Very expensive, and good luck finding a time when the deli is open. I've been there three times this week, at 9am, 5pm, then 4 pm. Closed every time. Theres not even a sign today stating what time they closed, or if they're even closed! Three people are standing there wondering if anyone is coming. Trying to find an employee to tell me what hours they might be open is a joke, every lane is self checkout and no one to be found.

Check your products before you buy from here. Went to buy milk and almost every jug was expired by more than 4 days. Also bought candy, got home and realized it looks like it has been tampered with. Will not return here again. Also, no cashiers. They make you check out your own groceries as people stand there and watch you do their jobs. So gross lol

Very similar to Sprouts or Sunflower Market out west. If you need specialty supplements, health and beauty or foods you won’t find at your other stores that carry health foods, it’s great. We had soup from their hot bar that actually had all the ingredients clearly marked. The soup was delicious. The sushi is adequate at best but not in-house, perhaps indicative of general interest for this type of food in the area. We passed on prepared salads that looked not quite fresh enough. Some of the things here are cheaper elsewhere and only more because of the health food label.

Vegetables are good but other products are expensive compared to rest. But some of the rare products are available here.

Love their selection, but they need to do something about their self checkout registers. The last several weeks of shopping here, myself and everyone else checking out needs an assistant to finish the sale. I don't know if the OS needs updating or what, but it's a pain

Used to be a great place to shop with fresh and plentiful produce and a great meat selection. Now the fruit is picked over and even rotten (strawberries and blackberries today were moldy), and hardly any meat to pick from (for example, no pork chops at all and only ground beef today were a few massive packs of 5+ lbs). Similar experience my last two times there so I unfortunately won't be back anytime soon. I wonder if there was a change in management over the past year or so.

TL;DR -- Used to be great, now its all self checkout and unbelievably frustrating.Used to have this at 5 stars --- I LOVED this place -- great/fresh produce and a good variety -- the meats were always on point -- it was by FAR by favorite grocery store in the area, and I visited about once a week. Then a few months back they removed all their cashiers and put in self checkouts! They left one register open for people who don't want to use them, and it was OK for a while, but now the last few visits they no longer have a cashier working that register and so it is usually 100% self checkout -- as a result I barely go here anymore. It is so annoying -- especially in a farmers market where 75% of my groceries are produce -- to have to manually key in each and every product. To make it worse their alphabetical categories do not work. For example you go to A-C and look for Cantaloupe -- and it is not there. You have to click on Organic and then Search for it!I do not work at Fresh Thyme -- I am not your cashier!!!! I am here to pick up produce in exchange for money and now I have to work here too? Its so frustrating. And to make matters worse their self checkouts are TINY! Seriously go there with a cart of groceries and its impossible to separate what you have rung up and what you haven't because you have a 2ftx2ft space to put EVERYTHING you are purchasing! It is such a shame -- I genuinely LOVED this place but now I rarely if ever go here. What's worse it is the quality of produce I get at the local Giant Eagle or Shop N Save is worse, yet I go there anyway just because checking out of Fresh Thyme is such a Pain in the butt!PLEASE IF YOU WORK AT FRESH THYME -- PLEASE BRING BACK THE CASHIERS AT THE REGISTERS!! I am happy to wait in line. I am happy to come back and shop weekly, but I am not willing to spend 15-20 minutes manually keying in the produce I buy at every visit. At the very least man your sole remaining register!!!! PLEASE I MISS YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Strike 1Went in a few months ago, and picked up two different loafs of bread, both had mold. When I let my cashier know, she said I should let the deli department know. Really ?! When I done checking out you would like me to roll my buggy to the deli department and let them know ???Strike 2I can’t even say bad customer service, because they had none. You check yourself out when cashier goes on break!

my wife loves this store but i was impressed with how enthusiastic the guy working the front of the store was. that guy has got the best attitude of any employee that deals with the general public all day long. he needs to be cloned and payed royaltees for his clones.

So all self check outs and I'm supposed to know how to look up products on YOUR system? Easy at to lose customers. Ask homedepot how going all shelf check out worked for them... hint they changed it back within 2 months

Fresh Thyme considers itself a "farmer's market" and their produce is front and center as you enter the store. Featured weekly items are easily located. I sometimes wonder whether they are a test market for an array of unusual brands, nevertheless, it does add a new dimension to grocery shopping (guaranteed personality? sorry, couldn't help myself).Recently installed self-checkouts expedite the process if you don't have time to chat with the friendly cashiers. My one suggestion: Please open the cafe for in-store dining. It is presently used as a workspace for employees. There are ways to resolve the small space issue.Musings: Ever notice the "spiritual war" going on at Fresh Thyme?Example?Death Wish Coffee and Halo Ice Cream.

I was at the Fresh Thyme in Pleasant Hills today and an older lady was asking about the New York Strip special. Well the special is only for a whole loin. She asked if they would cut it for her and they told he is would be an extra $2 a pound. The piece she wanted to buy was 10 lbs so an extra $20! I saw 4 employees standing around doing nothing. They could have easily cut this for her. She asked for the manager and he told her no also! Between the time they spent explain to her they couldn't they very well could have! I know how you cut loins of meat it would have taken all but 5 minutes to help this older lady. I am 5 ft tall myself and she was smaller then I am. I think as a corporate store you should show your customers a little more hospitality especially the senior citizens! SHAME ON YOU FRESH THYME!

Beautiful super market, excellent prices and beautiful produce! Will definitely be shopping here again. Lots of choices to choose from, excellent quality products! Not crowded at all!
