Efficient, friendly staff at the McKnight Rd. Pittsburgh PA location, particularly the fantastic physician who saw me (I’m sorry I don’t remember his name—initials A.R.). Excellent experience!

Being the only one in the area I don't have choice in coming. This time it's not for asthma I'm currently been waiting for almost 2 and half hours do to online appointments. This is the second time I have been here and I go to great lengths not to come here

Don’t count on MedExpress for urgent care needs. I was turned away with a sick child. There was only one person in the waiting room yet I was told there were no more walk-in time slots. Since when do walk-in clinics 1-have appointments-only access, and 2-turn people away. Shame on you, MedExpress.

The staff were kind and communicative what was going on. I had to knock off a star as they weren't ready with remote interpreting services when I requested it hours ahead of creating my appointment. The tablet wasn't charged and once they got it charged (after waiting about 10-15 minutes), they couldn't locate the access code for interpreting services with the agency they were contracted with. I ended up having my partner sign and voice for us as I didn't want to come back at another time due to an injury I wanted attention to.

The provider that was here today gave meApproximately 2 minutes of his time and would not listen to anything i had to say. I suffer from allergies and chronic sinus infections, he told me It was viral and nothing he can do. He actually dismissed what I had to say and spoke over me. I left the clinic sobbing because that was the absolute WORST patient care I have ever received. I was able to see an ent later the same day because they had a cancellation and guess what??? I was diagnosed with a sinus infection. The provider at this location today 12/15/23 was unfriendly, not compassionate and couldn’t care less about me or my issues.

The first nurse who we met for my child’s appointment interacted with us as little as possible in communication. She stood inside of the doorway as she called our name, and watched us walk around looking to see where her voice was coming from because we couldn’t see her. She spoke as little as possible, and made no attempt to display any type of friendliness. She just stared at us when I spoke. It was very odd and uncomfortable. The doctor and other nurse who stepped in were very kind.

My college aged daughter came to this MedExpress as a walk in to receive medical attention at 4:45 pm on a Sunday and was told to come back Monday morning since there where no appointments left for the day. No medical personal triaged my college age daughter to decide if waiting 14 plus hours was safe for her or others in her dorm. I don't believe this facility should be called an urgent care but rather a clinic since they require appointments. My daughter is from out of state and had to secure transportation to an urgent care within our insurance network to be turned away while extremely sick.

The first nurse I had that took my vitals was unprofessional. She was rude. She asked me what meds I take everyday and I said to her “Oh none. i mean i take prozac” & she rudely said “that’s a med!” and then asked when i got my menstural cycle and i told her that i do not sue to birth control and she rudely again said “that’s a med!” and then when she took my strep test was not comforting before or after and was very rough with it. The PA and the other nurse I had that tested me for mono made me feel better. but the first nurse was ridiculouss

I have never had a bad experience at MedExpress till this visit. I went in for a COVID test bc I had a self-test that I thought was positive. I told the person who checked me in before she placed me in a room. The doctor checked me and when I told him I thought I had COVID he snapped at me saying “don’t you think you should have told someone that” which greatly upset me bc I felt spoken down even though I had reported my concern. It was not a good experience and it made me feel terrible.

Practitioner was wonderful. The receptionist and triage nurse behaved like they were miserable. I called the next morning, think the same receptionist, never got a call back as I requested. After I wrote and posted this, I read other reviews. Glad to know I wasn't overreacting.

the doctor was rude to my 3-year-old daughter and I won't be back again. My daughter has a cough and she refused to give me a prescription for her and she told me to go directly to the pharmacy even though she wasn't diagnosed, they are taking money without doing anything they scammed me.

I went for what I thought was a poison ivy like spreading rash. While the first P.A. gave me conservative treatment I needed more aggressive medication. Further perscriptions have helped to diminsh the rash, though it's not completely gone yet. I have faith that it will heal. All the MedExpress workers were kind, thorough and professional. I'm glad they were able to help me.

The docs, nurses, NPs and PAs are usually amazing. As long as that receptionist is there, I won't be back. I have a fever. It took all my strength to drive myself there to ask for help. She made me feel bad about forgetting my license: it's on file. She asked first insurance card. It's digital and on file. When I put my credit card on the counter, she called me the "aggressive" one. I just asked for help, but left in tears from being treated like that and ended up at the ER.

I started with symptoms approx 4 days before my daughter suggested I get checked out at urgent care. I had never been to the location of MedExpress on McKnight road before. It was early evening and 90 minutes before closing. Front desk asked me if I had an appointment- I did not- she started acting like they were booked and asking if I had chest pain, having a stroke?! I was not, ultimately I was able to be squeezed in apparently mainly I feel because it became clear to the receptionist I wasn’t leaving.Btw, I was the only patient in the waiting room and called to the exam room within 3-5 minutes after sitting down.Within 10 minutes I was seen by the PA, Diana Burick - she was absolutely fantastic, incredibly empathetic, polite, kind. After talking with me, examining, she confirmed what I suspected and discussed medication with me.She provided me with contact options for a follow up optometrist as a precaution.I arrived feeling awful, I was nervous about the visit after clearly getting the message by the front desk they were close to closing and didn’t have availability unless it was urgent or trying to get me to say something only to tell me to go to an ER. However the treating PA more than made up for the front desk attitude. I still was feeling awful when I left but extremely pleased, and despite the symptoms, felt so much better. She’s a great asset to the company. I would go there again in a heartbeat and see the PA Diana who gets 5 stars. I only gave 4 overall because of front desk experience.

I made an appointment for a preemployment screening and you get shuffled into the mass of all the walk-in patients. I wasted two hours sitting in the waiting room with all the new illnesses of the season swirling around me. Why have online scheduling at all?
