing our business isn't going to cause any of you to lose any sleep.

Nice and quiet even though it's right off the expressway, it's tucked back off the road so you don't get the traffic noise.
