Emerald View Park is a 257-acre space that combines three historic parks and offers stunning views of Pittsburgh's skyline. It is a popular destination for those looking to enjoy nature without leaving the city. Visitors can explore pleasant trails that meander through wooded hillsides, providing opportunities for serene experiences and beautiful photos, especially during sunset. The park features a playground for children and is dog-friendly, making it suitable for families and pet owners. However, some trails can be challenging with ups and downs, and there are areas that need maintenance due to mud and overgrowth. While the park offers a quiet escape, it is located near residential streets and a highway, and some areas may have litter and broken glass. Overall, Emerald View Park is a great spot for a quick nature getaway, offering a mix of scenic views and outdoor activities in a city setting.
Watched 4th fireworks here while a band played. So happy to have this place that wasn’t on my radar before, but now won’t be forgotten! Lots of green space and beyond words scenery to absolutely enjoy! Pittsburgh 412 + LOVE <3

First time visit today to this pleasant little park. Porta potties by the stage near the entrance. A pleasant trail leading downward along the hillside, lined with lots of berries. Not particularly long, but wooded all around with some river views and very private. Also public areas with hills and a playground.
