I was looking for a new bank. After going thru hell with the pnc. I walked into the oliver branch and was greeted right away by Melanie. She was extremely helpful and has impeccable customer service skills. She explained what account she thinks I needed and even help me navigate some other issues. Melanie is a great asset to Dollar Bank. Thanks for excellent customer service.

I had a account that was closed due to inactivity. Not sent to collections or anything. I simply didn’t use it. The irs had that info and we’re going to send my stimulus payments to the closed account. I stopped by this branch and asked if i could please pay the fee to reopen the account so i can receive this money that i am in desperate need of. The lady tells me that i cannot and there is nothing she can do to help me. I was told on the phone by another person that i can reopen the account with a fee which i was willing to pay. The amount of stress this is causing is insane. Why does each person say something different?

Seriously seems like you are striving to be the worst bank ever. Can't use the debit card, app doesn't work(has never worked), employees don't respond, been lied to at multiple branches, had my debit card hacked and my account emptied, disgusting attitude by multiple employees, put holds on checks for over a week longer than any other bank. You guys are the absolute worst bank in the history of banking. What a clown show

Someone stole my dollar bank debit card. They charged the card and that's how we caught it. I cancelled the card as soon as we noticed the charges. Unfortunatly because of those charges it caused my account to overdraw due to payments I had made prior to this. Dollar bank is charging over draft fees and refusing to credit them even though there is an active fraud report on my account. They do not care and are not customer friendly

If I could give a lower rating I would. This bank is so fee driven that they don't care about their on account holders they don't care about building regulation-ships all transactional. They reported me to the credit bureau for a late payment. They never emailed me or called me about my payment not being processed. They instead relied on snail mail, my god this is the 21 st century and this is How they do business. Unbelievable. Depositors you have been warned.

Why I'd give this branch less than one star if I could - On Monday, May 4th, I deposited a check from my ex for child support. The usual hold was placed for ONE day and after that it appeared that everything went through so I scheduled all of my bills, as I usually do at the beginning of the month, paying them online. Today, even though I am signed up for alerts from DB I went to buy lunch and my card was declined (I received my notification later while I was sitting in DB). I logged onto DB only to find that now the entire check I deposited was on hold. I called my ex who explained that he had switched credit unions and there was a mistake on their part - that the funds were there and the check should go through if tried again. After years of being a loyal customer, including purchasing my mortgage through them, I find out that they only tried to deposit the check ONCE, instead of the customary three tries, before they decided to start charging me NSF fees. Before they even tried to deposit the check again, I was charged SIX separate NSF fees and most of the scheduled payments I had made to my creditors and other bills were returned. This means that I will now be charged late fees and/or return fees from each of them as well. $200 so far I am being charged in NSF fees and I know that I have at least another $400 in outstanding bills that will be coming through in the next day. So, I visited the bank and spoke with the nice gentleman in the video. As you can see, he was unhelpful, basically telling me that it is not DB's fault and therefore they are not going to refund the fees. To make matters MUCH worse, I am now almost $500 in the hole, and the lovely Sarah Bichler (appropriate last name), store manager, told me that they MAY refund the fees, but they won't know until the check clears which is scheduled to be on hold for another TEN days!!! WTF. I asked her if I would definitely be refunded when the check goes through because this is not my fault either, and she said she couldn't guarantee it, I'll have to spend another lunch hour and come into the branch to discuss it again after the check actually clears. In the meantime, I'm s*** out of luck. Way to go DB on your stellar customer service practices.

Making a deposit, for my mom. What a great bank. The tellers are cheerful and I love the ornate pictures that are hung along the walls. Dollar Banks are always decorated so very regal.
