I purchased a vehicle from TJ Hess at this dealership about 8 months ago. The sales team and management were absolutely wonderful while I was in the store and made the process very smooth. I was not notified of any egregious rusting or damage to the vehicle...however, I've now been told during an inspection that the entire rear subframe is rotted and rusted to the point of irreparability. There is no way the bulk of this damage occurred over the 8 months I've had the vehicle. It is so bad that the shop is refusing to work on it. I've contacted SoSH and am awaiting their response. I can only speak highly of my interactions with the team at SoSH, but please make sure you do a thorough pre-purchase check of any vehicle you think about buying from them.

JB is a breath of fresh air. Wow, he really goes the extra mile. Knowledgeable, quick, hospitable, kind, personable, the list goes on. I don’t have a single bad thing to say. We had a great experience at Subaru of South Hills. We stepped onto the lot knowing what we were after. Turns out it had just sold! JB guided us to another option that was actually nicer with a better warranty and less money. It was close to closing time, so he offered us to test drive it for the evening and come back the next day to sign. Tyler was a breeze with the paperwork! We were so pleased with our trade in experience and the Ascent, we came back a week later for a Crosstrek! We were in and out by noon on a Saturday.I highly recommend Subaru of South Hills and their EXCEPTIONAL sales team. Thank you, JB, Tyler, Jay, and Mozzie!

If you are looking for a used car, they seem tohave cars that are in reasonable condition. Ipurchased a 2014 Nissan Altima that had agood CARFAX history, was a lease vehicle, andwas very clean and appeared to be in goodworking order. The problem I ran into concerneda third party Warranty. I really did not want thepolicy, but I have a physical issue which causespain, and I was starting to hurt, but after aboutan hour of hearing about the service warranty, Ifinally gave in when they told me I could cancelit the next day if I wanted. I just wanted to gohome before I started feeling worse, so I took it.They offered to assist in cancelling the warranty, but then did nothing, would not return emails, orphone calls and I finally searched online to findthe contact to get the warranty cancelled. Also Ihad a tag to transfer to the Nissan and let themknow this. I was told paperwork would be sent tome for doing that. It wasn't, instead a new tagshowed up in the mail. The dealership gets feesfor tag and title work, so that was why they did it.Also, the warranty would most likely involve acommission for selling, which is why they wantyou to take it. I searched reviews for the warrantycompany, and am glad I chose to cancel it. Thatis $3000 better spent on home and family.Overall, I did get a decent car, but be warned, anyoffers to help will evaporate the moment you driveaway in your new car. That is what happened withme. I had to dig through paper work and go onlinein order to find out who the auto loan was with, andhow to pay my loan. I am pleased with my car, thedealership, not so much.

Terrible car sold to me. Only around a year into it and already 5 times in shop getting repaired. Repair shop trying to make false claims about an accident which never happened to get out of paying to fix car under extended warranty purchase. I am on SSI and my daughter is disabled but they don't care. I think they should take the POS back and give me something better. They reached out only to tell me that it will cost around $600 for a battery. The manager didn't do anything but transfer me to service where the problem is.

I always feel confident, after a service call, that my car will run well. Although my recent visit was for the yearly inspection, I had additional service requests that were handled. I always appreciate the professional interaction with the service associates.

Bought a vehicle around a year ago from these guys and it has been back for repairs 5 times. Even with insurance, they still try and charge you for things and with labor, you can hit $1000 fast. They don't care about anyone except those who can afford the nice cars. If you are disabled or low income, you will get charged and treated terrible. I am being charged nearly $600 just for a battery to be installed. They are crooks who prey on people and take advantage of those who can't afford the nicer cars.

I bought a 2017 Kia Sorento here. Reasons for the 1 star review: 1) found the car at a good price on car gurus. We get there and the price is significantly more. They did give me the price listed after I pulled out the printout. 2) additional fees for paperwork added on. They eventually knocked the about $500 off when we were ready to walk away over it. 3) hugely undervalued our trade in. They came to a more reasonable price (still not great but OK) when we told them we would sell it ourselves and to take it off of the deal. 4) did a test drive and the car was making a weird screeching noise on turns. The salesman said they would fix whatever was wrong. Took it back and the shop said there was nothing wrong with it. We took the car and a few months later, when we took it in for inspection they stated that the brakes were very bad and that might be what was causing the noise we continued to hear. I did not get them to fix anything since the total repair would have been about $2,500 and I didn't trust them. Took it to my mechanic who found that one of the wheel bearings was bad. Pretty sure it was bad when we bought the car, when we took it back to get fixed, and when it was inspected. Not only did they not fix the noise when we took it back, we were driving a car that was not safe after being assured there was no problem. BTW, my mechanic fixed everything and inspected it for $800. Reasons 1-3 would not have gotten them a 1 star review - I think it's shitty but just part of the game and I could always walk away. Reason 4 could have caused serious issues, involved someone flat out lying, and is the reason they get 1 star.

Excellent customer service (Ted is pretty darned awesome)! No hidden fees or surprise issues. Parts needed were ordered and a 2nd appointment was easily scheduled at my convenience. Car was serviced (and even washed!) in a timely manner. As I pulled away, I realized they’d even addressed the check tire light issue, which I had completely forgotten to mention. Even though this dealership is quite a bit out of my way, it will be the one I return to from here on out! 5 stars! ?

This was an awful experience! I do not recommend this dealership and everyone should avoid. They do not work with the customer in giving any accommodations. They have cars on the lot with tires that would barley pass inspection and will not put new tires on. They have rims on vehicles that are chewed up and will not fix them. They have cars with 5 yr old batteries and will not replace them since they are the original battery. They will not even put a battery in the remote that unlocks/locks the door!!!! Please buy your car elsewhere!!!! This dealership is awful when it come to customer service!!! I will NEVER go back!!!!!!

I was treated terribly when I went to test drive a car. I am disabled and took my legal service dog with me. I asked to test drive a car and the sales man wouldn't let me in the car with my dog, which is illegal. He claimed it would be bad for people with allergies. Despite dog owners tracking hair all over the place anyway. Legally you have to treat disabled people the same as everyone else. Just like people with allergies, which I also have. That was it for me I left immediately and will never buy from that dealership.

The salesman, TJ, was nice, but this car has unfortunately been nothing but issues. not even a week after I purchased the vehicle, the transmission needed replaced. The manager replaced it with a used transmission for free (thankfully), and at the time I had asked about a leak I had asked about getting fixed while it was in for the transmission, and I was told by Ruth (or a similar name) that it was just due to the weather and it should stop leaking once the rain and humidity was gone. It has not resolved and i now have a puddle in my passenger seat from the leak. At the time the transmission was replaced, Ruth had also mentioned that the clutch looked to be on its last leg and needed replaced. and I had bought the car not even a week before. within a week of purchase, I had noticed the transmission, clutch, and A/C leaking. It’s very frustrating because I spent money on this car only for it to have nothing but problems. It’s very frustrating. I am grateful that the transmission was replaced, but it’s still frustrating and irritating that I’m still dealing with an issue that I brought up and was told would be resolved with the weather. It’s very annoying having to go dry my car out with shop vacs every other day so the water doesn’t rust the floor and chasis of the car and cause more problems than it already has. As wonderful as TJ was, I will most likely not be back to purchase a car from this location, as I don’t want to buy another car and spend more money on a car that hasn’t been checked before being sold. I don’t want to spend more money here for a car that is going to have more problems that cost more than the car is worth.

Everyone was very nice and the process was very smooth. Matt is the best salesman I have ever worked with. He was very friendly and listened to our needs and concerns. The over all car buying experience was great with Subaru of South Hills.

Both my dad and I have purchased vehicles from Matt within the last year. I tell everyone this is the best dealership around to work with. They always go above and beyond to make sure numbers work for you and that you're comfortable with everything. Currently persuading my sister to go get her car here as well.

Had an appointment with service today which initially I was told would take an hour. After getting there I was told it could be 2 hours so I asked for a loaner. I was told there weren’t any available. When I purchased my vehicle I also bought the extended warranty for 8 years and was told by Jay in financing if there were no loaners a vehicle on the lot would be provided with dealer plates for my use. Spoke to another man in financing since Jay was busy and he told me to wait in the showroom while he went to speak to someone. Well no one ever came to speak to me nor did I get a vehicle. Thankfully it only took a little over an hour. I truly was not happy about this whole situation since I don’t know if what I was told is true or not about getting a loaner. Was I told this just so they can make a sale? It’s only been a little over a month since the car was purchased and this isn’t the first problem with this dealership!

I worked with Matt for over a month on finding the right car for me. He was patient and willing to help guide me through my first new car buying experience. I couldn't have asked for a nicer guy to work with. Jay, the finance guy, was fairly straight forward with me. He sure talked a lot, but was pleasant throughout. Overall, they definitely earned this 5-star review. As stressful as buying a new car can be, I almost wish the process wasn't over. Thanks again guys!
