So I don't usually write reviews but I thought this one needed one. I've been going to this giant for a very long time. And loved it. But the past few months have not been very good. And I hope this review will help the people working there. I pray for them. The workers that I have had asked for help with have been absolutely the rudest ppl. I don't understand why. Their customer service is totally unprofessional. And the manager is included with this review to. She is a woman with braids and a chunky strip on white/blonde hair. I've had several unpleasant experiences with her. There were two guys there as well that I asked for help with and they claimed they "don't know". I DO NOT understand how you work for a business and not k ow the business you are working for. Your work ethic sucks. But to end this on a positive note. I want to give a HUGE thank you and a hug to the woman employee who actually greeted me with a smile and said "Good Morning!" She needs recognition. She needs her picture up and on wall. She is what Giant needs someone who actually is happy that they are alive. She has brown hair a little past her shoulder. She had on dark brownish lipstick and about 5'5. High five to her. I wish I would have caught her name. Thank you, thank you for being a real human and being kind. As you can tell people like her a hard to find nowadays. But we need to make them known, so others can hopefully catch on.

My husband and I recently went into Giant (Chemical road, Plymouth Meeting, PA ) on Thursday night (around 7:30 p.m. April 6,2023) to purchase bulk chocolate bunnies. For an event I was attending for work on Friday. When we were checking out there was the most friendliest sales person. His name was Mark. He was personable, had a great sense of humor, and even was up selling the store. He even suggested we obtain a Giant Card, which we did. After we received the card, he went on about the rewards and benefits. You couldn't have ask for a better employee. He definitely needs to win a Wow Award or Employee of the Month. He went out of his way to ensure we had a great experience. We are definitely coming back!! Thanks again Mark!! You are the BEST

This review is for a giant direct online order. I made an online order which was easy and fast. The pick up experience left much to be desired. I was sent a text to telling me my order was ready. I followed all the steps and prompts virtually. Let them know I was here. Person came out to my car. Put the bags in my trunk told me I was good to go. I get home and all of my cold stuff is not with my order. I called to inquire about it, I did not get an apology, I did not get an offer for them to deliver it. I was given two options "are you gonna come and get it or do you want me to credit your account?"All of which spoken with a very apathetic attitude and tone. I went back to the store, because I'm hungry when I called to let them know I was there, more apathy and more of the your bothering me tone. That will be the last time I use giant direct that young man needs a lesson customer service

I have been shopping at Giant, in the Metroplex, at Plymouth Meeting, Pa, for the last 3 years, since the pandemic, their prices have doubled, I might get something one week, and then a few weeks later the shelf will be empty. It is not as clean as it used to be, and over the summer, the last 3 watermelons I bought have been rotted inside, and I bought a loaf of bread last week and the whole loaf was moldy, it was disgusting, I am no longer shopping there, and I now shop at Weis or Shop Rite. Also, 90% of the cashiers are miserable, and act like they are doing me a favor, if they bag for me, the operative word is "IF", my food bill has doubled, as a 66 year old women, I have to ask the cashier to bag for me, which is part of their job. "Good-Bye Giant".

I purchased a whole chicken, Giant brand from the store. I brought it home, cut the plastic and it stunk. The meat was rotting from the inside. The chicken looked normal on the outside. I returned it and they gave me back my money with the manager saying, just give it to her. Thats not the reason I took it back. I wanted them to look at the meats, test the temperature and save others from buying the chicken and immediately freezing it. Please be aware of meats at this store.

Ugh. Where do I start? Overpriced. Everything overpriced. That stupid robot rolling around that gets in your way. Barely any cashiers but they have a robot. Now they have carts with a wheel that just locks up on you intermittently while walking through out the store. Extremely annoying. I imagine that this is to prevent people from stealing the carts. Poorly stocked couldn't even find unsweetened iced tea. Plenty of beer and wine selection, but can't buy after 10pm Weird. Store is dirty. Bathroom is small and filthy. No paper towels. You have to ask the cashier (if you can find one) for the price advertised on their signs. It won't automatically give it to you on self checkout. Also problems getting cash back at night.

This Giant has gone down hill in a big way. The employees are rude and inattentive, stand there on their phones, the check out girl had her earbuds in and didn’t speak to me or look at me once. The self checkout is filthy. Floors are sticky and gross, scanners are disgusting, never any bags to use. Produce isn’t fit for an animal. Never any carts to use. Needs new management asap.

I’ve been the only customer standing in line at the deli and have been here for23 minutes, and the employees have not offered any help. When they finally offered help they were rude and passive aggressive. Terrible!

I used to shop at the Flourtown Giant, now coming to this once for the past 6 months. Compared to Flourtown, this store is terrible. No Scan-It machines, carts arent' retrieved frequently enough and someone please tell me how long it takes to reattach a scanner to it's mount? The self checkout scanners have been just dangling on their wire since I started coming here.

I was checking out through the express checkout line... I had a lot of groceries on me, when I came down to the cat litter trays I had about six of them and I asked the cashier if she could scan them for me... So I didn't have to lift them all out of the cart, She rudely told me to scan them myself. And I told her, other cashiers help me with this because I already have a lot of groceries out and I can't fit these anywhere after I scanned them... And she walks past me and mumbles "oh God" so I ended up scanning them myself... When I was done I asked her why she couldn't help me? And she said we don't do that here... But that's not true I've asked cashiers at the express lane before if they could help me with the cat litter trays... She was very rude, I don't know why she had to be arrogant like that to me.

Every time I go they have moved things around. And They aren’t putting stuff in their logical places. Not even the third or fourth logical place. It means spending 90 minutes in the grocery store because you have to cover every square inch in order to make sure something you’re looking for isn’t missed. They put cheese in five different spots complete opposite ends of the store. They put the pepperoni in the middle of the frozen aisle (and it’s moved at least half a dozen times in the last year). The displays of items are always clogging up the isles so that you can’t get through them. And ever since they stopped cutting their own meat - the meat selection is horrendous. They are out of things constantly. And all of a sudden there’s 55 brands of mayonnaise – which isn’t needed – and the only ones left are the brands nobody wants. And then there’s so many kids with those gigantic carts so that people can get grocery pick up they are totally in the way and you can’t get around them. And they’re oblivious and don’t move when other people are standing there trying to get to the items there in front of or into the role that they’re blocking. And then because they’re all doing that, there’s never enough cashiers any more. They don’t teach the kids how to bag - so Way too often I get home and the bags break because they’re overstuffed or my bread is flat as a pancake because they put it in with a gallon of milk. Unfortunately giant is the only option without getting on the highway. But I hate it.

I have been using Giant Peapod pickup for a year now. No complaints about employees. They're super nice. The only disadvantage of doing pick up at giant, is that by the time my order is gathered, at l least 20% of it is either substituted or missing. However, that's out of their hands, so I'm a happy customer.

Only good thing is that it is convenient. Employees should really be trained on how to wear a mask.. it should cover your nose and mouth. Also, I guess cashiers just stand there and watch you struggle to bag your groceries now? Thanks Aiden for the help.... I rather just drive the extra mile and go to Weiss, their product always appears/looks fresher.

Before covid19, I was a member of Peapod. It was awesome. Put your order in and someone would show up during the appointed time with your groceries. I have been trying to use the new "Giant Direct" service which is evidently a contract service through some company called Speedway and you can't even get on the site more than half the time. Not only that, but I recently had a hip replacement and now I will have to go to Weis or Amazon and learn their app. i am sorry to say it: but goodbye Giant. I loved you back in the day.
