This ups store ID not a real ups store you try to mail something to a customer using a prepaid qr code and they can't do that there. Then the incompetent clerk female did not properly try to help me she gives me a card on how to print a label which is absolutely insane considering they won't scan a qr code but they will let u print a label and mail. She told me it would be 35cents and I didn't bring my waller considering I have a qr code well its not 35cents it requires a card to scan for 5$ for them to just put on hold. She was willing to give me a card for a 1$ but not 5$ which is unbelievable they weren't even going to charge it just needed the card to print one lil label. It was like she was enjoying this. This store is a non ups store so they should not have ups store on their name. Why say ups when you can't even mail with a ups qr code. Go to the one in Oakland. Not staples eastliberty they are non helpful and completely insensitive to my situation I run a business and have time for a joke of a ups store. Whomever is in charge needs to figure it out cause it's not working. Other places like usps are sending customers like me to staples cause they have no idea they are fakes they scan qr codes all day but for different companies except ups. I will continue to write bad reviews cause business owners like me can't afford to sit thru traffic and go to a ups store they can use a qr code at. She could have easily taking a prepaid card and put 5$ so I could print my label for 35cents. My bad for forgetting my wallet but this was on them to provide customer satisfaction. They give u a card with instructions dont explain it and walk away. Should be ashamed of themselves. Penn avenue target ups store at 5pm March 11th 2025.
I wouldn't even give them a 1star. I'm not dissing staples themselves just the ups store inside.

A lot of their business printing is outsourced, which is hidden from the consumer and is super inefficient. I had to make numerous visits for simple corrections to business cards -- corrections which had to be emailed off to who knows where -- and oddly I had to be present for all this and to actually place the order, should the issues ever be resolved, which by now had become weeks and weeks of back and forth. The problem was the "creative consultation" of this outside company, which did third-grader level work at best -- just so unprofessional. I cancelled the order all together as it became clear to me, "Run, don't walk" from this place. Staples also does the thing where prices online are different from those at the store, and you have to do the lookups on your phone and the coupon dance -- BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES. Where are our state and federal watchdogs for this kind of nonsense? Anyway, add Staples to the watchlist for future Chapter 11 filings. Their corporate leadership has turned the stores into third-world, open-air bazaars where the price is never really the price and you're always getting it in the shorts, regardless.

Its no wonder the rating for Staples in East Liberty is below satisfactory. Alex, in your East Liberty store this afternoon just missed the mark entirely understanding. Instead, made excuses as to an inability to complete and resolve the customers issue. Lack of understanding being a part of an organization regardless if in office or not. No follow up communication if by chance their in office email fails to send an email; ie., call the customer- you have the phone number. Not acknowledging missed opportunities in a design to complete for printing flyers based off initiated design. Maybe retraining this associate is immediately needed.

I went to send a package back via USPS. I needed the label printed as I do not have a printer. When I returned same thing last week in Aspinwall I sent the return email tag to their store printer and the guy behind the desk retrieved it and put it on the box and I was done! So I was expecting the same experience in the East Liberty store. I went to the counter ready to email the tag and the girl behind the counter gave me a card as to where to send the email to. So I did that as she walked away. I stood there for about 5 min and someone said I needed to do this at the printers over there. And I had to send an email to get a code then do something else. So I went to the printers and I was not getting a code. All I got was frustrated so I waited in line again and told the girl I could not get a code. She said let’s try this another way because sometimes the email doesn’t work. So I tried to save the document to a file and attach it to another program. Well I could not find the file after I saved it. The young lady said let’s have a look to see if we can figure this out another way. I said I am done trying to figure this out and I left. I went to the Aspinwall store and it was done in less than 2 min. Your process to make a simple return turned into a time consuming frustrating experience. Why is it so easy at one store and so awful at the other.

On October 9, 2024, I visited Staples at 6375 Penn Ave, Suite B, Pittsburgh, PA, and had a smooth and efficient shopping experience. I purchased a few essential items, including:
- 16x16x16 Square Box for $5.00
- Staples Biodegradable Packing Peanuts for $6.69
- Two 2x22 Clear Packing Tapes at $0.46 each
- Staples 3/16 Bubble Wrap for $9.49
The store was fairly stocked, and I found the alternative item I needed for packaging and shipping. As the primary items sought were not in stock. The cashier was quick and friendly, but wanted to charge an additional fee for bags. The total came to $23.65, including Pennsylvania sales tax. I happened to stop by because Staples was the closest office supply store at the time, and I was pleased with how quickly I was able to find what I needed.

Went in tonight to print something off an email. I told the Spanish lady if she could help because I don't have a computer don't use them and am 60 years old . She hands me a sheet of paper told me to just put in the staples address and I would get a code go to the copier and just print . No one was in line and even though her attitude from the beginning sucked I ignored it and tried to do it . I couldn't get it to work so I went back and asked for help . Her demeanor was terrible just the disgusting look on her face was terrible. She came over I told her what I did and it didn't work and she said we don't work with phones so I don't know what to tell you just keep trying it so I told her her she couldn't even help for one minute and walked the hell out . This happened on Nov 25th at 5:15 . I own two restaurants and a construction company and if any of my employees just gave one of my customers one look like she gave me they would be fired on the spot . Absolutely pathetic. Never will come back to and Staples. I wouldn't even give one star
