I do not like to write negative reviews. I understand that working directly with the public can be challenging, but the phlebotomist I communicated with was rude. There was an issue with Quest’s check-in system, and I politely attempted to communicate that the patient next to me had the same appointment time as me, had arrived before me, and should be taken before me. I was met with a rude over reaction by a very feisty phlebotomist. She would not listen and it made everything worse. Her response was unnecessary and disrespectful. We all deserve better.

Had an appointment but something changed so I went early since they take walk ins. Signed in and wrote my appointment time because I thought it'd be helpful even though it was 90 minutes away (the touch screen was broken).
After several people who came in after me were called in before me, I checked the sign in sheet and saw I had been crossed off with no communication to me at all. So, I tried signing in again and just marked "no appointment - walk in" and the next time she came out she said "you don't have to keep signing in, I have you for your appointment" and I asked "sorry can I just sign in as a walk in since I'm so early?" and she said "yeah if that time didn't work for you you shouldn't have signed up for it".
I don't get it.

This was my first visit to this Quest location since the one closer to my house was booked up when I needed a last minute blood test before an infusion but this one had openings, which I reserved on line. I was worried about parking since it was located in a congested part of Oakland but it turned out to have abundant free parking. The facility is clean and well managed, I arrived 10 minutes early and checked in electronically, then was called exactly at my appointment time. The phlebotomist was friendly and very efficient -- I didn't even feel the needle and there was no bruising afterwards. My test results were sent to my doctor within just a few hours. As usual with Quest, excellent service! I wish the rest of the places and practitioners I have to deal with in my health care experiences were as well-run and treated their clients as respectfully as Quest Diagnosis always does.

The technician was very skilled, very fast, and very efficient in explaining all that she was doing. She was also very kind and helped me to totally relax.It was a very good experience!

The place is run down and long overdue for a compressive renovation. Not a welcome environment. Quest needs to cut their purse string loose and re-invest profits in their facilities.

The only snafu was that the day before I had gone to a Quest location close to home in Sq Hill that was locked up during what should have been hours of operation. No posted explanation. The next day I went to Quest Shadyside & it went smoothly, no wait for a walk- in ( I was lucky), pleasant & efficient. That made up for the disappointment the day before.

It was scheduled appointment but when I came in and checked in there were no one person and 2 technician. However, the lady took me 20 min later ( and 2 other people came right after me and have been waiting also)and when I was leaving of course there was a crowd of people . The girl was unfriendly, yawning all the time but at least didn't bruise me. Location is convenient, results are ready next day.

This is the first negative review that I have ever written. The phlebotomist was rude, disrespectful, condescending, & mean - all without me doing anything except politely answering her questions. When I left I wished her a good day & said that I hope that she is treated better than she treats people.

This was my first medical checkup after moving from Japan to Pittsburgh. This is my second time being stationed in the United States, and my impressions vary from week to week, but making reservations and checking in here was very easy. Although it was a Saturday morning, we had reservations so it wasn't too crowded, so it felt safe. The person who performed the inspection was very friendly and prompt, and his behavior was appropriate and I felt that he was a professional. It is also recommended for Japanese expatriates. We went by bus, and the location is convenient as it is close to the bus stop.

It was quick and easy. I got in and out in 15 minutes. There was no mask requirement.

Appointments are consistently taken late and some of the staff act like interacting with patients is an inconvenience. This location used to be great. Not sure what happened, but I would definitely recommend avoiding this one.

The rudest employee’s ever. They use to have two of the best workers here but ever since Lera and Damon have left it has gone down hill. The people who work here are miserable. Not helpful and just plan rude. I will never come back here. I would rather drive out of my neighborhood than come here and deal with these rude unprofessional people. Ladies if you hate your job so much, go somewhere else.
