I visited this hotel to go to a magic show. I didn’t stay here but the bar and theater area were both lovely. All of the staff that I interacted with were very friendly and helpful.

Gorgeous historic building. Beautiful entry area. Check in on second floor. Very wonderful service. Everyone I spoke to went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and relaxing. My room was very clean and quiet.Rooms: Rooms are well kept and very clean. Includes blow dryer, extra toiletries, iron w/ironing board, and refrigerator. Shower head was large and there was plenty of hot water. Plenty of outlets, both regular plugs and USB.Safety: Elevators require key card to access guest rooms

Honestly, I think the fact that the room walls were dark gray is part of the reason I’m giving it three stars. In a city that’s overcast most of the time, a gray room is just a downer. My fault for not checking ahead of time. Location is nice, but I just felt like I didn’t want to be in the room.

An exceptionally restored hotel with friendly staff and great rooms. The history of the building is very cool and the location is great. An easy walk to Market Square. Valet parking really helps and is very quick.

This hotel is Great, but the service is EXCELLENT. The ladies at checkin are superb and specifically, Declan is over and above. He’s observant to the guests’ needs. The whole experience was great.Safety: Need a key to go to guest room level.

Could be great if they tighten up. Rooms are pretty unique but was not cleaned well. Food crumbs on the carpet and my wife found a used contact lens on the floor. Cool common areas and bars on site. Solid location close to a parking garage if you don't want to valet.Rooms: Room was small and set up a little different than you are used to but not bad. Housekeeping was spotty at best.

I did not get a chance to stay here and never will! This hotel stole my money. When you book with them, ensure nothing occurs where you cannot go. I booked a room. I canceled the room a week in advance. The hotel would not give me my money back for anything! The hotel would not budge. I even asked for a credit to stay here. I never received my money back. I still had time to cancel the room for the room to be refundable. I would be stupid to cancel a room and lose money, knowing I would lose money. The hotel staff is persistent that I knowingly gave them my money. The hotel got away with stealing my money, booking the same room I had never stayed in to someone else, and giving me nothing in return for it (all unfair and unjust enrichment). These unfair events occurred because of some bogus, unfair, unjust policy the hotel allegedly has. I strongly recommend staying at another place that is not so greedy! I will never do business with them because they are not forgiving! I encourage you to consider your travel plans because they will do you the same way they did me! Stay elsewhere that is more accepting of things that come up.In response to your comment below:Your comment adds and confirms the unfairness of your practices. This post I made serves the purpose to detour travelers from your unfair practices. Hopefully another “future” customer will see this and see how you responded and stay elsewhere.

It's such an amazing hotel. Our stay was absolutely fantastic. The views of the city were epic. Everything was in new condition and stunning. We look forward to returning here on our next visit to see our Steelers! We arrived about 2 hours before check-in, and the young lady got us right in our room like it was nothing. The service here is impeccable! They do have a restaurant on property as well, which we really enjoyed. There are several other restaurants, all within a 2 minute walk of the hotel. So plenty to see and do for everyone.See you next year...GO STEELERS!!!Rooms: The rooms are very well thought out and have amazing finishes.

We got a handicapped room and the shower flooded the whole bathroom. We needed to use extra towels to stop the water. We were gone all day and housekeeping never came. We had to have them come at like 3 or 4 pm to bring new towels and toilet paper. The valet service was excellent! They were quick and super helpful!Walkability: It was in a great location to walk around!

We often come to downtown Pittsburgh for shows, events, or just a weekend getaway and always stay at Bonvoy properties. This was our first time at the Industrialist. Two nights just celebrating Valentines Day. The hotel is very nice; our room was very clean and comfortable. The valet was very courteous and convenient for taking care of our vehicle. Trying to find parking downtown is usually difficult. Check in was fast (we checked in earlier on the Bonvoy app) and got lucky with an upgrade from a Queen to a King corner room. This hotel was very convenient to the activities we had planned and also has a cozy bar/restaurant (the Rebel Room) street level on the first floor. The lounge on the 2nd floor was very spacious and the fitness room had everything you would expect in a hotel gym. Overall, we were very pleased and would definitely stay here again.Rooms: Not huge, but perfectly adequate for my wife and I.Walkability: Conveniently located downtown. Within walking distance to numerous sites and activities.Food & drinks: The Rebel Room had good food and drinks.

Check in was too easy. Everyone was incredibly friendly from valet to front desk to Rebel Room when I called to place a dinner order. There’s ample parking around if you would rather not pay for valet. Like others mentioned, the rooms are small but that’s typical of historic building/hotels in the city. Rooms are nicely decorated, 24/7 gym was great and the 2nd floor lounge had a great vibe to relax in. This is definitely on my list of places to stay next time I’m in Pitt!

Made a reservation online on January 1, then spoke with an associate at central reservations to change it within the 24 hour cancelation period on January 2, and rebooked my reservation on January 2 for one day earlier with central reservations at the same time. I was charged for both nights. I have emails confirming all of this, yet weeks after attempting to resolve it via calls to the property directly and through Marriott Bonvoy's online form, I still have been charged for both nights. Called today and spoke with central office associate who reopened the case and escalated. I should hear back in 3-5 days. However, they shared how only the property can see the details and it will be the property who will respond directly to me. We shall see. I've attempted to reach the business or accounting office at the property on two occasions. Both times no one answered and the mailbox was full.I would advise NEVER to make any nonrefundable or pay in advance reservations with this property. The difficulty in resolving a disputed bill, which could be an honest mistake, is absurd. They're not living up to the expectations of a Marriott Bonvoy member and customer who travels to Pittsburgh regularly.Should the Industrialist fail to rectify the billing directly, I will be disputing via my credit card company. Rest assured, someone will be refunding my money. I have the receipts.
