Dealt with Robert Rank and his team for the recent purchase of a home with my fiancé and they were great. Robert walked us through everything we needed to know as first time home-buyers and the types of loans available and how each loan was structured. Helped us in selecting the most appropriate one for our situation and was with us every step of the way. His team was always available to answer our questions and provided an effortless experience clean into closing. I would highly recommend working with Mr. Rank and his team.

DO NOT USE UNIONS SAVINGS BANK. My home was appraised at $ 170k in 2018 and again at $ 190k in November of 2020. Unions Savings Bank sent an appraiser out that valued the home at $ 140k in a surging market. The appraiser did not use comps in the same neighborhood. They clearly do not do their due diligence in hiring appraisers. When the appraiser admitted to his mistake - the bank still refused to refund my $ 250 fee. STAY AWAY from Unions Saving Bank.

I heard horror stories about this bank. DO NOT USE for refinancing. They run a shady operation here...

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!We went with them because of their blanket loan program. We were told that after our old home sold it would be 30 days to convert to our final mortgage. We closed on our new house early June, closed on old house July 1. It took until the end of November to do our final close. It took so long they lost backers and had to find new ones and had to run our credit twice. The only time Jay called me was for bad news. Every time I called for an update it would take him days to respond, or me calling back.

I previously gave union savings bank 5 stars because the loan officers I worked with (Luke and team) made the closing process seamless and really did go above and beyond. In addition, when reaching out for additional assistance, Lisa was also very helpful. I am changing my review based on the POST closing experience I have had.Fast forward: I have since called for muliple reasons and have learned that with this bank, you will NOT:1.Receive paper statements2.Have access to ANY of your mortgage info via an online portal (you have to call to have screenshots sent to you from the bank!)This is mind boggling in 2021Most recently I have been trying to refinance and have tried to reach out to the payoffs department via phone and email for two weeks (specifically corresponded with Brian) who just will not respond with my payoff amount. If I would have known this is how the bank operates, I would have reconsidered my options.

DO NOT use this bank for your mortgage. They have been the worst people to deal with. Supposedly they’re open 24/7 but somehow they’re never available. Our first payment is due today and we’ve been trying to set up our account. We’ve been able to reach no one for assistance. Because of their poor communication and lack of customer service we will probably get charged a late fee. Union Savings Bank has been a nightmare to deal with. If you’re buying a house let this place be your absolute last resort for a loan.

Had a great experience with Luke Andreen & the Union Savings Bank team for my FHA home loan. I was so naïve about the process and found them to be straightforward, personable, honest, responsive, and competent. The team members handled the details in a seamless fashion. Will definitely be referring them!

I would NOT recommend using Union Savings Bank for any home buying services. My husband and I were working with Union Savings Bank to procure a mortgage for a home purchase. We provided all requested information timely (approx. six weeks prior to the closing). Two weeks prior to the closing, we received a request for additional information. All additional information requests were answered within two days. A week prior to the closing, we received our initial closing disclosure leading us to believe that everything was still on track. On the day we were scheduled to close, we received nine additional requests for information. Four days after our initial closing date, we received three additional information requests while providing us with no timeline for when they would actually review the requested information. As moving requires a lot of coordination, we’ve had to reschedule movers, utility transfers, and appliance deliveries. We’ve had to take additional time off from work and have incurred additional fees. They certainly managed to turn an exciting milestone in our lives into a true nightmare.

If there was a way to give 0 stars I would. We were pre-approved for a loan. Fantastic we put an offer in on a house. Every single person we talked to told us we had the loan. We received a closing day September 11th. Date rolls around the bank needs more paperwork. Sent that in. Next date Septemver 18th. Paperwork is still not back from underwriting. Told September 21st was our closing we hear nothing. Finally today I call the bank and we are told we were not approved for the loan. Moral of the story even if you have 10,000 down on a 68,000 dollar home with a 720 credit score and a monthly income bring home of 3,000 they will still deny you but not give you a heads up to find other options. Not just that but we paid to get out of my apartment lease and will be homeless as of October first because of this banks lack of communication. This lender pretends to care but truly doesn't. Now we are left with brand new appliances and no place to live. I wonder if my fiance and I and my baby will fit in the cardboard box it comes in. I am so MAD. OH THERE IS MORE WE DIDN'T GET THE HOME BECAUSE THEY DON'T BELIEVE THE VALUE WILL GO UP. ARE YOU KIDDING ME THERE IS A THIRD FLOOR TO BE FINISHED THAT ALONE WILL ADD VALUE. PLUS ADDING A PORCH ON THE BACK AND THE GARAGE FOR THE CAR WE WANT TO PUT IN. SOMEONE AT THIS BANK IS AN IDIOT. Currently given a 1 star rating***Edit***The bank is now helping us get another kind of loan. A FHA loan. We will see where this goes. The gentleman I talked to today seems very helpful. I will update as we go. Currently increased too 2 stars only because the guy today was super informative and helpful.

I wish I could give zero stars!!!! This wasn’t my mortgage company however they were the company representing the potential buyers of my home. Absolutely rude employee specifically “Jay” wasn’t helpful at all we found out the day of closing one hour before closing we was not closing on our home completely unprofessional and has cause such a huge ripple effect that not only did we not sell our house we lost the house we were buying and the sellers of that house also lost their house because of this companies Inability to communicate and officially do their job! I am so disgusting with this place and would absolutely not recommend it to anyone who actually needs a loan because you maybe told day of closing your transaction isn’t happening which is pathetic!

The only reason they have a one is because I could not rate them a zero absolutely unacceptable customer service. Very rude employee! They need new staff or they will go down the tubes! Sad excuse for a company.....

We have used Luke Andreen and his group for multiple mortgages and refi's, they are extremely helpful and efficient. They go above and beyond to educate you about your loans and options. I refer everyone to them and will continue to do so.
