We are on a business trip staying for one night. My first room had a dead thermostat, so I had to pack back up and switch rooms. That's fine, it happens. That room smelled bad anyway.I get to my next room, go to hang up my shirt, and there is a wet, smelly jacket in my closet hung up. I closed the door. I look at my phone, and I have a text from my co-worker saying that they found pubic hairs in their sheets when they first pulled them back. This place is not clean. The windows are also not thick, so you can hear the traffic from the 6th floor like it's right next to your window. The front desk has been very nice, but that can't make up for a poor experience. Won't be staying here again. I'll be lucky if I sleep tonight.

Definitely always my first choice now. Just across the street from the Pirate's stadium, it is a good area. A lot of amenities are within walking distance. We couldn't be happier with our experience. We look forward to coming back again!

I came with my family for two nights to visit the city and enjoy the sites. An important part of my decision is the complimentary breakfast. It was good on the first day. The second day - there were no eggs, no pancakes, no sausage/bacon...nothing my kids love. We had to line up for the toaster since there wasn't much else there. Very disappointing for me but my kids especially.

Staff friendly but inefficient. Some strobe light in the room on the fire alarm was unacceptable. We had two rooms one room had the sprinkler heads covered. Parking was way overpriced. But handy and not valet. Breakfast was acceptable , about as expected. Very near the river walk and local restaurants. Right next to ballpark.

Rooms were great! I occasionally heard my neighbors leaving there room but other than that quiet and relaxing. Customer service was incredibly helpful and still let me stay in the hotel even after I was told I needed too be 21. Saved me from sleeping in my company vechile.Rooms: Rooms were much more luxurious then I had expected.Nearby activities: The zoo a comfortable walking distance, 2 miles, and their are plenty of food vendors near the hotel.Walkability: Definitely easier to walk then to try to maneuver through traffic to find a place to park.Food & drinks: Primanti brothers next door to the holiday Inn so you can walk to get lunch before or after checking inNoteworthy details: The guy at the front desk was incredibly helpful and understanding.

Room was pretty nice and met my expectations for the cost. The only thing I really disliked was the flashing green lights on the smoke detectors. There was two in my room, so either way you faced in bed there was a flashing green light. Taking away one start for that alone. There was a good amount of street noise, but I couldn't hear any people in neighboring rooms.

Please exercise caution with your personal belongings while staying at this hotel. During our visit, an item of ours was removed from our room by housekeeping while we were out. Upon noticing its absence that evening, I immediately reported it to the front desk staff, but they were unable to recover it before my departure the next day. Following my stay, I contacted the housekeeping manager, who eventually located the item. However, the interaction was disappointing as the manager implied that the fault lay with me, suggesting I had misplaced the item, and insisted that I cover the shipping costs to retrieve it. I found their approach to be discourteous and unaccommodating. While I understand that errors can occur, I was disheartened by the lack of responsibility and the failure to propose a fair resolution. Still waiting to hear back from the hotel manager…

Stayed here this past weekend for a leisure/solo trip. Didn't know what to expect but I'm glad I stayed here. It is conveniently located near downtown Pittsburgh. You can either take the Public Transit (bus/train) or walk. I enjoyed my stay. I liked the look of the lobby and the breakfast area. There weren't many choices, but it was doable. I didn't like the eggs (a bit runny), but other than that, you could eat the food served. My room was cozy, nicely decorated, and very different from the ones I've stayed before. It gives kind of funky modern vibes, but that's good. I didn't like that there weren't drawers to put your stuff away if you so chose, but to me, it wasn't a big deal. I kept my stuff in my suitcase. The bathroom was nice, I actually loved it. I loved the glass shower doors and the fact that they had DOVE Hand soap/hand wash/body wash. I bought my own stuff thinking I was going to use bar soap. The cool touch to the rooms were the shades & the TV. You could actually check out from your room on the TV ??. The thing I found weird was that apparently housekeeping comes to your room while your out during the day to take out garbage/straighten the bed. I didn't know that would be happening at all and would've liked a heads up. Glad I didn't have anything major left out in the open. I appreciated it though. You are allowed to leave tips if you so choose digitally which was cool. Not much food choices outside in the immediate area but a few spots. This hotel is located near the PNC Park (where the Pirates play ⚾️), Rivers Casino isn't a far walk, drive or bus, T train station (North Side), Acrisure Stadium (Steelers ?), Andy Warhol Museum is actually a block away and other tourist attractions. I'd definitely stay again.

I was in town for a convention and I really liked the hotel. It is right by PNC park and near the bridges. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly. If it weren't for my allergies that I have to the environment in Pittsburgh it would have been perfect.

Just a standard room. 2 beds. Nice desk setup. Pretty view. Doors are thin. Could hear the folks in the hallway. Breakfast was good. They a pancake maker. Good orange juice. Bath tubs for relaxation. Polite front desk staff.Walkability: You can walk to downtown. All the stadiums. Walk to west view park. Walk to Allegheny General. It's definitely in a good location.

The smoke detector flashed a bright green light (so bright it lit up the room) every 15 seconds, making it difficult to sleep. We asked the front desk for support and were told "all of the rooms are like this, there is nothing we can do". I'm pretty sure they just needed to change the batteries but couldn't be bothered. The room was dirty and the pool was cold.

As someone who travels a lot for work, there are occasions when your stay isn't quite like the rest. I don't ask for much, but this hotel missed the mark on a couple of things.I did check in really late at night, but when I arrived, I wasn't given the usual "welcome treatment." My status wasn't recognized, I wasn't informed about breakfast times or check out time. The room was nice and I liked the design.Breakfast could have been way better. Very subpar. When breakfast shut down promptly at 930am, I was in the middle of toasting bread, and I was informed I needed to leave immediately. Completely shocked, I did what I was told by was stunned when they shut the door.I checked with the front desk about the timing of check out since I wasn't previously told and assumed that as a top-tier brand loyalist, I would be treated the same as all other recent hotel stays which allowed for a late check out of 2pm. The front desk person chuckled and told me I had to be out immediately because they have a "full hotel" tonight. Guess my one overnight stay wasn't very important.I gathered my stuff and left. It wasn't worth understanding why the services were bad, and I wanted to get out of that unwelcoming environment.

Location is great. You can walk across the bridge to downtown. The parking is odd. Lots of people hangout there at night and loiter. They also don’t tell you they charge you for parking. The hotel lobby is nicer than the rooms… the rooms are dirty. Loud music was playing all night until 4AM! I’m surprised the people who were partying didn’t get kicked out. Lots of loud people in the halls along with the music. It’s an ok hotel if you have no where to stay… They also leave holds on your card for too long. $100 hold and I checked out in October! and my money is still pending! My hold isn’t a separate charge either. It’s all together. Most hotels I’ve been to undo the hold an hour after checking out. I’ve called them twice and they say there’s nothing they can do and my bank can’t do anything until the charge is completed. $320 for holiday inn is outrageous. I could’ve stayed anywhere for that price and it would’ve been nicer and a better experience.UPDATE: I finally got my deposit back! it took only a month... Oct.20 to Nov.20

This is a great location for walking across the bridge to the convention center. The rooms are wonderfully clean and there is coffee in the evenings too. There is some freewayNoise but the location more than makes up for it. Note that the exercise bicycle does not work. The internet is fairly fast and I’d give it a B. Thank you all.
