I have been a member for over a year. The device has always been slow. Recently I called and made an appointment with an associate who I was told could help with my request for notary service. She looked up my account to make sure I was a member. I showed up at the Pittston branch which in nearest my home. They told me that although I called Pittston the person I talked to was I the Wyoming Branch. All calls go to the same number and you have no idea which branch unless they tell you. This person didn’t tell me. I then drove to the Wyoming branch and after she looked at the paperwork said she couldn’t notarize them. She never asked on the phone what I had or that she couldn’t notarize different kinds of documents. She spent several minutes going through them but said she felt uncomfortable. These were straightforward documents. I picked them up, went to my bank and had everything done with no problem. I thought credit unions were supposed to be more helpful than banks to their customers. This credit union is anything but. We have 2 accounts with them that I will be closing out. I do not suggest this credit union for your business.

When I call for a loan officer, she never picks up my calls, she doesn't call me back after I leave my name an number, it would take her 3 days to call if I keep calling if I don't she doesn't call at all .. when I walk in the bank there's literally one to no customer's there... I pay my payments on time never missed not one.. if there so busy they should have more then one loan officer... there's stuff I need to pay in these hard times. I'm probably going to change banks but I don't think they care about losing a customer

Been a member since my teens. The only issue I have now is when I started my job, my first check was in a paper form and I was told the check needs to clear first. My employer was the state so I would hope the check was good. I ended up going to Walmart and cashing the check that night. If Walmart trust my check, then you would think the bank I had been a member for 25 years would trust it as well.

Been using ufcw since I was 18 and think they are a good bank. Lose a star because they wouldn't let me cash a cheque that had mine and my wife's name on it just cause she wasnt with me.

I opened an account here a few months ago to start keeping some savings that I couldn't just access from my phone. First off, when you open an account here, they charge you for a debit card and then charge you monthly because you have that card. This is a way out of date practice. Secondly, I received a state refund check from NJ because that is where I work. The bank was reluctant to cash it and made me play 20 questions about why I would have a refund from NJ. Finally, they ultimately wouldn't cash the check or deposit in my account because the check had both mine and my wife's names on it and she was not with me at the time. I promptly closed my account. I urge anyone looking for a banking option to consider a better bank. In general, I prefer small businesses and institutions, but this antiquated credit Union with backwards policies is a disgrace to the community and frankly deserves to be destroyed by larger more reliable banking solutions.
