This rental was about my 5th time overall. The "new policy" of returning the truck with the same level of fuel is very subjective. It used to be to top of the tank FULL. No guessing ! To prevent being charged their high price per gallon, no doubt everyone adds a gallon or two extra when returning the vehicle. At almost $4 per gallon, that may add a substantial extra $amount.
