I visited the salon in Jcpenney Ross Park for the first time today and would recommend 10/10!!! I got an amazing cut and had a wonderful time:) I finally found somewhere that could give me the cut I asked for which is hard to find. I also discussed new color options with my stylist and the manager (who by the way had the most amazing red hair color) and will be setting up a color appointment soon. What a lovely and talented salon. I cannot wait For my next visit.

When I was at this location recently, the salon manager was very helpful with any and all questions/concerns I had. It’s rare I have other people other than my family do my hair. I was very appreciative of that. It was a good experience and I will definitely be back. I can’t remember her name but I think it started with an R….?

My wife and daughter got matching highlights and my daughter has never been happier. Stylist was excellent and everyone was very kind

Loved the service. It was my day off and i wanted to treat myself with fresh hair. I had a look I wanted and they delivered. I’m so glad I chose Jcp Salon @Rosspark Mall.

I highly recommend mouna she took her time paid attention to every little detail I have never seen a hairdresser so involved in their client and what they want she is the absolute best in 44 years I have never had my hair look as good as it did today thank you Mouna

I understand that everyone has to start somewhere but the lack of experience my stylist had led to me having a terrible experience. She colored my roots, and placed my light colored ends directly against the wet dark color creating patches. She was not comfortable, and left me in the chair for long periods of time without explanation. She then unfortunately did very choppy layering and ruined any chance of me keeping the length in my hair, I will have to cut it short to fix what she did. I won’t mention her name in this review because she acknowledged what she did wrong and did not charge me, but I feel that this review is necessary and I hope management takes time to train these stylists correctly to avoid future incidents like this one.

PJ is the best!! She takes her time & shows you color swatches to be sure exactly what you want - does gorgeous highlights. Couldn't ask for any better ❤️

Looks like its hit or miss depending on who you get.My first time there yesterday for a simple trim and clean up. Was there for an hour, sat me back down to fix it once, cost me $35 and I gotta fix it again next day.Couldnt even tell you her name b/c she was silent the whole time.The other stylist was super personable and her customer was in and out before me with no issue.

Since my location of work changed from PGH to N. Hills again, I returned to In Style at Penneys in Ross Park Mall ... my stylist who was formerly there before she resigned to have a baby was Nicole and she is wonderfully skilled and excellent in all services I required ... when I returned for services after using my other PGH salon for the works while working in PGH, I hired Ed to do my hair because I wanted a stylist like my PGH stylist who is a senior stylist. Ed was very good and made some adjustment to my root color as I wished to change it and highlighted and cut my hair to my great satisfaction. Due to the aging process of colored and highlighted hair, I choose only to get my hair the works every 6 months and with Ed, this was made possible, as little highlights makes my hair wilt by end of 4 months of color and highlight grow-out at the root but Ed managed to diagnose my hair type well and used extra highlighting to keep it going for 6 months, which allow me to avoid thinning hair common with aging and overprocessing. I have decided to utilize his services, even if relocating (my job requires flexibility to locations) as he is saving me alot of time with hair that is growing out from its root and highlight color over time and all I need do is use root color spray to cover up the 2 inches of root showing in 4 to 6 months or so, until I can see him again for his services. His cuts are great too (my hair cut is a bob with little lift at ends, and with bangs, as that style has the longest ability to withstand 6 month waits between coloring appts.) and I can trim my bangs when they grow into my eye without horrible results of my own incompetence with sissors! Go with Ed, if you are like me and conserving the quality of your hair due to aging and thinning with only 2 appts. per year.

I received the worst hair cut of my life here. My hair was butchered. One side was a good 3 inches shorter than the other side and was so badly uneven I had to get my hair cut up to my chin to get it fixed by another salon. I’ve tried calling the salon manager and have not received any communication back. I wanted my hair down to my shoulders and I now have hair up to my chin. I guess at least one side isn’t to my shoulders and the other is up to my chin.

My hair is butchered. One side is a good 3 inches shorter than the other and is not at all what I asked for. I wanted my hair to be shoulder length and one side is up to my chin, the other is closer to my shoulder. And I am not exaggerating unfortunately. I have to go get it fixed today and my hair has to be chopped off to fix it because it is so many different lengths. I cried all day after getting it done and have never hated how I look more. Do NOT go here unless you want a horrible haircut.Service: Haircut

The first bad haircut i received i went down to supercuts for them to fix it. I didnt complain..maybe it was an off day which happens. Supercuts cut the way i requested WHICH i did ask the JC Penney stylist to do the first time. I willingly tried the salon again and the cut is not what i requested. The stylist, english was not her primary language which means i couldnt convey what cut i was looking for. I will be looking for a new salon. Be prepared to have your call not answered...it took 7 Xs calling to get through to a person.
