I recently had a disappointing experience at this hotel. Despite being assured by a clerk at check-in that our bike would be safe in the parking lot, it was stolen from our car. The manager's response was simply an apology, lacking any attempt to address the security issue. Additionally, our toilet was clogged twice during our short 12-hour stay, and despite reporting it, no one came to fix it the second time. This left us, with kids in tow, having to repeatedly trek to the public washroom downstairs. The hotel's repeated apologies did little to mitigate our frustrations. Needless to say, we will not be returning.

This hotel is a great place to stay in. The workers are kind and the breakfast is great. There is also a pool and a gym to pass time. The rooms are nice but could be a bit cleaner. There are many things very close to it too which is nice. Over all I had a great stay.

This is a convenient place to stay. The Strip is only 5 blocks away, and the Convention Center (and downtown) is only a few blocks the other way. I felt very safe in this area. The have free parking. The continental breakfast is pretty good. They have some sort of hot eggs everyday as well breakfast meat. Plenty of other choices like make your own waffles, oatmeal, bagels, and fruit.

I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn Pittsburgh Downtown and had a positive experience overall. The room was clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable stay. Additionally, the hotel offers gated parking, adding an extra layer of security for guests with vehicles. As expected in a city environment, there is some level of road and city noise. However, this is a common aspect of staying in downtown areas and did not significantly impact my stay. The hotel's location is a major plus, with lots of activities and attractions nearby, making it convenient for guests looking to explore the city.In summary, the Hampton Inn Pittsburgh Downtown offers clean accommodations, secure parking, and a prime location for those wanting to immerse themselves in the city's offerings.

The hotel is in a great location within walking distance to the Strip district and close to downtown. There are a lot of restaurants close by to choose from and you are next to the trail that goes along the riverfront. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good with a decent selection. The room was quiet and nice with a good view. And parking is free, which you don't see at many hotels in the area.

absolutely the worst hotel experience I've had in a long time. it started at check in when I arrived at the check in time to be told the room was not ready (not really a big deal since it was exactly check in time). they then said I would get a message when the room was ready and to hang out in the lobby. I sat in the lobby for 30 minutes. after 30 minutes I went up to the desk to ask when the room might be ready and they informed me it had been ready but I never received a message nor did the staff let me know.then there was the parking - I picked the hotel because of the free parking but when we came back to the hotel at 8:30pm, every spot was taken. I asked what to do and they said to wait for a spot to open or pay to park somewhere else. so I ended up having to pay $14 to park for the night in a garage down the street

This location was a convenient, clean, and comfortable space to call home base during a stay in the downtown area. Plenty of dining options within walking distance made it easy to get around without having to drive and deal with parking. The room (king) was plenty big, clean, and modern. Plenty of TV options for downtime. Huge shower with great pressure and temperature control. Could probably cook an egg in the hot water full blast.Pillows are super flat, but just flat enough that if you stack two it makes one normal pillow, and you get four per bed so it self-resolves.Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. No complaints all around; would stay here again.Rooms: Rooms were quiet, large, and easy to get to.Walkability: Plenty of restaurant options nearby; not all are open at night, but over a dozen within 0.5 miles from the front door. The front desk can give you a list with the options, a city map, and recommendations.

Can't beat the convenience. Free parking, pretty good free breakfast each morning? Yes, please!I've stayed at this location 2 years in a row for Anthrocon, with such short walking distance of the convention center it works perfectly for me and my friends. The front desk is almost always warm and welcoming to see us return from the convention, and chatting them up a bit is one of the perks of the trip.It isn't exactly a 5 star classy hotel, but honestly, it doesn't need to be. It has more than enough going for it to be worth staying at.Also, that pool and hot tub is a god send after a long day walking around the convention center.Rooms: I have stayed in two different types of rooms so far, one with two queen beds and this past year a suite with a few other friends. They are pretty comfortable, and the suite room is, well, roomy. There is plenty of space to store all the stuff we brought (stayed for a week for Anthrocon 2023, so fursuits, water, food, luggage)Walkability: Being so close to the convention center for Anthrocon is great, but really, the hotel has so much centered around it within close walking distance. I mean, the Heinz museum is literally across the road, so there is a lot to go to within close proximity.

Good location and nice to have free parking including EV charging. However, when we arrived, we asked about the charging spots and the blond woman who checked us in admitted to being parked in the spot. She drives a gasoline Subaru, not an EV. She said she’d be out in 10 mins to leave. 40 minutes later and after we had to go in and ask her to move, she finally moved. Additionally, we arrived a tad early and told our room wasn’t ready. Ended up not being ready until after 4 pm check-in. Trash cans out front all overflowing. The shower has the big jugs of shampoo, conditioner and soap but two were empty so had to go to front desk mid-shower to get more. Doesn’t seem to be well ran.

Simply a wonderful place, definitivelybec of the awesome Jaime and Holly at FrontDesk with their attentive customer service. We had a roomchange due to a maintenance issue, and it was smooth. Seen Eric, at breakfast service replenishing constantly. Even helped me with the waffle machine. Housekeeping is super, clean! Location is great and we enjoyed the Strip’s shops and offerings.
