I am technically challenged. Given that I would like to thank the staff at PNC Lawrenceville branch. I had some problems and the young woman, Maria was so patient with this Great Gramma.

I have been a customer of PNC's for decades and as a bank, I am extremely happy w the service I receive by phone and with my personal financial serviceperson. This review is just for this particular branch. If you have a basic deposit or withdrawal, the tellers can do that. But anything remotely complicated, the tellers will screw it up. On any given day the tellers are 1) chatting between each other to the point that you feel like you're being intrusive for deigning to go up to conduct business, 2) deer in the headlights like it's their first day and they have no clue, 3) if you're getting cash back, say $40 and you ask for a twenty, ten, five, and five singles instead of the two twenties they got out, and the obvious disgust for this not very special request. Type number 4 is the worst, though: the Nosy Nellie. I went to get a cashier's check to close on some real estate. The teller asked me if the amount of the check was the sales price, where the property was located, if I was moving into that house. I finally had to say I don't feel comfortable answering these questions, and NN became a big grump. In a word, don't go unless you absolutely have to, like the ATM is down and you need to make a deposit or get cash.

I made an appt with Olivia today to open a bank account today. I was running a few minutes late due to traffic. I walked into the bank and the security guard said hello. There were no other customers visible in the entire lobby of this bank. I told the security guard I had an appt with Olivia and asked where I would find her. The security guard said she was in the middle glass cubicle. I walked over to that cubicle where two other ladies were in the cubicle with Olivia. It appeared they were just chatting and laughing. So, I walked over and asked if any of them were Olivia. The other two ladies started walking out when Olivia stood up and instead of addressing me as welcome to PNC how can I help you, I was directed to take a seat in the lobby. She was not polite. I advised her I had an appt with her to open an account and asked how long It was going to take. She responded at least an hour. I told her I only had 30 mins and she told me it was going to take 45 mins to just open an account. So, she was going to make me wait in the lobby I guess for 15 mins. I didn't have time to go wait in the lobby by this unprofessional Olivia and there was no way I would ever put my money in this bank. I walked out to my Jeep, started writing this when I decided to just leave. However, I backed up from my parking spot and started to leave when I decided someone like a GM should be advised as to why they just lost a great customer to their bank. So I went into the bank and was now greeted by Sharyn a branch sales and service associate. Sharyn advises me that there was no longer a Branch Mgr at this location and that I could file my complaint with her. She also advised me that I was partially over the line in the handicap parking.....my bad for that! So, anyway, and I mean anyone looking to choose a bank, I would stay far far away from PNC!!!!

Terrible service everytime. The tellers usually ignore you or have some attitude problem.

All banks conduct legalized fraud, but PNC does it under the radar. This review has been a long time coming, but unfortunately, you won't care what I say until it happens to you. :) Let's start with ATM's, you wanna use one? Then you better use a PNC or an extra $2.50+ fee will be added on top of what ever the other ATM charges you. That's right, lets say your in Tokyo (only 1 bank in the heart of Tokyo will accept your card anyway, all others will fail ) and they say $5.00 fee (in Yen), well PNC will tag on their own $2.50+ just because they can. What dicks you say? well let me also say another thing about international travel. DON'T USE YOUR PNC CARD INTERNATIONALLY. PNC uses Visa which they decided to set a 3% charge too. So spend $100 PNC will take $3, ON EVERY PURCHASE. My previous international travel bank Fidelity has since sold out, but before they only charged a 1% fee. Before you laugh and giggle about pocket change then picture this. International at that you can only pull out up to $200 from, sub-track 10% (3%+ ATM Fees) of that and realize that it goes directly into the pockets of your financial institution, of which your money is supposed to keep afloat while they rob you blind any which way they can. Sheetz ATM surcharge free? Think again, Sheetz won't charge you, but PNC will. .

I walk by here often, and the outside has never been unkempt whenever I've strolled by.

Heads up: I haven't been in this location and don't even do my banking with PNC, so don't put much weight on this comment. (I wouldn't if I was looking for a place to handle my money.) This place is a neighborhood eyesore - has to be the filthiest bank branch I've ever seen. PNC is reasonably profitable, so why can't they spend a little cash to clean up their parking lot, plant some new trees (they let the current ones die), and pick up the thousands of cigarette butts from the front of their building? I'm not asking for a renovation of the place, but a bank building should inspire confidence in what they're doing inside. I wouldn't trust these guys with the bowl of pennies on my dresser.
