I cannot say enough great things about working with Richard at the Mt Lebo office!
I was previously working with another accounting firm but there were several red flags that made me worried.
I decided to get a second opinion and headed to HR Block because they were able to get me in the fastest.
I was a little nervous because our situation is always a bit more complicated, however, Richard is a true expert! I learned so much from working with him. He was also able to help save us significantly.
The whole office is also great-- the man at the front desk is always extremely helpful and friendly too.
From now on, I won't go anywhere else!

I am a flight attendant so I had to file state taxes in two separate locations besides PA. I took my taxes to H&R block thinking I was doing the right thing by taking them to a professional preparer since I didn't feel I had enough understanding to file correctly. I made my appointment when I was able to come home in between trips to drop all my forms off at the office in Mount Lebanon (514 Washington BLVD) they gave me Jillian Rosser as a preparer who is a senior tax analyst. I went on assuming my taxes were being filed and no issues were arising because I was told that if any issues would arise they would call me. This was a week before the tax deadline. On the 15th I was called by I'm guessing an office assistant who asked where I actually lived. I stated "Pittsburgh" that was the only question asked. So I still thought everything was okay. Later that day Mrs. Rosser called me to say she did my taxes just not the Portland, OR taxes and that there were some issues because the different rules there. She then told me the cost which was several hundred dollars difference then what it said it was going to be online the total was going to be $545. I then made an appointment with her for the 16th of April to sign and finish the paperwork. The next day comes. She calls 30 mins prior to my appointment when I was already halfway there to cancel with no explanation. After that there was nothing but problems. I made several calls with no call backs from her. Later after finally making an appointment with another person in the same office named Laura I find out that none of my taxes were filled , there was no extension filled by this point we are in May way beyond the tax deadline. Laura got in touch with someone in the Portland OR office who took over my file and did my taxes by there were not officially done until May 15th a month late. And the Cost went up to $640. Jillian Rosser actions were unethical, fraudulent, and unprofessional.

I would trust Barb Bittner with my taxes for as long as I live! She was amazing and gave me the best financial advice moving forward. She explained to me what I should expect with all the tax forms I gave her and gave me a very detailed rundown of how my income and tax bracket changed throughout the years! She took less than a half hour to file my taxes and was a generally pleasant person to speak to.

My initial appointment was with another preparer who seemed completely overwhelmed with my situation. A manager then assigned me to Joe and I was extremely happy with his services. He exuded confidence in the tax preparation process. I trust that he filed my taxes correctly despite the fact that I had to pay approximately $6000 in taxes!
