On the whole our experience was great. One of us got the special the other the lobster risotto. The risotto was very salty and lobster only because there were the tiniest bits of leg meat although there were three large shrimp and two scallops on top that were good. The tiramisu was very good and a generous portion even for sharing. Our cocktails were well prepared and tasty. We would return, but not order the lobster risotto!

Atmosphere: three. Nothing exciting. The entrance is nice and the bar area with large window is decent. Larger part of restaurant is just an open room with tables. Outdated mural on one wall.Service Three: they were busy but our service wasn’t great. I don’t think they had enough waiters for the amount of folks there. Is what it is.Food Two (and this means it was edible but that’s about it): This is where they get the least amount of stars. This is the second time I’ve been here, the first was years ago and we forgot we had come here before. Found the place as available last minute reservation on OpenTable so booked it. When we walked in and recognized where we were…both of us looked at each other and sighed. Food sucked last time, but hey maybe it will be better? No. No it wasn’t.Focaccia was not great. Talia Cucina’s foccacia is amazing compared to this. Clams as app: Disgusting, loaded with weird seasoning and tasted way too fishy. Swordfish, presentation was laughable, looked like it was microwaved on a pile of sh*t. Lemon chicken! This was the server’s recommendation! It was two pieces of over cooked chicken thighs that had no lemon flavoring. It came with one lemon that was chargrilled but there was no actual lemon flavor. It tasted like fried chicken from a corner store. Never again.

The meal and the service were excellent. Our waiter, Anthony, was very good even though he was serving a number of tables. He was attentive, nonetheless. The salads were excellent as were the entrees.

Went here before a show at the Benedum on a Saturday night. I have been here plenty of times before - but solely for business lunches as I work downtown. This was my first dinner, and I was surprised how crowded it was. Great Italian food - always enjoy the food here. Service was extremely fast and friendly. Only minor complaint was the cost - salad and two pasta dinners was close to $100.

Seated at high top bar table despite having made reservation in advance. Waited over an hour after ordering for meal to arrive at table. One meal (pizza) arrived and then the other (vodka pasta) 5 minutes later. Had less than ten minutes to eat main course until we had to leave for show (informed waitstaff in advance). No time for dessert. Pizza was cold and crust was hard. Very disappointing for a fine restaurant.

Absolutely gorgeous place The food was pretty good. The service was great. My only complaint is that the pork in the ravioli was a bit too salty for me and there was sardine slivers on my Caesar salad which I might have missed on them menu description, if it was on there.

Great service ! Food was ok. Appetizers were best part of the meal. Wine list very good. We will go back related to the great service and interest in trying other dishes on the menu- cozy and Italian authenticity. Very busy and great team work !!

This hidden gem has become our new favorite place for dinner when we're in the city. From the fabulous service that Stefanie provided to the food that was out of this world, we're determined to let as many people know about this place as possible!

The food was horrific. My spouse and I both had seafood risotto. What a mistake. The shrimp was uncooked and dish smelt terrible. Bread pudding dessert was good. Start and end with dessert. Hard pass

From the time we walked in to the time we left the staff was amazing! This was my boyfriend and Is first time here and it was amazing! The servers were great, the food came out and was perfect. Also, the espresso martini was the best one I have ever had (and I've had a lot from a lot of different places). The overall mood and vibe in there was perfect for a valentines dinner. I also enjoyed not being rushed, and when we did place an order for apps/drinks/food it all came out in a timely manner. Cannot wait to go back there!

My husband and I mourned the loss of our favorite restaurant, The Carlton , when it closed during the pandemic .What restaurant would match the attention to detail in food quality, aesthetically pleasing food, service, and decorum? The answer is Vallozi's.I was served by Katie, who understood what wine would match my veal piccatta and my husband's veal strip. The food was cooked to perfection and was very baesthetically pleasing. We followed up our meal with a gluten-free flour less chocolate cake and a glass of chambord liquor before going to The Pittsburgh Symphony. We found our new favorite restaurant. ?Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free options

From entering the restaurant and upon leaving, all staff were very friendly. Our waiter Matt was very tentative. Our meal's were very good. It was nice to have coffee from a French Press.

My family and I are more familiar with their Greensburg location. The food (quality and taste) is far better in Greensburg. Also the Pittsburgh location does not offer any happy hour selections. However, the service, location and atmosphere were very good.

Overall wonderful dining experience. Our waiter, Anthony, was perfectly attentive and accommodating. We had the arancini, the pear salad and crab cakes. The food was perfectly seasoned and so very tasty. Always a pleasure to dine at Vallozzi's.
