Chef Jared is hard at work refining the experience at sienna mercado. We were pleasantly surprised at the service and dining quality during our visit about 2 weeks ago. We had a scallop app that was cooked and dressed perfectly. The staff were comfortably chatting with us and attentive the entire service. We did go on a very slow week day night so cannot comment on what the vibe would be like on a busier, weekend night. Definitely worth a visit!!

The sides were really small portions. Although interesting. We had the chicken katchatori pizza . Not impressed at all . .I only ate it because I was hungry didn't want to wait for anything else underwhelming . Our server fantastic. I went there wanting to eat under the glass roof. Which when I got there found out you couldn't order food up there . All in all it was ok and over priced. But with amazing service.

When in Pittsburgh . . . plan to have a meal at Sienna Mercato. A cool place if you're looking for good drinks and a bite to eat! This restaurant has three separate levels and each level has its own vibe - Emporio (snacky food), Mezzo (where we ate - small plates, pizzas, & entrees), and Il Tetto (cocktails). Whether you're looking for a cozy atmosphere or energetic ambiance, Sienna Mercato is a neat place to check out! What we ordered:-Burrata-Genovese-Polpette-Lavender Haze-Quattro Formaggi-Follow @centralpafoodie on Instagram for more PA food reviews & pictures!

First visit to Pittsburgh for my birthday and Sienna Mercado came highly recommended. Asked to confirm my reservation several times prior to dinner at Mezzo, 2nd floor. Music was very loud for an upper-scale dinner setting, but loved the wood beams and swine decor. Already out of two menu items, we first chose the 2/3 charcuterie (overpriced, but best thing we had all night), mushroom salad (arugula wilted, undressed), and the margarita pizza (mostly dough with a few sprinkles of raw tomato). We then waited, and waited…no main courses. Our waitress seemed to be avoiding us once she realized she forgot to place our mains. White bolognese ragu was disappointing and the vodka sauce was very bitter without all the vodka cooked out. No one seemed to care about us after that. No dessert or coffee offered, or apologies for the wait. Wished we would have saved our time and money and just chose our personal spaghetti bowls on the first floor. Bummer.

Overall great experience. Outstanding food menu and specials. It appeared as if the wait staff or kitchen was spread too thin. Our server was really hustling, but that didn't seem to help alleviate extended waits for service.

We were in town visiting family and decided to eat dinner at Sienna Mercato. The pizzas were so creative and delicious. They were made in the authentic neopolitan style. The Chef was so nice, he said hello to our group and even made a special dish for our table. The Caesar salad was the best I've ever had, and the pastas on the menu looked so good. This place is a must if you are in downtown Pittsburgh and want authentic Italian cuisine.

The atmosphere was great but unfortunately the food was not. The pizza was very oily and lukewarm at best. The fried zucchini had no flavor. The drinks were good. But for the price, I was really disappointed with the food.

The concept of this place is cool with the different floors being different restaurants. Went to emporio on the first floor and ended up sitting at the bar because it was busy. The food was tasty, the bartender kept the drinks filled and had some great one liners. Will certainly return!

We've been coming for years and this was the first time we were disappointed in everything we ordered and our service. The new arugula salad was a disappointment compared to the old recipe which we loved so much we would come back just for the salad alone. Both of our steaks were extremely fatty almost inedible, the broccolini was nearly raw and cold, and the overall service was just not up to par with previous visits. The zucchini appetizer also changed from crispy rounds to sad thin soggy planks and the portion size was about 2/3 smaller. I'd say that the changes made recently are not for the better and we probably won't return again, this went from being one of our favorite places to one of the most disappointing meals we've had dining out.

My group looked at reviews before going to this restaurant. We trusted the reviews which is why I feel this deserves a real honest review. This restaurant is average, nothing above. The food was okay. One member of our table had their order come 10 minutes later than the others, very hot but the earlier ones were not. Buffalo fried chicken balls were good but we deemed it was the only item worthy of the listed price.Parking: Parking was 12 minute walk away from restaurant. Walk wouldn’t have been so bad If it wasn’t snowing but closer parking would be better.
