This company is at best an extortionist enterprise and at worst indescribable assuming you believe in Hell. If you are in an accident on the gurney and they say "We're going to call Magill's for towing...." You need to rise up like the Undertaker and either (1) push the vehicle to safety or (2) push the vehicle off a Cliff. Either way you'll save money, time, and the overall experience of dealing with this detriment to society. I cannot warn you enough, if you are fiscally strapped or unsure of your insurance stay away.

There should be laws to protect the public from predators like this towing company. Unbelievable what they charge. A 4 mile tow to there yard where the car sat for an hour b4 AAA picked it up was $900. Just unreasonable

these assholes charged me $1300 to tow my motorcycle from an "accident scene" on the parkway in Pennhills to pitcairnthey price gouge people because they have the police contracts to tow wrecked vehicles and think that it's acceptable to take advantage of people when times are complicated. scum

Ran over a blown tire, and broke my airlines, (I dont have any tools on this truck, unfortunately) got on the shoulder but my trailer was 1 feet into the highway, police came over in 5 minutes, they called magills to move the truck, I only needed to cancell one chamber to move it, as I said not having tools is my mistake, but you would've guess that at least this people has some quick fitting to fix the hose and put em back to the chamber, well of course they dont, so canceling the chamber was $900, and im still waiting on another roadside to get fix them hoses... wow, this company is located 15 minutes away from where i am, they did a 5 min temporary job and charge my company $900 .What a rip-off. What a shame. Its disgusting the lack of business ethics people have nowadays.

Complete rip off. Charged $1750 for less than 10min job and 10min of driving. The two truck driver explained, that the rate is $1250/hr, so for 1.25 hrs it’s comes to $1750. But he couldn’t explain, where the 1.25 hrs came from, as the driving + job + driving back would amount under 30mins. Then he said it’s emergency service charge. While my coworker was on the phone with the driver listening this excuses, I called the office, who literally couldn’t explain any charge and stated, that they have to confirm with the driver and call back ( they never did).So the conclusion: they don’t have any rates listed, they don’t have anything to go buy and charge you whatever they feel like charging or by judging you by you vehicle/ looks/ etc. No other explanation to why it was so much and nobody could explain their math of how it came up to the amount.Stay away!

Company driver got the trailer stuck on the turn, police came and called Magills Towing. The job took under 10mins and the charge was $1750.The towing is located 4 miles away from a place where wrecker was dispatched to.We had similar situation in Oregon, where due to road slide the trailer got stuck, the wrecker traveled 20 mins each way and did the same job and the charge was $420.Absolutely horrific business ethics, making money off of people in need.

Absolutely overcharged for wrecker services ($700), then when they didn't get a paid quick enough for their services, they threatened me to charge $50 for every 15 minutes. It was afterhours and took a little bit longer for processing, but a little bit of patience goes a long way. I use wrecker services often but have never paid more than $200, and that was in Miami of all places. They told me originally that the service would be $350, then doubled the rate because they needed a second driver to get this unit moved. I have never seen nor dealt with this before.Service: Special vehicle towing

This business is such a rip off. State police filled out a report for fender damage and flat tire. This company towed the car and now they won’t release it unless $1438.12 is paid!!!!! For a flat tire?!?! Trying to reason with them is pointless. The office said there was a tow charge, hook charge, hazmat charge and other fees. Again for a flat tire?!? Of course you would add charges when you see a teenage girl driving. I would never ever call them or deal with these people. If I could give negative stars I would.!!!!!!!

Caught a flat after moving to the area -- knew no one and no places. Magill's was the first "garage" I saw. They repaired the flat and were friendly.Over the years I've come to know the staff and can rely on them for consistent troubleshooting and repairs. Their pricing is not bargain-basement, nor is it excessive. Quality work, always willing to make things right when things go off-book, and generally great people!Aside: Of course, folks that got towed for doing things they shouldn't be doing leave negative reviews. This is a positive review from a customer of 10 years. They have earned my business and respect in an industry where both are hard to come by.

Car was towed into their lot with no notification to me. I found out where my vehicle was parked and then who towed it more than 45 days. $75 a day pmyz towing and taxes. Legalized theft but seemed to be the norm for the business. Over $4000 bill for a car that i paid $4600 when i bought it. My case is a stolen and then abandon so I had no clue where the vehicle was sitting only an excuse of the city notifies the owners and they're behind notifications for months

I can't tell you how great these folks are! They were super quick and friendly on the phone and went above and beyond to help me retrieve my keys from a sewer drain. They were the only people in all of Monroeville willing to help me my only regret is that I didn't call them first thing. I highly recommend their services.Service: Car lockouts

Stopped by to get a replacement inspection sticker. I was told it would take an hour and he doesn'thave time. I called a different shop and was told 10-15 minutes. My actual inspection only took 30 minutes! So one of two things are true. This guy is either incompetent or a liar. Would have been better to say he won't make money with the replacement, so he'd rather not. Very unprofessional.
