I would give them a 0 if possible. I dropped a necklace off there to be repaired and they said it would be around 2 weeks. It has been well over a month and I call them today and they said that there are multiple people in front of me. I get it, it's only a $20 repair but don't continuously keep putting my property behind others because it's not a big fix

Have dealt with Eskens for the past 12 years, he is a one man show and can't keep up with the demand of repairs. You can tell he is burned out from the public. Dropped a repair off over a month ago , called to get a ETA on the repair, lady said it's still in the back of the pile of repairs. Just picked it up and took it somewhere else that is able to give a ETA . Unfortunately I will not be going back here, not personable anymore.

Esken jewelers did a outstanding repair on my engagement ring. Professional service reasonably priced. Wouldn't go to anyone else...he's the best!

I dropped off a rind to resized mid February. I asked about how long it would take. They said a month. I called in March, they said not ready yet. I called and left messages in April, no answer no call back. I walked in yesterday 2 months later and they hadn't started it yet. So I asked for my jewelry to take somewhere else. They were cordial. However, there was no apology or anything. They've kept my ring for 2 months. You'd think if they were running behind they would call their customers or even offer an apology for taking so long when I was there in person. Reviews seem to say they are always behind and I would agree. I wouldn't recommend.

I recently needed a halo around my engagement ring. I had a couple estimates done, but Esken Jewelers was by far the most reasonable priced and the most welcoming place. The own made me feel comfortable on deciding the shape and style. He not only did a wonderful job, but had the ring done in a timely manner. I couldn't be happier with the outcome.

Had a custom engagement ring made. With Don's experience and recommendations, it came out better than expected!!! Would give 10 stars if I could!

This individual is very unresponsive and arrogant. He thinks he's a surgeon.. He kept my jewelry for months and didn't touch it. When I asked him when it would be ready he had a major attitude. I don't think it's too much to expect to have my item repaired in a timely manner or at least an estimate of when it will be done. I received nothing but aggravation and a waste of my tim. BEWARE!!!!!! You will be sorr!

I've been shopping at Esken's for a few years now. Mr. Esken is one of the area's few real craftsman/jewelers and provides great quality & service. I question some of the lower ratings and wonder if those customers have realistic expectations. Quality and attention to detail take time to deliver.

Scope of work: I lost ONE of of my earrings but have a ring that matched it. I wanted to reconfigure my one earring and the ring to create a new set of earrings. Don said this would be pretty straightforward, he just needed to order the setting, which would arrive within a few days of ordering. He provided me a ticket that had my number (in a queue) that would determine where my place in line was. I called every month since May 22 to check on the status. Each time I was informed that Don works on the projects based on the order he receives the jobs (referring to the ticket number). My mother in law went in with me the day I dropped off my jewelry and he was the number right before me. My MIL's job was completed in mid-Sept. So when I called back on October 14th to ask about the status of my ticket, Don himself advised that he hasn't worked on it yet. The reason? "Your type of work requires me to sit down and focus on it and I just havent had the time." When I asked him about the ordering of the projects and that my MIL's job was finished almost a month ago and I was next in line, he then informed me he was working on "smaller jobs" in between. THIS WAS COMPLETE BULL considering every month that I called, the excuse both my MIL and I was that he takes the project in the order they were received regardless of complexity. SO HERE I AM 5 MONTHS IN, NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT. May 22: Drop off my jewelry with Don October 14: Picked up my jewelry from Don - NOTHING WAS WORKED ON. Result: Loss of ~5 months. AWFUL AWFUL Customer Service. NO SERVICE done. If I can give this establishment zero stars - I would. The excuse I kept getting was that Esken's is the only jeweler open in the area because others have closed down. How they remain in business is beyond me. I don't know what kind of business practices they run, but they are unreliable and unprofessional. TL;DR - TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE, ANYWHERE ELSE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

No longer supporting this business. He has been my parents jeweler for ten plus years. My fiancé bought my engagement ring there. My fiancé broke the clasp on his chain. He called and asked if he was able to fix it. One and a half months later he called to check on the repair. Donald told him how dare he bother him. Come pick up his piece of s*** chain and leave him alone. We will never support this business again. If he didn’t have time, he could have just stated that in the beginning and we would have understood. To treat regular returning customers this way really shows the type of person running this business. I have no respect for Mr. Esken and we will no longer be supporting or recommending.

I'm not sure what to think. I took my watch in for a band repair and new battery almost 2 months ago. Also brought in an old watch bracelet to see if it could be repaired. Was told the old watch bracelet would be sent out for repair. I keep calling for updates and just keep getting told they haven't had time to do the repair and that that's how it works there. I was then told, by Donald, that I can pick up my un-repaired watch anytime and that maybe he can text the person who has the other watch bracelet, maybe. I understand that artists/craftsmen can be temperamental and do things on their own schedule, but this is getting frustrating.Update: I picked up my still broken watches and have to find a different jeweler who can make the needed repairs. No fighting, no arguing, no charge, no hard feelings. Sometimes things just don't work out the way you had hoped, so you move on in life.

Absolutely The worst ... they have had my sons gold chain since February. Easy fix. Was told 2-3 weeks for the repair at drop off..,Called in APRIL to check the status of the repair ... still not fixed & was told engagement rings come first. Now fast forward to MAY 25th, I just go in the store to pick it up because we are sick of waiting for the repair. No apology, nothing!!!! Absolutely the worst!
