One time I had an envelope to mail to somebody's PO box located inside this location, so I dropped it into the lobby slot. I believe that's proper procedure, should be no different than dropping it in a blue bin outside. It had the correct postage and address and everything, but I guess mailing it to a PO box in the same building as the drop slot really confused the staff at this location. It took about a month to get to the PO box and had a bunch of writing on it, as if a postal detective had to get involved and tell the clueless employees at this location how to do their jobs.
Another time I went in to buy stamps and the lady was super cold towards me. I don't know what these branch employees are paid but frankly any amount is too much for a useless employee like her. I've met unpaid volunteers with better attitudes.

Few times I've dealt w/ staff, they've always been pleasant and helpful. Normally I go their 1-3 times a year (12-ish yrs), but usually at night. Can go in after hrs and have partial access...electronic kiosks, PO Boxes and such. It's perfect if all u need is to buy some stamps or drop off mail.

I agree with other comments saying that it's the best postal office with friendliest and most helpful staff. I have been using this postal office for many years and never had a single unpleasant moment.They all are helpful, kind and friendly. Once I left my cellphone at the counter and they kept it for me :)I always feel positive and pleasant every time I visit there. Just watching them how nicely they treated to elderlies and helping them made me felt wholesome even in the busy hours at the post-office.Thank you all!

Anyone giving this branch anything less than five stars is the most privileged silly slob ever and has clearly never been to a post office that is actually bad. The desk workers at this branch are kind, efficient and patient with customers - even the ones who are showing up unprepared and acting like they’ve never sent a package in their life.I cannot say with enough enthusiasm how wonderful I think this post office is. I’ve been multiple times at different hours during various levels of “busy-ness” and always been impressed with how the workers in this branch conduct themselves.Having moved from a neighborhood with just one fairly decent and two truly horrible post offices, I recognize a good thing when I see it. These Karens in the comments need to get a grip on reality.

Best Post Office experience I've had in years. James and the other gentleman were wonderful--they helped me select smaller boxes to save money. They were patient, kind, helpful, and had great attitudes and senses of humor. I would go out of my way to use the Squirrel Hill post office again! Plus they are open until 6pm on weekdays, which is fantastic.

I've always received excellent and attentive service here. They have enough labels and forms available and are alert to the number of people in line, often giving instructions to people waiting (if they need to fill out forms or such) to expedite things. Good selection of stamps, too!

I print my labels now. Won't go in there again. They get an extra star cause we love our mail carrier...we would give him alone 5 stars but going into the post office that dirty hippie looking one is rude.
