We enjoyed the happy hour before going to Heinz Hall. Service could’ve been a little better.

It’s been about five years since I’ve visited this location. It was good last time. The service was good this visit our waitress was very very attentive. The food was just awful. I got this Ahi tuna that felt like it was sitting around for a day. We had to return mussels because they were inedible, fries and mashed potatoes were cold. The highlight was ribeye that was small but at least it was good. We were celebrating a birthday, but didn’t even want to get dessert because everything had been a waste of money. No manager came to ask how things were. I will not come back here

Everything was excellent! Service was great. Food was incredible. We've been here a bunch of times and have never been disappointed. I had a chop salad that had something interesting in the dressing. Shrimp kisses were very tasty and the sea bass was amazing! I'll keep going back for sure.

I've long been a fan of this restaurant chain over the years, & perhaps my observations only apply to the Pittsburgh location. The restaurant felt a little tired with regards to its upkeep. Not dirty, just a bit worn & somehow lacking in personality. It has a more traditional steakhouse vibe to it, but misses the mark in terms of overall aesthetic. Food was good & definitely priced competitively when compared to other establishments. Service was average, but it was Valentines Weekend so perhaps everyone was burnt out due to the volume of business. I'm hoping the new corporate owners reinvest in the brand to return it to its former glory, otherwise I fear there'll be further consolidation & closures.

Had 7:30 reservations, there was a line out the door and no one had any idea where to go for walk ins, reservations, check ins. The only way to figure out what was going on was to ask strangers next to me. When we were seated 20 minutes after my reservation time, I was then informed that there was no soda whatsoever and my choice was water. Really? I understand not having every single soda in a can but not a single one? What a joke, I love Ruths, capital grille, Morton's, but after this I probably won't be going back to McCormicks.

I don't wanna focus too much on the service because it was Valentine's Day & they were very busy. The food was very good but I don't think it was worth the amount we spent. We have been to many restaurants in Pittsburgh and we don't mind paying for great quality. It just felt a little too expensive to us for the quality of the food. The dessert definitely saved it for me - the best part.

Overall, the meal was fine. Could not order a soft drink because the carbonization system was down the whole time we were there. Also, when you order "lump" crab cakes you normally expect to see some lump crab meat... especially at that price. These appeared to be all shredded crab meat... disappointing.

Great food. We were walk ins after attending The Bridgid Irish music festival at the August Wilson center. I had a steak which was very good and my wife had the stuffed salmon which she enjoyed greatly. Unfortunately we had to wait about an hour for our food. They apologized and gave us 20 percent off our meal, which I guess made it ok. It's no fun to see folks who sat down at their table 15 to 20 minutes after you get their food before you. Great food though.

Always a favorite of ours. First hiccup we've ever had there... My wife ordered sea bass and it was not cooked through, it was seriously under done in the middle. Our server was quick to take it back and replace it with one that was perfectly prepared. We will definitely be back.

Large company dinner. Steak cooked to perfection. Only thing that was off, the rolls. If there is a wait time for a large gathering, please make more rolls.

We were in town for a volleyball tournament and after a long day wanted to grab something good for dinner. McCormick and Schmick's typically is pretty good, but we all really enjoyed our dinners. The only negative was my poor son was stuck celebrating his birthday at his older sister's volleyball tournament so when we made the reservation we mentioned it was his birthday. Unfortunately they didn't recognize him in any way at dinner. Not a big deal, we plan on making it up to him soon!

Giovanna was an excellent server. Meal was well packed and her recommendations were well explained. Food was prepared well and was delicious. The dining areas were much larger than it initially appeared coming in the door and tables were adequately spaced for casual conversation. Decor is a bit dated, but not distracting.
