I had a storage unit here for 12 months. My rent doubled twice.
I had a storage unit to store my car and stuff in. Online it says $120/mo but with insurance end up being $150/mo. Paid that until my 3 month mark hit. Price went up to $330/mo. The price you see on their website is only good for the first three months.
I called in and tried to be polite. Questioned it and was told prices go up and down and it's like the real estate market. That they sent me a notice (they didn't) and asked if I read the fine print in the contract saying that the prices will change. They weren't rude or anything and I don't think I was either. But the guy offered to call corporate and see if they can reduced my price. He did that and my new rate was $220/mo which I paid for the next 9 months.
On the 12th month, I got billed $440/mo. No notice again. This time I didn't call. I just paid for a $400 flight across the country to get back home and removed everything out of my storage unit. When I ask about moving out, the guy at the counter asked me why I was leaving and offered to call corporate to get my rate reduce. They called and offered me $330/mo. I laughed because their website was still offering $120/mo. When I mention the website rate, they were like "yeah we wouldn't be able to reduced it to that price." I ultimately declined and moved my things into a nearby storage paying $66/mo.
I travel alot and have several storage units across the country. One for 5 months now and still no rate change. I avoid Extra Sapce Storage now. Don't get me wrong, the people working there were kind and helpful but there isn't much they can do from keeping me getting screwed over. I posted my experience on social media and I had friends reaching out telling me they had the same experience at this location.
So overall, if you don't mind your rent doubling, go for it. But I recommend not staying beyond 3 months. If you rent the large outdoor units, you should be ok with tons of spiders.

This place really took care of us while we needed storage. Jeff Orr, the Assistant Store Manager, in particularly was absolutely great! I rented my unit on line - on a Sunday - on Labor Day weekend. I get all the information filled out and receive my confirmation of lease and get unit # and access code. Go to the facility …entry denied. Call the 24hr # and they give temporary code … entry denied. They call assistant store manager Jeff Orr and he arrives within 30 mins. Was super friendly and got us straightened out and into the building and he stayed to make sure we had no further issues. WONDERFUL customer service ????⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Have been a customer for many years and finally moving out… only to store it at another ExtraSpace in another state. Always great service by the team at ExtraSpace! Safe and clean location as well!

They were doubling the price of rent because they said they can. $200 unit randomly went to $400 for no reason which wasn't part of the contract. New staff was not very helpful.
