Budget truck rental on Liberty Ave. In Pitssburgh, PA has to be the worst moving experience. 1. Woke up to a flat tire the morning of the move, in fairness we were told about the tire, HOWEVER, they claimed it was fixed and were ready to go. 2. The inside of the cab is carrying heat from the engine, so it's incredibly hot in the cab of the truck, and guess what, the AC doesn't work. Uh oh can't charge my phone on an 11 jour trip, because non of the outlets work. 3. I can't tell if it's a wheel bearing or the brakes, either way everything we break the truck starts to rattle. What we didn't do was pay all that money for the most uncomfortable ride, and what could have been a deadly ride. Budget truck get tour **ish together. And thank you

Literally called right now, on 3/11/24 at 3:43 PM, and customer service I dont carry 26ft trucks at this location and literally just hung up. I didnt even get a chance to ask what locations do. A manager really needs to clean this place up.

Budget cancelled my truck rental the day of because they said they did not have a truck available. I had made this reservation a month in advance and had hired movers and was on a tight schedule for my move. Budget offered no remedies to fix this other than to delay my reservation by several days or cancel. Unacceptable service. Do not rent from them. I ended up needing to reserve a truck through a different service that charged twice as much.

The first place canceled my truck reservation 2 hours before I had to move so I reserved with this location. Not only did the man have a nasty attitude but they told me the credit card I had couldn’t be taken because it was Apple Pay… a couple days go by and they charged my card $75 for a no show when I clearly showed up, so how can you not take my credit card but can still charge it? They also don’t take a debit card: all things that were not made clear to me. They were the most stressful part of my moving day and I do not recommend renting from them. And I hope you get new employees with better attitudes.

Leave it to Budget to call 3 hours before your move and tell you that they don't have the truck that you reserved over a week ago!! A plus!!

(Wasn't given the option to rate any lower than one star......but they don't even deserve a one-star rating.) I reserved a box truck three weeks before my moving date. Received several emails confirming my reservation right up until the day before scheduled pickup. Arrived at the W. Liberty Avenue location to find the store locked and dark. Owner finally arrived and said he had no truck for me. Was told to call Customer Service. Wasted a half hour on the phone with CS who told me the confirmation number in my email from Budget was not valid and they had no record of my name or email address (mind you, I had received several emails from Budget). CS rep said he could do nothing to help me find a truck and my only option was to file a complaint (which he couldn't do anyway because he couldn't find my reservation). As I had to be out of my apartment that day, I was forced to call all over Pittsburgh to find an available truck. Fortunately, UHaul had one box truck left and provided excellent service to help me at the last minute. Final frustration was a couple days later when I see a charge for $75 from Budget on my credit card for not picking up my reserved truck! Cannot comprehend how a business can be run this way. They attract you with slightly lower rates and then have no vehicle to give you. Don't waste your time. Book with any other truck rental company.

Reservation for truck useless. Customer service don't understand English and blow BS smoke at you. Tell you they'll contact you to find a truck after confirmed Reservation has no truck. Rented through U-Haul at high cost because of last minute reservation, but at least everything worked

Worst experience ever. I reserved my truck a month in advance. Budget called the day before I was scheduled to pick up the truck and told me they didn’t have a truck available. Instead of calling the numerous other budget rental locations around Pittsburgh to find me a new truck, they gave me a customer service number to call. I called the customer service number multiple times and spoke with numerous reps, who assured me my case was escalated to management and I would receive a call within the hour. I never received a call or any type of communication from anyone at Budget. I had to scramble to find a different company to rent a truck from hours before I was supposed to move. I would never consider doing business with any entity of Budget again.

Terrible experience and customer service. Leaving the review for this location, listed as the drop-off for the truck we rented, as well as for the York PA (where we were supposed to pick up the truck) and the Hanover PA location (where we actually picked up the truck). The truck I rented was not at the location it was supposed to be and we had to drive 45 minutes out of our way to get a truck. Then, when we tried to return the truck the location we were sent to did not accept after hours returns, even though your customer service said that they did. So we had to go to an additional location. Then, you charged me for going over the mileage (even though the truck we rented originally was unlimited mileage) and refused to refund my money or reimburse me for the extra gas I had to use to go to all the wrong locations, claiming that you had to speak to my husband even though the credit card is in my name and I made the reservation. How are you going to fix this?

I decided to ignore the other one star reviews for this Budget location, and booked a reservation here. Surprise, surprise, they did not have a truck for me on the day of the reservation. They gave me a number to call customer service, who told me an inventory manager would get back to me within fifteen minutes. I never received that call. Don't be like me, go with a different company.

After paying $500 for a one way rental to Pittsburgh, the "supervisor" at this location charged my account an additional $585 two days after the truck was dropped off. He did this without my knowledge or permission. I am disputing through my bank and Avis-Budget but once they take your money they rarely give it back. This supervisor is a thief! Stay away from 4052 Liberty Ave location.

If I could give this company negative stars I would. They reserved a truck for me a week in advance and on the day of the pickup with no notice they said there was nothing available for at least another week. They told me they “wouldn't debate this†with me. NEVER USE BUDGET RENTAL THEY SUCK !!!
