I’m only giving 1 star so I can write the review otherwise it’s a-10. Avoid this dump if at all possible. I was supposed to have a 1 hr layover on a direct bus to my destination. 13 hours and countless phone calls to cust service later a driver showed up. The first two decided not to come to work today. Customer service (I use that term very lightly) said they would not refund the trip price to me but offered a voucher for another trip as a refund. Wait , that’s not a refund that’s just changing my travel date! They said I could take the next bus after another 4 hr wait but it’s sold out so I would have to sit or stand in the aisle until a seat was open at the next stop 4 hours away. The restaurant had nothing but stale tortilla chips and watered down soft drinks at $5.50 a bag and $4.00 per drink. All of this and the company of several groups of rats roaming the hallway to the departure doors can be yours just for riding Greyhound.

It’s after 9am there are no employees the buses are lare and all the customers are confused. Avoid this bus service. The obviously are not a professional organization. I guess we’re just supposed to complain to the bus drivers. Not going to ever be taking Greyhound again if possible at least not at this location. I feel bad for you pittsburgh people. I helped two homeless gentlemen had to yell at a crazy lady who was yelling at everyone. And there are so many people sleeping on the floor. Seems like just a hangout for homeless people.

Not the Greyhound it was when Greyhound actually OWNED & operated the company and it's bus terminals. Well, ok the busses are the same & the bathrooms are built for skinny contortionists.... but even that is outweighed by the fact that most of the so called bus stations are minimally staffed, very few of them have ticket machines that actually work & many of them no longer have restaurants or even a coffee shop in them. $7.00 for a vending machine sandwich and 4.75 for a small bottled green juice that wasn't even organic?!?

To all my fellow passengers who were stranded with me on the way to New York on 10/15/23-10/16/23, I made it to New Jersey via a flight! A sincere thanks to everyone who stuck around while I got my life together. I truly hope you all made it to where you all needed to go!To the woman who's husband kept bullying for a ticket to go home, honey, LEAVE HIS SORRY A$$. You deserve way better!Thanks to the 2 staff members for getting that homeless creep out of my face.I was stuck here for 12 HOURS after a bus driver canceled the 1:30 am ride to Philadelphia. Customer service had the AUDACITY to blame me for NOT taking a bus that they failed to mention was at 100% full capacity. The experience was indeed a horrific and traumatic ordeal and needless to say I will NOT be traveling via bus ever again. Let alone I NEVER want to see THIS particular station ever again. Unless Pittsburgh is your final destination, avoid this station AT ALL COSTS.

Unfortunately the 6+ hrs on the bus was a pretty gray and hounding experience to Pitts, hoping never again. Make it your last option then rethink. God Bless if this is your only option. Ticket is not expensive but not cheap either. No need to book the seats unless the bus generally goes full. We made the mistake of not asking our family and friends before booking. The Philly staff and driver were nice and their text messaging system works but the rest is all downhill from there. Bus was 1/2 hr late to start and was packed. The bus was old, really bad seats and then broke down on the turnpike and we lost time, then managed to ride the same to Pitts then maybe beyond who knows. The bus stank from the start then the bathroom stank and the entire bus stank even more!!!! Please bring extra water, extra food and MASKS!! Not sure what's right for Greyhound, sorry!

Horrible customer service. They treat you like prisoners. Disgusting restrooms. The customer service rep refuses to help with ticket reissue. Homless junkies all through the station begging for money and food. Only one staff on duty with kverd a hundred customers that need assistance. No toilet paper. Beer cans all over the restroom.

I am not the type to typically leave a negative review but after spending 7 hours at this station attempting to get home, I’d hope to help others avoid having to deal with the same. My Greyhound bus was delayed 4 times. Delays happen, I understand that, but there was not a single customer service/ intercom announcement that informed us or gave us any information. There was not a single person working the customer service desk and the only person who ever gave us information was a bus driver from a different company. When an employee finally showed up, they could not even inform us if the bus was still coming or not and I ended up wasting almost 7 hours sitting in this station. Ended up switching to a Fullington bus which had much better communication. The terminal station is average just avoid booking through Greyhound!!!

The food court employee was very nice, accommodating, and helpful. That’s the only good thing I can say. The terminal reeks of piss, while many people requested the staff restock the toilet paper in the bathroom, but that never happened. Our bus was delayed for 2 hours, then cancelled. All while no one could find an actual staff members until 7 hours later. The staff member was incredibly rude and argumentative with people that had no idea what was going on for the last 7 hours. I will never ride greyhound again, and I definitely won’t be coming back to this terminal. Awful experience, book elsewhere

I went to the Pittsburgh Greyhound bus station for the first time today, and the lobby area was clean, but noisy and crowded.As for the front entrance, it smelled of tobacco and weed smoke, and there were a few people smoking in the “No smoking” section despite the signs.I also appreciated that there were signs throughout the station saying that only people who purchased tickets were allowed in and homeless people were not allowed inside.There is also a charging station, restaurant, and signs posted throughout the station, and vending machines.Finally, I have found the station to be safe, but when I was waiting for my Uber ride, there were people screaming for no apparent reason.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE EVERYTHING! Down from the terrible, nasty disgusting and rude workers who are literally no help. To them scheduling buses without having drivers. Disgusting and dirty. Nothing is ever clean. Nobody ever knows anything. Greyhound is literally scamming people out of money and leaving them stranded. It’s insane. I would never in my life ride with greyhound again.

Very poor service, the bus was delayed for one hour, there is nobody at the station to talk to. There was a lady and a guy in the bus outside the waiting area, l waved, knock did everything to get her attention, she looked at me turned back and ignored me. Someone came to the reception for like 10min , they left people in line and walked away. No updated board to check information. Very bad service, l wanted to give 0 star but l just have to pick one .

Instructions are not clear and taking breaks is risky, sometimes the drivers say 5 minutes and it’s 30 and vice versa. The station is fine and bathrooms / vending machines work but it’s hard to find someone who works there to get help.

A mess would be an understatement . I come there on a Saturday , the screen with the schedule says see agent but guess what? No agent to be found . None. 20 minutes later a plain clothes guy walks behind the desk and starts assisting , he was the agent outside servicing the bus or doing whatever . But to leave the place unattended to by no one but him on a saturday is unacceptable. Also there are signs that only customers can use the bathroom yet homeless have taken over the center. Now we got on the bus 20 minutes late and the bathroom is disgusting . We can’t flush, no sanitizer and just nasty for a 10 hour drive. Never again

It's a nice bus station which is good because the buses are usually late...Both times I've been here so far, the bus was over two hours late.Thankfully they've got good amenities. The bathrooms are clean, good selection of vending machines with lots of snacks and sodas. They even have an ice cream vending machine. And they have a nice big charging station where you can plug in your phone which is needed because the buses are consistently late.The only bad thing is the staff didn't do a good job of keeping us up-to-date on how late the bus was or when it was expected to arrive.

The first time I tried using their services my bus got cancelled 3 days before it left. The second time, I got a text at 1AM (when the bus was leaving at 6AM) that there is a delay and they are working on a new leave time. No new leave time was ever sent. I called customer service and they told me to show up at my original time. I waited for 2 and a half hours and the bus driver never showed up. I called customer service again and they told me the only other bus I could take would get me to a different destination and also way later than I had planned. I wasn’t doing that so she said apply for a refund online to get money back. I did this and have been in email fights with customer service. They offered a voucher, I said no, then they said they could give me money back. When I agreed, they replied back saying no you actually cannot get money back. I emailed them again fighting it and they told me all they are offering me is a voucher.Aside from all this, the station is disgusting. It was very dirty with trash and mysterious liquids on the floor. I also watched a homeless man come inside and dig through the trash until he found something he wanted to eat. Not to mention there was only 1 worker in the whole place.
