My husband and I spent the last few days in Pittsburgh for his 40th birthday. I found The Parador Inn of Pittsburgh when searching for a place to stay near the stadium. I can’t say enough positive things about Ed, his beautiful dog (Rayzette), and the Parador Inn as a whole! Ed and Rayzette were so extremely friendly and welcoming; they made us feel at home from the moment we walked through the front doors. It’s clear to see that Ed takes pride in this gorgeous property, loves his adorable neighborhood, and genuinely enjoys sharing his knowledge with others. Our room was comfortable, clean, and felt so tropical. The Parador Inn is in a really great location, and close to many different attractions. Ed also prepares and serves a delicious breakfast each morning. (If you’re visiting in December, you’re going to feel as if you just walked into a Christmas Hallmark Movie, which is awesome in my opinion!) We can’t recommend The Parador Inn enough, and we hope to visit again in the future! Thank you for being such an incredible host, Ed; you and Rayzette are wonderful!!! ?

The Parador is a beautiful B&B. There is so much to see in the home if you appreciate restored buildings. Ed is a great host and provides a very comfortable stay with a very good breakfast and port to relax before bedtime. The rooms have everything you need to enjoy your stay. We will definitely go back when our travels take us to Pittsburgh.

We brought our bikes and walking shoes ... and the Parador was a great starting point for our 2-day exploration of Pittsburgh. The Inn is remarkably well maintained, and a fascinating structure and decor. Our host, Ed, provided us all we needed to feel at home and to appreciate both the Inn and Pittsburgh.I can't imagine looking elsewhere when staying in Pittsburgh.

Ed is a considerate and kind host who deserves the best in life. Please stay here instead of any hotel and enjoy personalized attention, an intimate breakfast, and the most kind and thoughtful host. The rooms are antique and clean, the toilet paper the best, and the outdoor space is gorgeous. Enjoy a stay that is Caribbean at core yet American in hospitality. Thank you!

If I could give the Parador Inn 10 stars I would. Ed's hospitality was outstanding and the pictures do not do the BnB justice. A Caribbean feel in downtown Pittsburgh. We will be back to The Parador very soon.

I booked a room for June 17th (the Taylor Swift concert weekend) on 11/2/22. I was super excited to stay here as it was close to the concert venue and the inn seemed very unique at the same time. Unfortunately, on May 18th (over 6 months after I booked) I received an email that my reservation was being canceled due to the business either being closed or sold, they weren’t consistent on that in the email. However, as I’ve yet to see that confirmed anywhere else on their social media I’m very doubtful that’s actually the case. It seems instead they don’t want to honor the price I originally booked at after seeing other hotel going rates and made up a reason to cancel our reservationAt this point it’s impossible for me to book anything else for that weekend so our plans are ruined and we’ll instead have to drive an hour after the concert is overThe location itself may be fine, but I won’t ever be giving any money to the owners after this and I can’t recommend anyone else does either

What a welcoming and relaxing spot in the middle of a big city! We loved Ed and Rayzette, his pup, and especially loved the relaxed vibe of this setting in a beautiful downtown neighborhood. Walkable to downtown fun, yet quiet in the gorgeous courtyard. It was perfect for a family wedding weekend!Food & drinks: Ed made a wonderful breakfast each morning served on China in a lavish dining room. It was fun to meet the other guests!

We never actually got to stay here, we booked a room 7 months in advance for a concert, and as we were checking in, we were informed we didn’t have a reservation anymore with nowhere to go. It appears the exact same thing happened to several people attending a concert a few weeks prior, according to reviews. Don’t waste your time.

Awful booking experience, I booked a room and was sent a confirmation. A week later the owner (Ed) calls to tell me he has to cancel my reservation because he already promised a room to someone else....I would not recommend booking here. Also to follow up the response below he never offered me another room option. I ended up booking at a Marriott property nearby that ended up being cheaper.

We had a beautiful, restful long weekend here. It's a stunning yet cozy property (including a great backyard patio), and very conveniently located. Parks, museums, neighborhood bars, and if you're a walker- just a stroll across the bridge into downtown. You have all the privacy you could want, and the host is lovely and very helpful. We sat with another couple at breakfast chatting until noon one day. It's refreshing to find a home away from home. We slept great, enjoyed the stained glass windows, and had a relaxing bubble bath. We'll plan to be back!Walkability: Easy parking but we're wanderers. Great tavern around the corner, gorgeous homes surrounding, and cute park down the street. We walked to museums and restaurants every day and strolled over the bridge to downtown easily.

This by far was probably one of the best places I have ever taken my wife on a trip to in our 16 years of being together. It was a breath of fresh air to be welcomed and given a lot of knowledge about the surrounding area. The personal touch of flowers in the room with a personal letter to us was a warm welcoming start. My wife loved the old Victorian decor. The peace and at home feeling made the night special to get away. We ate on the patio after walking to a nearby sandwich shop and enjoyed the lights of the courtyard. Then this morning when we came down for breakfast, it was by far one of the best breakfasts I have had in a while. The fresh fruit yogurt parfait was one of the best yogurts I’ve ever had. The pumpkin bread serve warm, was phenomenal, and the stuffed pancake and bacon was great as well. Ed and his beautiful lab was a great host and wish we could’ve stayed longer than one night. Hopefully we will get to come back again and stay and try another room and possibly bring some friends would recommend this place to anybody. Upon reading some of the negative reviews, he does not deserve the hate. The before 8 o’clock check in time is told to you upfront and is very worth making happen for this great stay.Nearby activities: Real close to the Pirates and Steelers stadium. Also close to a lot of great architecture and old buildings. We visit the national atrium and the science museums are not far either.Walkability: It is in the heart of Pittsburgh that you could walk to many places, no matter what you’re interested in.

An absolutely beautiful Victorian building magnificently decorated to the period and maintained extremely well. The owner (Ed) was truly a fantastic host who made sure that we had everything that we needed, accommodated our dietary restrictions, shared some very interesting stories and history about the house and the area, and provided us a delicious breakfast. My wife and I would DEFINITELY stay at the Parador Inn again, and would also highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful and comfortable place to stay in the Pittsburgh area that is close to a lot of attractions in a very cool part of town. Thanks Ed and Rayzette!

We loved our stay at the Parador! Found the spot looking for something close to be able to walk to the Stage AE where we went to a show and this spot was perfect. Ed was friendly, the place is absolutely beautiful, and we loved the fireplace in the room and how comfy the bed is. Would stay again!

Our family stayed the night at The Parador Inn. We had a restful sleep and comfortable accommodations. Shout out to Ed Menzer, Owner/Manager of this amazing Inn who provided us excellent service. Oh by the way, their breakfast was so flavorful and coffee was very good. I highly recommend this place to stay whenever you are in Pittsburgh.
