Pleased with the quality of the bag I ordered online. The craftsmanship and all the fittings seems solid and like this will be my EDC bag for a longtime.Less pleasing was the lack of customer responsiveness to their general and info email addresses. Having ordered a few days before a sale dropped and inquiring about a price adjustment, *any* kind of response would've been appreciated. Regardless of the size of one's shop, customer responsiveness is something I value, regardless of the outcome, to become a repeat customer.

I have a few Moop bags and am extremely impressed by the quality and durability. I feel like they will last forever. Also, they are just as cute in person as they are online. I definitely recommend them.

This store looks like they sell nice merchandise & I have never heard of it until today & was browsing to order something & was completely shocked to see a pack of 3 facemasks for $80. & a pack of 8 regular cloth like face masks for $200. I just see so many people taxing on masks (& other supplies )10+ times what they should be, I understand businesses have to make their money & are struggling too but come on $200 for a pack of cloth face masks that are meant to protect our people, our elderly & children & help stop the spread. I wear all brand name clothes & at most i would get 1 for $30 if they got in cute girly designs. My masks all have sequence, glitter & pretty designs, etc. They would have to be pretty gorgeous masks with a stunning design for me to pay $80.But I do think the stuff they have is cute, & I definately would still purchase other things from them. ??

I've worked down the street from moop for over a year and have always admired this cute little shop. I finally decided to purchase two bags from them from their online store during Covid-19. I chose backpack number 3 and the smaller weekender, both in cereal. I have a habit of buying cheap bags and then being surprised when they rip or fall apart. Investing in these canvas bags has been great. They are high quality and I expect them to last for a long time. I absolutely love the backpacks, it fits great and has a lot of space. I love how you can loosen the strap to put a blanket or sweatshirt rolled up on top (perfect for social distanced picnics!). It's cool and practical. I know where I'll be buying my backpacks from now on! I like the smaller weekender I got but I don't think I'd buy it again. There nothing incredibly special about it. I bought it for when I'm back in the office - it can fit my laptop, lunch, and any other little things I might need. I wanted a bag that was practical but also nice and simple enough to take with me to after work events or drinks. This bag accomplishes this but for the price I could have probably found a better bag. If you need a high quality bag please considering buying one from Moop. This is a small woman owned local business and I know like many other business right now they need our support more than ever. These bags would make a prefect holiday or birthday gift!

I purchased The Paperback in the beautiful shade of Cereal....it was more gorgeous in person. Secondly, the workmanship is excellent. Thirdly, if you email Wendy (talented entrepreneur) any questions she will promptly respond. I am proud that I can purchase a product that is truly made in the USA!

I've been a customer for years now, and have always had some of the best experiences shopping here. I was so happy when Moop moved their flagship store to downtown Pittsburgh. I visit quite often. The shop is very cute, the staff (often working on making bags) are always ready to assist walk-ins. I've not had a bad experience. One of the things I love about shopping with a small (local) business is the personal touches that are added to orders. The little personal, hand-written notes for online orders are so awesome! The bags are great, too. I use them for everything, everyday. I use the paperback mini for my everyday handbag, and one of the messenger bags to carry all my work stuff around. I use the envelope clutch for an evening bag, and the tiny zip pouches to hold my chapstick, ibuprofen, etc. As I said, I literally use these bags everyday. They're very well made. I love the different finishing options that are given (waxed, corduroy, multiple colors), plus all the other little "things to go with bags."

I've been wanting to check out this Pittsburgh made canvas bag store for some time and finally got the opportunity to do so. Although bags are their main focus they also sell notebook paper, candles, bath salts, and other things. I got to speak with the owner who told me that most people order online and then pick up the bag of choice. What they have in the store is pretty much what isn't selected but the same quality. All canvas bags are water resistant and a few have an outside fur like appearance and feel to it. The types they specialize are clutches, mini bags, full size bags, and totes. The merchandise is pricey but if it is well made I don't have a problem with that. After "trying out" a few for myself I found the large one a bit heavy and I didn't even put anything in it. I was working with the smaller one but then I had a hard time putting in my cell phone in one of the pockets without difficulty. I asked about enlarging the interior pockets. He told me that was a standard pattern and could not be altered. The other thing I noticed is that the strap bags have a snap closure and then you fold it over to latch it shut. For me that involves a lot of hassle. These bags are very nice but like everything else it is a matter of personal preference. For me they are not practical and don't suit my needs. Still these bags are well made and if you are willing to make the investment you won't be disappointed. I would definitely recommend coming to the store to try one out. The final thing I inquired about was rain. It will hold up under a normal storm but be aware of the fact that if you have it only snap closed then water can get in there and possibly ruin your contents. The bags come in an array of colors and neutrals so you can order and it will be ready in a week. The store is located on First Ave downtown near Cherry Way.

ZERO FLEXIBLE 7 DAYS RETURN POLICY / Very poor customer experience. I bought a bag, and when I've receive it it was much bigger than expected. They take long to deliver so I've wait a few weeks before the bag arrived, and it end up arriving the day before I was going for a long trip to Europe to introduce my baby to the family.

Man I really dig this store. It's right near my office and I decided to go in the other day. Wow they make really great bags! I'm not in need of a new bag right now but I know where I am going in a couple of months to have a bag for spring and summer made. I did make a couple of small purchases (candles) that I am totally in love with. This location like the other businesses here are kind of tucked away and not visible to the everyday downtowner. Definitely worth the trek to this part of town to check them out and of course make a purchase.

Moop is a very cool local bag company that makes stylish, utilitarian, durable canvas bags by hand. They are primarily an online shop, but you are invited to visit the shop to see how they make the bags and to look at the bags up close. They sell some other items, such as locally made ceramics, bath salts, and thermoses. Everything is high quality, well crafted, durable, and well, very hip.

I love that we have a local bag company in Pittsburgh. And this isn't just a store that sells bags, this is a shop that makes bags right in front of you by hand in their little downtown storefront. How cool is that? Very cool if you ask me! I found Moop years ago through a coworker in San Francisco who sent me an online link because she was looking for a sturdy bag that was also fashionable. Kinda crazy I had no idea they were based in PGH. Come to find out they had a warehouse in Carnegie at the time and were still cranking out bags by hand. Now they've just moved into a swanky storefront tucked into 1st Ave, but still the sewing machines are set up right in front so you can see their process. They're beautiful canvas bags in lots of different styles. I have a nice tote and a cute little wristlet that converts to a crossbody AND fanny pack if you want to be edgy! I'm drooling over their book bags currently. I bought a nice man bag aka a messenger bag for my husband for Father's Day and it was a big hit and he carries it to this day. They also sell some smaller gift items in their store like candles, cards and bath and body products. If you're downtown stop in and if you're not, make it a point to visit soon or order online!

Very cool and inspiring place. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly employee and the sound of sewing machines hard at work. Looking to the back of the store, you can see a row of sewing machines and designers working away right in front of your eyes. The store itself is modern, clean, and trendy; the items they sell reflect the same. Everything is locally made and the level of talent and creativity that went into the products is incredible. You would never know this store exists, as it's tucked back behind a building, off the main road. But I encourage people to go and check it out.
