Incredibly helpful staff! I still use the non-stick skillet and paring knife they picked out for me! Coming back soon.

Super cool place! In the kitchen has a great selection cookware, dishes, and kitchen gadgets. These range from $5 ovenmitts shaped like sharks to $500 knives. If you're a hobby cook, this is paradise! The staff were all super nice and helpful. They answered any questions and let us try the expensive knives. If you check in you get a free tote! A good place to window shop, buy a hostess gift, or buy yourself a kitchen goodie!

They offer knife sharpening services and they're very good at it. Selection here is excellent - you will find something you've been missing. And I don't mean useless kitchen trinkets, I mean real useful kitchen tools. I didn't know how badly I needed a silicone dough scraper until I found them here.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Guided me on picking a new peeler and went over and above by providing excellent visitor tips for the area. Loved their selection of wares.

Huge selection of high-quality kitchen gear. Store is well organized and easy to navigate. Online site doesn't have the best UX, but they do offer BOPIS which is nice if you know what you want and don't like parking in the Strip. Excellent selection of high-quality kitchen knives and sets as well as sharpening services. If you live in Pittsburgh and want to get a quality knife, In The Kitchen is the place you want to go!

I was helping cater my friends baby shower & I was looking for some paper doilies for the trays. It was such a unique item, and I had a hard time thinking of where I could find them in the city. Then I remembered this gem in the strip and figured I would run there to search for the doilies. Not only did I find the doilies (at a very fair price & in various sizes!), but I found some other great unique kitchen items, including bamboo sticks & a fish spatula. Truly a gem in the strip district- if you need something specific for your kitchen, check this place out!

When I think of the Strip District I think of restaurants and grocery shopping. I guess it only makes sense that there would be at least one store dedicated to helping us shoppers prep our shopping once we get our things back home. The impression I had from my first visit here is that if you're looking for something kitchen-related, there's a good chance that it's available at this store. In The Kitchen sells quite the assortment of cookware, bakeware, cutlery, and gadgets. Plus you can find some kitchen essentials such as seasonings, pasta sauce, and salsa. When I was here I purchased an assortment of items for my friends, as there was something here for all of them. I have to admit that despite being surrounded by high-quality cooking utensils and whatnot, my favorite purchase was a dinosaur-shaped ice tray. Come on - that's just too fun! While I'm not in the Strip very often, I can definitely see myself shopping here again when I do make the trek back to the area. Even if I don't need to purchase anything for myself, I'm sure I'll continue to find great gifts here for the cooks and bakers in my life!

Great selection of stockpots without being overwhelming. Impressive pricing, and super quick shipping, complete with a handwritten thank you note.

I went to get my knives sharpened and my knives were returned to me more dull than before I brought them in. This has created a very dangerous situation where I have slipped and almost cut myself because the blade will not slice through food items. The price is good and they are very fast but do not take your knives here if you want quality. I feel as though this was a waste of money and now I have to take them somewhere else to be sharpened and hope that my expensive knives have not sustained irreparable damage.

after being disappointed at penn supply, we went to in the kitchen. i just knew they would have something. because it was a nice saturday, it was a ZOO in the strip! tom couldn't find a place to park after 2 passes. i got out & ran in. i started looking around but had no idea where to actually look. i got a sales clerk & told her of my dilemma. she took me straight over to where i needed to be & found the bowls! i found a cookie scoop i wanted too so i think it was a win-win day for me! if you need anything for the kitchen, they are THE best! i've gotten several things here over the years.

Great kitchen store in the Strip District. If you are a chef, or you know someone who is, try checking this place out. Its a very convenient location; you can do some shopping in the Strip and then pick up some knives, baking materials, ovens, coffee grinders, and other cookware items. This place has a great variety of products for the size. It's not huge, but the items they sell are high quality. They have some of the best knives that you can buy in the Pittsburgh area. Keep an eye out for the knife display they have. You'll see Zwilling, Wusthof (rated and recognized as one of the best knives, if not the best, for chefs), among others. They also offer knife sharpening services. If you are a serious chef, this is essential to ensure your knives last for a while and you can make the most out of your products. The staff is also quite helpful and will ensure you find the best product for your needs. It's clean and well organized. Price-wise, it is fair. You can probably find cheaper ordering from the manufacturer directly or searching online, but it's one of the cheaper kitchen speciality stores in the area. It's not the best place to shop if you are a thrifty home cook and don't take cooking too seriously. Great for gift giving to chefs.Overall, if you are serious about cooking and want some more upscale items (even some more standard items, like baking materials, pans, etc.) stop by here next time you're in the Strip. Prices are pretty fair, staff is great, products are high quality, and they offer knife sharpening.
