I Visited this Tj Maxx today and I had a return without a receipt on the back of the receipt. It says you can return any item as long as unused and unworn, and with the tags after 30 days for merchandise credit, there is no other restriction on the back of the receipt or on the TJ Maxx website upon approaching the counter I am greeted by cashier 0087 I only had three items to return without a receipt from the start. This interaction was horrendous as she was looking at the clothes as if they had been used Or there was something wrong with the items she kept looking at them multiple different angles to the point it was embarrassing she was looking up the items With a scanner of some sort And I’m not sure what the issue was because they never explained it correctly When she called her manager to help her, he said everything was fine and that I would be able to get a return from my items. Then she continued to try to find reasons to not return it for the price that the TJ Maxx ticket had, At this point, I was just aggravated their policy is if you don’t have a receipt you get a merchandise credit as long as they can scan my id which is the first thing I did hand her my id. When I am asking what the issue is and as to why I can’t return to something She couldn’t give me a valid reason she literally was stumbling and making up things That made no sense as to why I couldn’t return my items, I spend thousands of dollars a year here at the store To be treated like this, I’m not really sure if it was discrimination or if this lady was just having a power trip But TJ Maxx, your employees need to do better or re write what is on the back of your receipt. This cashier even had an issue with something I had Receipt for it was a shirt I never wore, Still had the tags, And the receipt was from about a year ago, No where in their policy does it say you can’t Return an item from a year ago. It wasn’t a holiday item. It was just a shirt I never wore. Even the manager couldn’t come up as to why it couldn’t be returned, Eventually, they returned my items, but I spent about 10 -15 minutes going back-and-forth with them to the point I left my cart there because I was so aggravated. I have never had such a idiotic experience as I just did I understand they have pressure due to the holidays But One don’t take that out on your customers and hire people with better customer service skills who actually know the policies And can explain correctly why something can’t be returned if it hasn’t been used and it still has tags. Needless to say, I will not be coming back here!!!

I was trying on earrings with a very helpful sales lady and I left my own earring on the counter. I called and the manager overnighted me my earring since I live out of town. They were so nice about it, and even called to give me the tracking number. Above and beyond customer service here.

I went to Tj maxx in Freeport bought hair straightener and eyebrows pencil, I asked the cashier can I return them if I did not like them she she said she just keep the receipt. Came home tried them did not like them . Went after 2 days to Tj maxx in Robinson Township , said to the cashier want to return these 2 items she said why did you use them ؟ I said yes , she said no return then but let me talk to our supervisor. Here comes Heather the supervisor she said no return. I told her the hair straightener broke my hair I tried one Piece , and I asked do you return clothes? She said yes I said doesn’t make sense you let people wear after each other but not use item used on their here so ridiculous. Se was very rude. Instead of saying ok I will let it go one time bc you did not know and give a store credit she did not return my stuff. I went to different Tj maxx they returned my stuff and the lady was very nice to me all she said some time we buy straighteners and it is not hot enough and she smiles. Guys I am telling you promise you I will never go back again to Tj maxx in t Robinson Township again. They do not return make up or hair products and besides that they do not know how to treat their customers. I wish I can give them zero star . I will give it to them here . 0 ⭐️
