The real problem here is the price gouging. It's almost 5 bucks for a tall can.
They're the only beer store on the Northside and they know it. I do the drive into town most of the time.

Was kicked out before closing because the unprofessional they had working felt like going home early. It's 10:19 and the clerk was smoking indoors and being extremely unprofessional as I tried to purchase. My hair reaked of cigarette smoke and I don't smoke. He said the time on the door and Google are wrong. Awful experience.

I can deal with walking past the drug dealers and dope fiends crowding the entrance. But customers bring fullsize pitbull fighting dogs into the store. A tight cramped area. Something's bound to happen. I raised my concern to someone who is a manager and they were very dismissive/rude and just said "were dog friendly". Well apparently their not customer friendly. F this states alcohol sale laws. I wish I could just go to any other gas station or 7-11 to buy beer like I could in New York. But I'll just keep risking my safety for now because it's my only option. When there's no giant fighting dogs in the store within biting reach, I have no complaints, hense 2-stars instead of one.
