I have been dealing with some type of virus for almost a week. I called this morning and was seen even thoughI've never been to this office before. Jasmine and Jared Hassell were professional and pleasant. I would recommend this office.

I am currently dealing with the same things you see in so many of these low reviews. For the past two weeks, this practice has fumbled my prescription with my insurance causing me to be without medicine. They prescribed it wrong initially and when corrected did not follow through with the prior authorization and clinical criteria questionnaire.Using MyChart, I have contacted the office 5 times and have called into the office 3 times for this matter.I just want the medicine that I need to be well.Today I called and simply asked for a call back from doctor Kotha and was treated rudely. I asked for a manager and was hung up on.I called back and spoke with Raquel and asked to speak with a manager again because of how I was treated and was hung up on again.Again, I just want the medicine I have been prescribed. These people should not be in the business of patient care.

I had no idea that the overall practice was rated so low, but due to my experience with CRNP Crista Swenglish, it makes sense (I’m leaving my review here as well): I’ve been getting sick since January post Covid after having bloodwork and was diagnosed with a low white blood cell count, which is in my chart. I’ve had ongoing health issues all year long, and work for a hybrid company. This office refuses to sign my medical accommodation to work from home (which my employer allows) and lied saying “it’s illegal”, which it is not. I have an upcoming appointment with a specialist that Crista referred me to (without telling me first). She and the office manager lied saying that I don’t have a diagnosis, when it’s been in my chart since February. I continue getting sick on repeat. Avoid this office. They’d rather risk your health knowing you have a chronic issue than complete paperwork so that you can continue to safely work while you figure out a treatment plan.

This is by far the worst patient experience I've endured at AHN or UPMC! I had a 1pm appointment scheduled today for a new patient annual exam. Therefore, I arrived a few minutes early to check in. I immediately noticed the lack of professionalism as I heard one of the employees complaining in front of me about another patient. Once checked in, I sat and waited to be called. About 15 minutes went pass and I noticed two medical assistants come get other patients who arrived there AFTER ME! When I questioned one of the workers, she responded by saying they all get different patients based on the doctor so asked who I was there to see. Once I informed the worker I was there to see Dr. Kotha she just rolled her eyes and closed the door. I continued to sit another 10 minutes then heard another patient come in to see DrKotha too! That same ignorant woman came out to get her but still left me sitting!! At that point, I felt very disrespected so left. Before leaving, I let Amy at the front desk know how I felt but she could care less!! Did not ask if I wanted to re-schedule or speak to someone. Afterwards, I filed a complaint with AHN. NO WONDER THIS OFFICE HAS A 2 STAR RATING! NEVER VISIT!!

A member of our house has a prescription that we can't refill because this office hangs up or redirects us to a phone tree which never directs our message. We simply cannot get a response.9/8/23 Update: I stopped in to ask about the prescription. The office said they have no record of my calls, emails or messages via the pharmacy (their preferred method). I have timestamps of these calls and emails. They also said they sent letters and multiple calls - of which we have not received.Their suggestion is to use a new app to sync our current records to the old system/app, which I tried before my in-person visit. However the two accounts cannot "talk" to one another. There is no way to transfer the records from our side. The suggested step is to schedule an appointment to sync the records to the new app. Not so much a well-being doctor's visit, rather an appointment to roll over info to the new app? Can your records do that without our help? And did it really take my visit to learn this? Remember, just looking for a refill. So, zero communication, multiple apps that can't "talk" to one another, hang ups, theoretical letters and calls. Still no refill.

It's absolutely deplorable how long it takes to speak to someone in your OWN doctors office. I wish we had the options to go to any PCP of our choosing because I would find another company besides AHN to deal with. They NEVER answer the phones! You are forced to speak with their answering service and that service SUCKS! With all we pay for insurance, co-pays etc, you would think we would receive better customer service!

Called to get medical clearence for Mother on Catarat surgery in one eye. The office got clearence from Dr. and was to call or fax to Dr. Brown(eye Dr.) for clearence to do surgery. They claim to be sending it and I even gave them the fax number to send it to. Never received clearence from Primier office at all. Now we need a clearence to do second eye and I am getting run a round. They claim they need to research and call back. I am not confident in their office staff. Too many screw ups. Plus we are on our third Dr there. We wanted to move on from the place and they gave us a new Dr. But the problems with that office not knowing what they are doing is really unfortunite for that Dr. Moving on...

Trash. I called for a virtual appointment when I had COVID and they told me "sorry. There's nothing available.". Because clearly my health doesn't matter to them. Find a better place.

Made multiple calls and left multiple voicemails trying to get my yearly checkup that due to this I am extremely very overdue. They obviously don’t care about their patients. They never return any calls. I really liked the doctors here, but they simply don’t care.

I called this office a little before 3 PM to try to schedule an appointment to get tested for Covid and the flu it is now 430 and no one has returned my phone call. I’m really upset and not sure what to do I really don’t think I have Covid bc I’ve actually came in contact with someone who was flu positive. This establishment is not a tentative to your needs and concerns I’m looking for a new PCP ASAP

I'm getting real upset with the office. They keep getting my prescriptions incorrect. I've called in the last few weeks and still haven't got everything correct. I used a different doctor because mine was booked, also the staff has seemed to not be as mannerly as in the past. Real unfortunate I'm going to have to most likely switch doctors.

Frustrating. After using the pediatric group (Dr. Ubinger, Dr. White) for over 15 years, we try to get our daughter an appointment for what is clearly a non- COVID issue with her throat/chest. Office says "no in-person appointments". So we go to an out-patient center where a very nice nurse came out to the car and did some type of evaluation. And the answer was "wow, your throat is in bad shape, you should see a doctor!!!!!". Calling back to see Doctor and the answer is "sorry, we're not doing in person appointments". Beyond frustrating. My 86 year old mother can get an appointment with 20 different doctors in pittsburgh but this group won't see a healthy 17 year old who clearly does NOT have COVID. Won't even allow for an appointment with a recent COVID-negative test. FRUSTRATING!!
