My beagle named Romeo, went here for 8 years. And we had got the upmost best care. Unfortunately my dog has passed away unexpectadley last evening. But I highly recommend this vet to anyone that is in of one. I'm not sure if we will be returning, not because of the staff or care, but because we have moved and it's a further commute. But definitely would still recommend them!

We’ve been with Dr. Dorn and his staff for years. He managed my family dog’s heart condition and extended his life exponentially. Now he takes great care of our lab.

With the increase in demand for vet services the quality of care has greatly decreased. We have now gone through the process of cancer and eventual euthanasia with two dogs under their care. Both times this clinic has treated the symptoms only despite my essential begging that something was wrong. Two weeks ago I begged to make an appt for my one dog and was told by the vet tech that it would be a waste of my time - those were her exact words. And they told me that my dog was having diarrhea from the stress of having a new baby - I was still in the hospital at the time and I knew my dog and that wasn’t it. They prescribed anti-diarrheal medication instead that didn’t work. We took him to PVSEC and he ended up having lymphoma and a host of other issues and passed less than 2 weeks later. I’m not sure if she was speaking on behalf of Dr Dorn or providing her own opinions, but we had similar issues with our first dog that had cancer. Insisted on treating only the symptoms and not looking at the whole animal and the owners knowledge of the pet. Will not be returning.

I can't say enough good things about this vet clinic. We have now taken 3 ferrets to see Dr. Dorn over the years with several illnesses that other vets were unable to assist with. Dr. Dorn is very knowledgeable and truly cares about his clients. I trust him completely with my pets and know he has their best interest in mind. The staff is very friendly, understanding, and accommodating as well. Highly recommend West Liberty Animal Hospital.

IF YOU LOVE YOUR ANIMALS, DON'T TAKE THEM HERE.I was scammed from the first minute. Before anything, they required me to fill out a document with my credit card details, on which they started to make unauthorized charges. After a demeaning treatment and a service for which I prepaid a senseless amount, I went back to cancel it. They agreed to do the cancellation, confirming the next day that the cancellation was in progress. Once supposedly solved, the doctor called me with a mocking and arrogant tone, treating me like a fool and denying me the return of my money.Real thieves without love for animals.

My 18 year old kitty had a scare, and she needed a new vet to check her out. I liked Dr. Dorn's straightforward manner. The vet techs were kind and caring, and the front desk was super helpful, and asked a lot of questions to make sure they understood the situation. I will be taking my other days there for their appointments in the future. The protocol once you have an appt is to get to the parking lot and call the number. They will send a vet tech out of bring in your animal. At this time, you are allowed in with your pet.

I cannot say enough great things about the staff of West Liberty Animal Hospital. More recently, Dr. Dorn, the female vet whose name I unfortunately don't remember, and the techs were so kind and helpful as my husband and I went through the final weeks of our 17-year-old cat's kidney disease earlier this year. During one of the most heartbreaking times of our lives, we felt supported, and knew our cat was getting excellent care. Now that we have gotten a new kitty who has some health issues (deafness and CH), we also take her to Dr. Dorn. He has again been so helpful. My aunt started taking my baby chinchilla to Dr. Dorn about 27 years ago, where he treated her for an eye infection. I hope to keep taking my pets there for years to come!

My 13 year old boxer/lab Nala is now recovering from surgery for a very common yet much untreated until sometimes too late mast cell tumor.(Look it up)Thanks to Dr.Dorn and staff for the care and treatment she has received.I am probably more nervous about a Vet visit than her,but am so grateful to have her well and to have had a good experience so she will not fear any care if needed in the future.

Because WLAH had restrictions on pet parents coming into the office for the last 2 years due to Covid, I had never actually been inside with my 2 year old black lab for any of his vet appointments until yesterday. I’ve always thought the staff at WLAH was friendly, but my opinion was only based on my experiences with them over the phone or brief conversations in the parking lot with Dr. Dorn after my dog’s appointments. Yesterday, I was finally able to go inside with him, as they have lifted their restrictions. I got to see just how much he truly LOVES everyone in the office. He ran right inside and every tech greeted him with enthusiasm and showed him lots of love. The vet we saw yesterday was also very friendly, thorough and took the time to answer my questions. My dog was happy and comfortable throughout the entire appointment. I grew up with dogs who always hated the vet and it was a 2 person job to get them there, but the staff at WLAH have made going to the vet such a pleasant experience. We appreciate everyone in this office!!
