Pnc bank as a business is the absolute worst. Customer service is totally incompetent. I've hung in there with this bank as long as I could. The system here is ridiculous if you have any type of issue. I've had 3, and I can tell you this- no one seems to know what they are doing, ugh. Needless to say they are no longer my bank

Kinda tired of having tellers asking me why im exchanging 20's for 100's. Everytime I go to other banks to make change or exchange denominations, I don't get asked why im making that transaction. I give them my pnc card, asking for change and they always ask why......sorry but it's not there business.

Today I came in to speak about loans. When I entered I was attacked by front desk lady with so many questions about loans even letting me speak to any branch agent. It's not the professional approach to the customer.

After a week without my charge card I got a call from people in my condo in Florida that FedX left an envelope on the walkway in front of my door. I ask a friend to open it and there were my charge cards. So now they said they would overnight then to the branch office. It's 1:30 on Saturday and the bank closes at 2:00pm and still no charge card. THE INCOMPETENCE IS UNBELIEVABLE!!! I'm so finished with this Philadelphia Bank. Ever since they moved their headquarters to Philadelphia the service is terrible in Pittsbugh So after three days of trying to find out where the contents of my safety deposit box are, Margret at PNC Virginia Manor is getting them to me on Wednesday. I believe they are sending them VIA FedX to the branch office from their office on 1st Avenue. Imagine my valuables being delivered by FedX. So much for keeping my valuables safe. And PNC started charging preferred customers for their Safety deposit boxes.... I guess this is what happens when banks get too big, customer loyalty is gone. I wonder if they realize the government bailout was from the taxpayers. I have never experienced such a nightmare as I have with PNC. First they closed 5th Avenue branch where I had my safety deposit box while I was in Florida. Everything they said didn't happen. It took a week for PNC to find my valuables and the they sent it FedX. IMAGINE MY VALUABLES BEING SENT FEDX. My second nightmare is with my charge cards. My cash rewards card expired when I was in Europe. My mail was being forwarded so I didn't get my new card. The agent was very nice and when I told her my cash builder card is also expiring before I get back home she said she can take care of it now. She said I didn't qualify for overnight to the branch office and she couldn't send it to a temporary address, but she would mail it to the branch close to my second home. Then to my surprise she said I couldn't use my present card. I told her it was 4th of July weekend and I needed my card. She said it couldn't be reversed. I had to go until the following Thursday without a charge card. Imagine my surprise when my condo manager called me and said they were laying on the walkway at my condo in Florida. I was assured they were being overnighted to my branch in Pittsbugh. Surprise it didn't happen. So this is my 11th day without my charge card I used everyday. If you had told me a year ago PNC Bank would be so incompetent I wouldn't have believed it. I ask to file a complaint and Victoria Raymond called me after 7:00pm when I was out to dinner and left a message to reply with a good time to call. I replied, but, never got another call. So now I have to find and apply for new charge cards, have my pension and SS chanced to a new bank. I will have to have all the automatic payments changed to my new bank. I will close my money market, savings and checking. I have no choice as I can't bank where I can't trust them with my safety deposit box or to supply me with a charge card. PNC is totally incompetent and after years of banking I'm taking the advice of all the employees at The Virginia Manor Branch and leaving PNC.

If I could give zero stars, I would! This is a weird story but it is true. Almost 4 years ago, I went with my mother to open up an "Express Box" which is a type of safe deposit box but it is not located in the vault. It is in the bank's lobby and accessed by one key -- the renter of the box -- and no assistance from a bank employee is needed. About 1 month ago, PNC called to say that a man had the key for my mom's box; he apparently had previously rented the box and lost his keys (or didn't return them) when he closed the box. So, when this man went to PNC about a month ago with the "found" key, he emptied the contents of the box -- which contained my mother's jewelry, documents, etc. -- and took them home on a Saturday. That next Tuesday, he called the bank to say those items did not belong to him and he would come back to the bank with them. He returned to the bank on Thursday, with the items. PNC phoned me later that day -- Thursday -- to notify me of this irregularity. I immediately went into the bank to learn more and see my mom's belongings. I was told that since the bank manager wasn't there, I would need to speak to him the following day and I was given a shortened version of the story. I was very upset and confused by the whole scenario! I looked at the items that the man had returned to the bank, and the bank had inventoried these items on 2 sheets of paper. I did not have an inventory sheet of what we put into her box, so I didn't have anything to check it against -- lesson learned there. Always inventory the contents of a safe deposit box. Undoubtedly, PNC mishandled this entire situation, and there are many perplexing questions. How did this man have a key to my mother's box? If he had closed out the box and didn't return his key(s), PNC should have put a new lock on the box, with new keys. Why didn't PNC notify the renter of this box immediately after learning of this incident? Why did PNC allow this man to hold onto my mother's belongings after learning he was in possession of them? Why did PNC take inventory of these items without the owner of these items present? Why did PNC only offer to provide a $250 credit to my mother's account for a new safe deposit box rental for future years? I pursued this matter with Connie George, a representative from PNC "Office of the Customer"(quite the name, considering they did not look out for the customer in this case) and that was all PNC was willing to do. It is quite apparent that mistakes were made by PNC and protocols were not followed. I know that PNC tries to compete with other banks, and one would think it should be doing all it can do to uphold its reputation in the community. PNC failed us miserably and others should be aware of the situation and lack of responsiveness by PNC. I intend to report this matter to the appropriate banking authorities in the Commonwealth. Also, I intend to continue to inform community members through other forms of social media.

They were extremely helpful. This was my first time at this branch. And I definitely was left with a very good impression. It's always refreshing when you leave and you know that the people working actually care about what they do and they take pride in it. That really makes a business stand out.

The atm malfunctioned and ate $1000 in cash with no receipt. I have 24/7 support with other financial institutions like chase Bank, yet pnc has no support available at 8:15pm. Im sure they have video and checks and balances to see that the machine has an extra 1k in it. Will update this review tomorrow based on the resolution they provide. These should have been instant funds so anything that prolongs the resolution beyond 24 hours is unacceptable and I will be transferring all of my funds to chase and first national. This money was intended to to invest so every day costs me inflation and potential growth and dividends. Especially when this was deposited on a Sunday evening to be used at the open of the NYSE tomorrow morning. I am beyond disappointed with pnc for keeping my money with no option to report or question it until "Bank hours " which ALWAYS conflict with my work schedule since they are open a whole 8 hours... if that.

I have spent the last 3 weeks and countless hours trying to setup my online banking I transferred here. The left foot doesn't know what the right foot is doing and you will go in an endless loop of call circles where no one knows what is happening with anything. Do yourself a favor and stay FAR away from PNC.

The banker transferred an amount of money for a house downpayment to Canada. At least 3 mistakes were caught later and the money went through double exchange rate and came back. Over thousand dollars were lost. The banker and the manager blamed it all on me, only because I signed where they showed me to sign. They didn't apologize, lost money were not compensated. People who work there didn't even tell me about different less expensive option to do international wire transfer. The manager is the worst - she played stupid and didn't take any responsibility of her branch's error.

This has to be one of the worst PNC branches! I have no idea of why they work differently, or if it's just me getting treated differently but they have been a headache w every issue I have brought to them! Which had not even been on my behalf. The manager Amy is just ridiculous w her attitude which I will admit I gave the same attitude back. Sometimes I feel they forget that they are there to work and serve us as clients. Not one is doing favors here. The only reason why I was going to this branch is bc we recently moved but I rather take the ride to my old branch...smh.
