Banfield in Pittsburgh PA has great staff and vets! Always kind and compassionate. My doggie gets all his care here with their wellness plan. Highly recommend them!

The entire staff is terrific. We have been taking our dogs and cats there for 12 years. The vets take the time to explain what is going on. Our furry children are comfortable there. The parking is great for getting big dogs and cat carriers in and out of the the car.

Been with them for 2 years. Can't really beat the plan and prices coupled with being able to see the vet guaranteed no stress. Only stuff I have to pay for is anything out of the ordinary. I would never have been able to afford getting my dog fixed without this.Staff were super kind and friendly, vets and assistant were very competent. This location is so much better than the one I used to go to in Orchard Park, NY.

Competent doctors and technicians. Listen well and act to heal the dog. Front room staff are pleasant and efficient. The Vet prices are fair and reasonable. Tey have a Foundation to contribute money for the dos and cats. Nice touch!

I have been a customer for over 10 years. I have had four different pets seen by them and the care is always the best. I like their wellness plans for older pets with chronic illnesses. I can take them anytime I have a concern and the visit is included. I also like that they stay open later and have weekend hours.

For the second time in the not even 6 months I've been with Banfield they have rescheduled my appointment by calling me to "confirm" an appointment on the wrong day. When pressed about this they admit that your appointment was for a different day, but that the appointment had been changed because of unforeseen circumstances. I do not understand why they make appointments for Saturdays then insist that is an impossible day for them to take appointments on the back end. In addition I do not understand why they expect people to take time off to bring in their pet by being open only during regular business hours. I may have to end my membership with them now without receiving the dental care I paid for because they refuse to see my dog in a timely manner. I would be a lot more understanding if they weren't gaslighting me about what's going on, but they try to sneak in the change by "confirming" an incorrect date. This is extremely deceitful and uncool. I will be advising my pet owning friends to avoid this business.Edit: In addition to this they did not inform me that when you get a pet plan you are engaged to pay for an ENTIRE YEAR with zero way out. Despite no longer wanting their services they are forcing me to pay out the remainder of the contract, and even getting someone to speak with me about the issue has the air of an amazon or facebook E-dodge of the issue. Amazingly bad.Edit2: Banfield now claims that for the honor of recieving 6 Simparica and a single checkup for my dog that I have used EIGHT HUNDRED AND EIGHTY FOUR DOLLARS worth of services and therefore need to keep paying for 6 more months just to cover that. Let me repeat that. 884 dollars for a single checkup and a half dozen doggy pills. Think about this before you let them rope you in to a plan. Honestly this is the scammiest corporation I have come across in years.

The veterinarian dug at my cat's teeth under his gums. I asked her to stop and she did but the next day his gums were inflamed. I had to take him to a different vet clinic and was told his gums on the top right looked injured with scratches and infected. I won't ever take a cat there again. The place also smelled like pet urine. They also overbooked. So, we waited almost an hour after the appointment time.

Gave the vet my cat's empty prescription bottle so they could see what he was taking. They took it in the back and threw it out and billed me $30 for "biohazard waste disposal". F them.

Compassionate staff! I have 7 cats and 2 dogs and there’s no one I would trust more with my kids. The wellness plan gives me a piece of mind knowing that I’m giving my pets the best care!

This visit was my first time here, my wife takes her cat regularly. They were nice and efficient. It was a quick visit. Thank you.

The only reason I’m not giving it a one star is because the previous times I’ve been treated well. Today I scheduled my kitten’s appointment at 10:30 am so I could have time for my job interview at 2:00 pm and my oil change appointment at 4:30 pm. He was scheduled to get two vaccinations and a nail trim. The tech said it’d be an hour to a couple hours. My cat was there 5 hours. I picked him up close to 3:45 pm, no one had called, no updates, nothing. I had to go to the vet otherwise I’d be late to my other appointment on the other side of the city and would not be able to pick up my cat. He was there FIVE hours for a simple procedure. So unprofessional. When I got there the Administrative Assistant said “I’ll check him out” as if he had been ready for hours. He’s an ALMOST 4 month old kitten and to have him confined to his cage for FIVE hours is inhumane.Update: changed it to one star because o was given another medicine on top of the tick preventative medicine I had agreed to and the vet never even explained how to use it or why he needs it. I would cancel my plan with them if I could but I signed the year plan

I have been to most of the Banfields in the pittsburgh area. This one has been the best with my 120lb dog. He is huge and other facilities seem to be afraid/annoyed of his size. They are accommodating with appointment times and they genuinely care about my pup.
