“I ate a meatball hoagie from here in like 2011 that I still think about. I have never before or since found one that slapped that hard - could not believe those out-of-the-warming-pot meatballs and fresh sliced prov could make that magic but it did.Also tried my friend’s sandwich which was the Italian (as advertised, a true classic - hard to find them like that anywhere but the old delis now) but I was so lost in the sauce of the meatballs that it didn’t matter.Also, the guy behind the counter? So helpful, so kind, so clearly proud of the place and the product.”

“A true down home experience. Country roots always return Jefferson city missouri and Macon georgia to be exact. They have smoked meats game and other varieties. The butcher shop has been a big part of my childhood. Dave's meat market is a true gem in the city of philadelphia grab your cast iron and music get ready to cook with love .”
“I normally don't get eat lunch during the day. But today I needed something to give me so extra fuel. I decided to grab a Caesar Salad from this place. They were nice enough to add grilled mushrooms when I asked. I really enjoyed the home made croutons that came on the salad as well. I don't think this neighborhood deli gets the credit they deserve. The menu is packed full with wonderfully deli items both hot and cold. If your looking for a great meal, skip the the grease pits and crappy corner stores. And order something from here. Truly one of the best Deli's in West Philly.”
“My husband and I started going to Joe's about 15 years ago. It has recently been sold, and seems to be doing really well. There are a couple of nasty reviews here, but I think they are unfair and untrue. The shelves are fully stocked, the service is excellent and the meat as fresh and well priced as ever. Yes, it's a small place, it was always a small place. But they will do whatever is necessary to give you the cut of meat that you want as well as the weight that you want (so I don't have to buy 2 lbs when I only need 1 1/2 lbs) and at a better price than the supermarket. Go see for yourself; don't listen to the nasties.”
“Excellent selection of meats that I was not able to find anywhere else in the Philadelphia region. The store is clean bright. Everything is nicely labeled and organized. Staff was super pleasant. Efficient and quick prices are incredible. It's a shame I have not visited the store earlier. I always drove by instead of coming in until I came across the website and I was searching for a specific means that we are not available anywhere else, including Whole Foods. They have a whole rabbit they have piglets, they have duck smoked duck whole duck, wings. The prices are hard to believe 1/3 of what you would pay at Whole Foods or other supermarkets. Go visit buy online, pick it up or have it delivered to you. You won't regret it.”

“This grocer has a great selection specialty meats (elk, bison, etc.) and even has organ meats if that is your thing. They have a good selection of grass-fed products. A great place for protein based food that is non to minimally processed. Just beware that all of their products are FROZEN.”

Meats were on the salty side, would be my only words to the wise. Honestly, the best part of the experience was dealing with Dana the manager. “I come here for the bakery! it's my best find yet! I do not like cake, but I swear these cakes are different! I ran over the other day to grab a mini cake for my bff birthday. I got the vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream and they offered to write something on it. I was in and out within 15 minutes! the price point for quality is unbeatable. I adore this little shop.”
