I live in the North Hills but I drive to Crafton. I started going here this year because they were about to get a dog we had adopted neutered before every other place we called. After going through that process and even getting a another dog since, I have made Banfield Crafton my primary Vet. I love the staff up front, the vet techs, and the Vet. Melanie, up front is amazing, in addition to the rest of the staff. I will continue to drive to crafton for my dogs

Great place just the billing is not fair. This location was really friendly to my fur baby. The staff is awesome!

I have been coming to Banfield for years. I recently switched my dogs flea/ tick/ heart worm preventative chewable to monthly billing from a single bill. It's supposed to be cheaper this way. When I did this they never gave me the medicine as I thought I needed to wait with the monthly billing. Fast forward a month, I never heard from them, they claim I was given the medicine. It was marked so, but I never received it. This is not the first time one of the employees has failed to do their job or "forgotten" something for me/ my dog. Avoid Banfield, it is a money pit with careless staff.

Needed vet care asap because my dog was having serious bowel issues. They were the only location that could take her in on such short notice. Usually with same day appointments, you're waiting for a very long time. We were in and out in less than 2 hours. The staff kept me up to date on estimated costs throughout our time there so that there were no surprises. The staff was very knowledgeable about my pup's problem and you could tell that they truly cared for and loved every animal that came in through the door.

Banfield won't trim dog nails unless you pay an office visit $65, and another $20 for nails. They are focused on getting clients to pay a monthly fee for services, which start out around $38. It's just too much! It took me two visits and $400 to have the doctor actually "look" into my dogs flea problem. It should have been discovered on the first visit. Unhappy

Very reliable and timely service you can tell they care about your pups although like any vet it can get expensive. I highly recommend their insurance.

This place is terrible, poor customer service, and the staff are rude. They don’t inform you about anything and want to sell you/ upgrade your plan. They try to scare and provide false information about your pet and only give a damn about making money. This place is money hunger and they need to learn about customer service. At first I trusted Banfield with my pet and loved this place, but over time I learned not only did they lied about my pet health and weight, but they don’t tell the customer anything!! Then all they say is “Well you signed the agreement.” It’s a poor place to even take your pet and shot out to Tara who is nasty and rude. She needs to learn about customer service and how dare you hang up the phone on a customer who was never informed about a plan being upgraded. This place doesn’t care about your pet! All they care about is billing you, so don’t invest your money at this place.

I have been bringing my senior dog here for a few years, and the service has always been excellent. She now requires additional care that involves weekly visits, and the staff could not be any kinder or more helpful. She has gone from a dog who feared our former vet, to one that happily trots in to see her friends. I cannot thank the staff enough for how well they’ve treated us!

Couldn’t ask for a better vet. Spent my first three years at the Robinson location, switched, and found my way back! What I do want to recognize is the crafton location! The girls up front are phenomenal and so kind! I know our animals always get the best care!Banfield is also an affordable option, with a wide variety of plans. I highly recommend!

Dr. Hurt has cared for my dog for years and she has left the practice. The office won't refill a life saving medication that we use for palliative care for my old man dog. It's reglan, not a controlled drug of any kind. It just keeps him from bloating and exploding when he eats if not given regularly. I tried to get my usual refill from Chewy and it was declined by the office. When I called they told me I have to bring him in for a $65 visit. It's not a sickness a vet can look at. Throw me a bone here guys, I've spent a lot of money here. The girl that answered the phone didn't care when I told her I was going to switch vets. So I did.

If I could leave a negative I would. They told me and my wife multiple times they were open until 6pm on sat. With a long waitlist they called us during a funeral and we had to leave because they changed their hours without notice to 3pm. We were told that morning hours are until 6pm. This paired with in the past changing dogs apt scheduled 6 months prior to a different day from a sat to a Wednesday mid day. They lie and when you call them out and ask for an explanation they lie. Shady place. Especially because they tie you into a wellness plan and will not let you leave and cancel or move locations.

They'll order test after test but it's pretty much impossible to talk to a vet about why. Their patient communication on test results, differential diagnoses, and treatment plan is abysmal. At the end of the day, they have hospital in their name and are held to a similar standard of care as a hospital. Part of the job is being able to communicate and they get a 0/10 in that department. If they can't communicate why they're doing a test or what previous tests could signify, it makes you wonder if they really know what they're doing at all.
