I work literally across this street and love that this 7/11 is so convenient. Shannon has always been a pleasure to deal with, he’s a total gem. They hired a new heavy set black lady to work evenings and she is literally the WORST! Every time I come in, she is completely disgustingly rude and it’s like she wants to fight with people. Gives you the rudest looks, and is just overall a VERY unpleasant person. Again, I’ve been coming here for years and I’ve always got along well with the employees since they all know who I am and I’m in there almost daily. I will absolutely not come in anymore at night… such a shame but if I have to drive to another convenient store farther away just to not deal with her, I absolutely will.

Go in the afternoon only and avoid the owner.
This 711 is owned by a grumpy old guy named Steve. I went in around 610am right after opening. There was a product behind the counter that had a giant green advertisement below it ($14 off a purchase of 2 boxes).
He told me that it shouldn’t be there, and he can’t honor the advertisement. He pulled the advertisement up within 2 inches of his face , then showed me the really small font. The advertisement was finished weeks ago. He also mentioned “he doesn’t even make $14 on that”.
And Fair enough, right? stats show solo franchise owners are barely profitable and essentially take home minimum wage and rarely reach their expected returns on investment. Ironically, he would make more money via LTV of returning customers if only he would hire someone to take his time at the counter. He should never be client facing. Like ever.
It seems they don’t have much quality assurance going on there. Out of curiosity I googled the rules of sale, and I mentioned to Steve that there are ordinances that protect customers against deceptive advertising (honored sticker price etc) and the owner decided to turn an otherwise friendly interaction into a downright bad one.
He started essentially calling me poor and saying things like “obviously you really need that $14” “should we just void everything” “just so you know there’s a *10 cent* charge for a bag but I’m not going to make you pay all that”
I believe most would agree it’s not about saving $14. I’m young, rich, and handsome (and humble). The core issue extends to the principles and rules that protect and allow America to be a great country.
Anywho, I’d give this 7/11 establishment a solid 2/5. Go in the afternoon ONLY for the nice cashiers. Try the bone in wings!

The only 7-11 in town that not only looks clean has decent selection and workers. Once again only bad thing is the homeless or beggers constantly asking for money. ( Tried give water hotdays didn't go as planned)

This 7-Eleven convenience store is currently open from the morning to evening. It is not open 24 hours. I shop here off and on, mostly for snack foods, beverages, and lottery tickets. This store also sells some products for health, cleaning, pets, etc. I think that the prices are OK. The cashiers have always properly rung up my purchases.

7-Eleven is a convenience-store chain that has tens of thousands of locations across many countries. Unlike many other locations of 7-Eleven, this particular 7-Eleven in the DoubleTree hotel in Pittsburgh is *NOT* open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. For over a decade, my husband and I have shopped off and on inside this 7-Eleven store. During our most recent visits, we saw products such as snack foods, frozen and refrigerated foods, refrigerated beverages, slushies and coffees, over-the-counter medications, feminine hygiene products, cleaning products, pet supplies, bags of ice, lottery tickets, etcetera. Prices were OK. My husband and I bought beverages such as orange juice, MTN Dew, Vitamin Water, V-8, Perrier, and iced tea, and we bought snacks such as peanuts and pretzels. The cashier promptly and accurately rang up our purchases, and he spoke nicely to us. We also used a lottery machine to purchase a lottery ticket, and the machine functioned properly.
