I've had good experiences here and I've dealt with staff who are very nice. Sadly, the bad experiences over shadow any good ones. They have been consistently refusing to refill one of my son's prescriptions because they think the dose is too high. The other week I asked them to request a transfer of ONE specific prescription from another pharmacy because the pharmacy in question did not have it in stock. They requested ALL my prescriptions be transferred instead. Today I had an issue where they did not refill another one of my son's prescriptions because it's a controlled substance and I should have known that they don't automatically refill those (even though they have in the past.) I asked for them to refill it, we are going out of town and he is about to run out, and they said they don't have it but that I could call around and see if other pharmacies carry it. When I asked if they could check if another Giant Eagle had it in stock the person on the line said that she's too busy and that's not her job.

Extremely understaffed and dirty even for a giant eagle. Staff is overall fine but beer counter is rarely staffed so just head to the one in the waterfront or go to sav-mor on browns hill if you want a pack of beer.

Unreliable, never have medication in stock and won't restock it when they run out until you request your prescription. Which often leads to you going to pick it up and them telling you they don't have it, Bev is great and always very helpful. The younger women working are very unhelpful and wouldn't help me find a pharmacy with my prescription that I needed in stock and kept repeating themselves and talking over me, not understanding or caring that the prescription was a seizure preventative. I only needed one dose until their delivery got there

Unreliable as a pharmacy. Unprofessional when your medication has been on back order and laugh when I come in to check if back in stock (glad you think it’s funny, but it is NOT to me). The pharmacy is terrible at notifying you when and/or if it is ready and you will have to call every day to check in on some medications. I should have made some where else my primary pharmacy

Went to pick up a Med I was supposed to be taking the next day after my doctor told me it would be there with instructions.Picked it up, and was told no instructions were sent with the meds and they have not received a fax regarding the matter. They said they would call my doctor and get back with me first thing in the morning. After not getting a phone call from anyone there, I called there today and the employee that helped me couldn’t be less concerned, and said the fax was there yesterday the whole time. I can’t help but feel like I’m burdening the employees there just to get my medication with proper instructions.Absolute shame.No accountability

This pharmacy consistently lacks the awareness to take care of their customers.We have received wrong prescriptions. We have also been notified of the filling of prescriptions, only to find they are not available to pick them up. Staff is often slow and clumsy. Out of 5 giant eagles pharmacies, this is by far the worst.

My medication was 50 dollars this year. Luckily I found a coupon/card for it online, sadly I couldn't print it out or show it on my phone.The pharmacist Eli and an assistant (whose name escapes me) helped by looking it up on the computer AND printing it out for me. By doing that, it lowered the cost by a large margin.Cant beat that!
