I'm always nervous ordering flowers in another country, you never know what you'll get, but got such a lovely bunch of flowers delivered on time to my sister. A company you can trust to give beautiful flowers when you can't do it in person.

So helpful and accommodating. I ran in half an hour before closing the day before Thanksgiving and they helped me put together a beautiful bouquet. Reasonably priced, beautiful flowers, and also great service.

Such a wonderful business! I ordered an arrangement at 3:56 and it was delivered before 5:00. It is gorgeous, just what I requested. I will definitely use Squirrel Hill Flower Shop again ?

BEWARE! If you order flowers as a gift for someone, they will be told that the quality of your gift will only be assured for 24 hours from delivery.My partner ordered 12 long-stem roses to be delivered to our place in Shadyside on my birthday at a cost of $100. We generally look to support local businesses directly rather than use online or 1-800 services that take a share of the amount paid. His experience in the shop was pleasant and he left feeling good about his decision.The flowers arrived on schedule on my birthday and the bouquet looked great when it arrived. Each long-stem rose had a hard wire wrapped around it--presumably to keep it standing upright--which does detract from the natural beauty of the roses, but we went with it.It wasn't a day later that one of the roses was fully drooped so I just removed it from the bouquet and it still looked great. Over the following 48 hours 6 additional roses drooped. (We have better luck with bouquets from the supermarket at a small fraction of the price!) I called the shop to let them know and the woman who took my call--she said she is the owner--was very rude, informing me that on delivery we were handed a green receipt that indicated they only have a 24-hour guarantee. Apparently customers are informed of this 24-hour limit at the time of delivery and not at the time the order is placed--this is probably because most recipients of flowers are going to be hesitant to involve the gift giver when something goes wrong with an order because they don't want to appear ungrateful.After the owner informed me of this 24-hour limit, I let her know that I am a lawyer and understand my rights. My partner's purchase cannot be limited after the fact with a slip handed to the recipient of the order when delivered. He had every reasonable right to expect a $100 bouquet would last a week or more. I let her know that she could either issue a refund or we would contest the credit card charge and ultimately take it to small claims if it came to that. The owner did then agree to refund my partner's credit card for the order, and they sent a driver to pick up the flowers and take them away.All to say you might be better off just picking up a dozen roses from Whole Foods or Trader Joes and giving them to your loved one! And if you are not local and trying to have flowers delivered beware that this shop is ready to deliver subpar flowers and claim they were only guaranteed for 24 hours.

There were problems with delivery, but I came in. They rectified the situation and gave my daughter her own little stuffed animal and added another dozen roses. They also gave my daughter her own personal rose!

I called the Squirrel Hill Flower Shop to order 25 single flowers for senior recognition, which happened to be the next day. It was really late for that order, but they did everything they could to make my order ready. Next day I was able to pick up beautiful single red roses with bits of green, tissue and ribbon. The roses were fresh and beautiful. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I am very happy to have choosen Squirrel Hill Flower Shop. The first time I ordered was in person, were this time I did it online. Easy online transaction and when I call to check, the flowers were already on their way. They put special attention to details and that makes it special. The flowers arrangement did "the magic". Thank you for your great service.

I ordered the Together at Twilight vase for a friend's funeral. When I went to the funeral home that night, I naturally looked for it. When I saw what was delivered, I was angry and embarrassed! I understood when I ordered, that they may not have the exact flowers (which makes no sense to me, if your advertising, with pictures!) I went with the larger vase opposed to the small and medium one, which cost me $80! I understand if you don't have all of the exact flowers, but the least they could have done was add more filler, to make up the lack of flowers! The flowers advertise were Violet in color, and there wasn't even one of them! The whole vase was done in pink!! Honestly, the arrangement looked like something I could have thrown together with flowers from Giant Eagle or Walmart! I couldn't take a picture of it, due to how many people were there and would have been embarrassed to do so! This was my first time ordering from this shop and will definitely be my last! Wasn't worth $100.58 total they charge, with tax and delivery of $15!!! If I had to guess, it was $20 worth of NO Flowers! And some of them, including the fillers, were already wilting!! Never again will I order from them, unless I get a partial refund, at the least....

I wanted to “WOW” my daughter for her 38th Birthday at her Fiancée’s family reunion at the Courtyard Marriott at the Waterfront with a bouquet so fabulous everyone who saw it would be filled with the abundance of love I have for her. So, I researched local Florists who I thought I could trust with this task, so I purchased the PREMIUM bouquet. Instead my daughter sent me photos of an embarrassing display that looked like I bought from a grocery store for $20 and “arranged” myself as a sorry amateur. There was no design to this arrangement, no variations in height to highlight the most luscious blooms, the vase was tiny compared to the images on the website. On this FB page I can see other very beautifully designed boutiques worthy of the PREMIUM label and price…but me…my daughter got this…take a look and compare. Were they intentionally taking advantage of me as an out of state customer????

My brother and I were in Pittsburgh to lay our father to rest at our grandmother's grave and family plot in Homewood. We stopped in Ronna's shop just after open for a last minute bouquet to place at our family's plot. Ronna was so incredibly kind, matched our budget, and created a beautiful arrangement in a few minutes. And she sympathized with our request with a beautiful family story of her own that has similarities to our family's Pittsburgh story. Unfortunately, I don't regularly frequent Pittsburgh, Shadyside, Squirrel Hill or Point Breeze, but Ronna will be my go to person for sending flowers to my family plot in my absence. Thank you Squirrel Hill Flower Shop for taking care of my brother and me today with warmth and compassion.

$50 dollar flowers sent a block away (also paid full delivery charge) for a birthday were pathetic; looks like they came from the Giant Eagle but worse. Very disappointed

I don't normally order flowers but I had a friend that had surgery so I got flowers from squirrel Hill flower shop since it was by her and the flowers that I ordered I thought we're going to be similar to the website which I learned you cannot go off the pictures of the website Rhonda taught me something you are much better off speaking to people at the actual shop and not going from the website so thankfully after speaking to her she fixed my problem and I give squirrel Hill flower shop five stars they do have beautiful flowers and great quality flowers and she takes pride in which she does it's a family-owned shop and they do great a great job

I paid almost $90 to have a Christmas centerpiece sent to my friend at an assisted living facility near the shop. I heard nothing from her. Then, I got an email from her daughter saying that my friend loved the amaryllis bulb which had been delivered to her but there was no name on it so she didn't know who sent it. I understand that there have been supply side difficulties BUT what was sent was far from being worth $90 AND I was not informed about the substitution. Also, I had sent a message to be delivered with the flowers but none was delivered. I would have rated this a zero, but apparently the amaryllis bulb is quite pretty. But don't think I'll be ordering from them again.

This place is a disgrace. I ordered flowers for my mothers funeral and what they delivered to the funeral home should have never left the shop. Dead flowers so sparse. Of course I called the next day, horrible customer service. I am so disappointed, this was flowers for my dead mother. These are horrible horrible people
