The people in meat department was unfriendly and impatient. They really don't want to help. Very disappointed.

On 2/4 i shopped at McIntyre square Giant Eagle At 7; pm. upon completion of selecting my items i came to the front of the store to check out.I had 8 items so first I looked for the quick checkout lane and there wasn't any. Since i dont use self checkout i looked for an open maned checkout register. There was 1 only 1 open at by this time 7;10 pm. Finally after standing in line behind 3 customers with completely filled carts a young man opened another register. i moved over and was first in line. As i was leaving the store there were 3 ladies standing in front of the area marked self checkout registers. i inquired as to WHY only 1 register was open with a clerk only to have one of these women tell me there were 2 open registers for a long time. Pardon my language but i said BS cause the one register just opened and i was first in line. This does not seem to be a policy about taking care of and caring about your customers.this qualifies as horrible customer service. What a joke. INSTEAD OF STANDING AROUND LADIES DOING NOTHING GET TO A REGISTER. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

GROCERY DELIVERYI got hit with the 2023 Bubonic plague. Quarantined. So, I decided to try grocery delivery. First order: I'll make a beef stock broth will feed me for days. Well, I will say user error. I thought I ordered 3 leeks ... got 9, 1 lb of carrots ... got 1 carrot. It was funny. The delivery driver followed directions left everything at my door.Second order: Again, user error ... I thought I ordered 2 center cut pork chops .... got 2 family packs of center cut pork chops ... thought I ordered 4 lobster tails ... got four 4 packs. Again, delivery was great. All the refrigerated stuff was separate from non-refridgerated.In each order, I thought I ordered everything before I hit submit. Not. I put a note in each 2nd order to please add to 1st order. I got both orders in both deliveries. Thank you!If I regularly ordered, I am sure I would get better at it. In one week, I spent almost $400 on fresh meat, seafood, & vegetables. Everything delivered was the caliber/quality I would have personally selected. I am so glad this service was available when I needed it. The first place I visited when quarantine ended was Giant Eagle to pick up a prescription. I was so nice to be out and about.

good reliable grocery store around pittsburgh. you can find everything from pre-packaged food to frozen section to deli to fresh fruits and vegetables. overall, decent prices on most things. they are an extensive grocery store that also dabbled in vitamins, health and wellness, and seasonal items. they have had reduced hour since covid, so make sure to double check the hours before going

I witnessed an young girl who was obviously the front end worker that oversees the cashiers talk down and insult an employee who obviously had mental challenges. She embrassed him in front of me. Told him to not close down his lane ever again! That was uncalled for and shameful. She isn't any better and probably makes 50 cents more than he does. The proper way was not to shame him in front of me, but to tell him in private in a more respectful manner. I feel awful for not speaking up. Next time I will.

Been going to this Giant Eagle for about 20 years. I'm a regular so am always greeted by staff. Store always has what I need. People in parking lot aren't always watching where they're going but you learn to watch out. Pharmacy has always been great. At most have to wait 15 min for a refill that I didn't call ahead for. Complaint: the aisles are narrow and they moved things around a lot about 5 years ago. They've stopped doing that since. Other complaint: there's often trash in parking lot. They do need to work on this.

Angry-talked to a pharmacy person, said my prescription would be ready in an hour. He even called me a few minutes later to ask a question about the quantity I wanted. When I got there a few hours later, they said they were out of stock. How hard is it to call me and tell me that before I make the trip? They did the same exact thing to my husband a few months ago. Very pitiful. Can't giant eagle hire people to do their jobs? It's not that hard to make a phone call. I complained to the manager, he was nice, but I could tell that he did not want to talk to those pharmacy people.

better costumer service open deli till later and don't close deli when 4 or more people are in libe. Move credit card reader back. You are on top of the person behind you when you try to use it

The curbside pickup is terrible. First time I tried it I waited 20 minutes for my order after arriving at scheduled time. Second time I paid with PayPal in the app and when I arrived was told "PayPal doesn't work" and I had to pay again. Also, every single item was inexplicably in its own plastic bag. Yep, 11 bags for 11 items. Third time I tried it they made ridiculous substitutions without my approval. It is a really terrible experience and really needs to be improved.

I hate this establishment more than anything in the entire world. I’ve been to other giant eagles and other grocery store chains, and this is by far the worst location in the world. The store layout is the most complicated setup I’ve ever seen. The aisles are so narrow and cluttered with pop up displays that take up more limited aisle spaces. Today was the cherry on top, and the last straw for this location. The employees are either young high school/college kids that are lazy or old technology deficient people. I was given a printed out electronic gift card, and two employees tried to claim that you can’t use them in store because you “need the physical card” and how “hundreds” of these cards could be printed out and handed to hundreds of people. Which is not how gift cards works, nor how these work. They refused to enter the card/PIN number but told me I could use it online. The disclaimer on the gift card stated you could use it at any giant eagle chain locations, not limited to a specific store or online/in person. These people were just lazy and incompetent.

I have visited this Giant Eagle a few times so far. This grocery store is not as large or nice-looking as most other locations, but it sells most of the products that I need. Today I did my regular grocery shopping. Organic fruits and vegetables were right near the entrance. A decent variety of canned and boxed goods, meats, fishes, dairy, baked goods, etcetera were throughout the store. The prices were typical. The deli worker and cashier said hello and thanks. The store was busy for the Christmas weekend, but parking outside was adequate, and only one person was ahead of me in the checkout line.
