I'm sorry but the woman working at this Lawrenceville location at 930am on 8/31/23, wanted to charge me $250 to ship my package, this was after a $60 estimate at another location. She looked at me like I was holding her up and the way she looked at the package, I knew there was no way it costs that much. Ended up costing me $33 at the squirrel hill location. Both places I asked for the cheapest way for delivery.

It's with a sad heart that I leave this review. Neil was our mailman here in Lawrenceville for years. His service to the community was outstanding. Just when you think public service hasn't much to offer along comes someone like Neil. He never missed a beat. He stopped faithfully everyday even when there was no delivery just to check and make sure that I didn't have any outgoing mail. I've shipped many boxes out over the years to my customers and he never complained, but lightheartedly joked with me about them. He deserves a 10 star review, but this site only allows for 5. Thanks for all your years of dedicated service and the parting bear hug. I truly will miss you. Peace, Phoenix Boutique.

Convenient and very nice employees. Helped me mail a package when I had incorrectly packaged it. Highly recommend!

I recently moved to the neighborhood and visited this post office twice. On my first visit, I noticed the man in charge was in a bad mood. He was unfriendly and made me feel very uncomfortable. I proceeded with caution, a bit afraid of him to be honest. My next visit went a bit worse than that. He was again in a bad mood, again was unfriendly, but this time I needed to send a package to South America, which was a bit more complicated. He took this opportunity to push me around and tried to intimidate me. I felt bullied by him and I realized I should leave the place asap. I jumped into my car and proceeded to the Millvale post office. Once there, I was relieved to see a bigger office with three friendly faces. I am thinking about filling a formal complaint with USPS. No woman should feel intimidated by a postal worker!

I really small lobby, but a really big hearted front desk clerk. Always in a good mood(saying a lot for postal employees) eager to help, ask you if you need stamps , envelopes, and other postal supplies. Always have had no problems with this facility. It seems like either that place has been there forever or I'm just noticing I'm getting old & long in the tooth. lol. No problems with this post office that I can report. Nothing but good things. And that's a good thing!

I understand that most post offices are not an "enjoyable" experience for the workers or the customers most of the time but some are a lot more tolerable and reliable than others, this location isn't one of them. I arrived at this location 15 minutes before closing, when I got there another couple was waiting outside not able to get in also. If you want to chance coming here, only for them to not be open during posted business hours, go for it, chances are they will be closed. Find another location.

I'll be honest -- I'm usually only compelled to write reviews when I have a negative experience; however, I am personally offended by the 1-star reviews on here. Andy (the guy that usually works here at the Lawrenceville location) is the man. He's genuinely friendly, efficient, doesn't look annoyed that you walked in the door... (like at the Bloomfield/Liberty Ave location). I would be truly upset if he ever stopped working there. Then you might have more to complain about.

I had previously had excellent service (wonderful gentleman). I came to get some stamps and did not realize that dogs were not allowed. No one was in the post office so I could have purchased stamps within a few minutes or less. The lady working (Kathy) was simply horrible to me-I asked if I could just quickly buy some stamps. She proceeded to yell at me and demanded I leave ASAP. Needless to say, I was shaken and taken completely aback. The USPS should NOT have individuals like Kathy in their employ. A little courtesy/kindness would have gone a long way...
